- The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) First Time Watching Movie Reaction, Review, and Commentary for JL. Many moments of wishing horrible things on the majority of the cast and at least one moment of not caring what happens to the dinosaurs anymore were had.

Your side eye look when the Asian Guys were running from the Trex (like Godzilla) was the best thing I've seen all month 😂😂😂😂😂
I thought the exact same thing!
I'm so glad someone else mentioned this! I laughed out loud when he did that!
I think they're saying something like, "I moved from Japan to get away from this sort of thing!" as they run.
The side-eye at the Godzilla moment killed me 😂
Yes I loved that!!! Didn’t even have to say a word.
One of them is actually saying " this is why i got out of Tokyo"
It's amazing to hear people's testimonials on how channels like this get them through pain and depression and hardship. Who would've thought but it's really quite astounding. Good job!
That's because watching a channel like this, especially with a sweet guy like Jay, is akin to visiting 2 old friends. Jay, and your favorite movies.
@@trekkiejunk + don't forget the dogs...
@@trekkiejunkabsolutely 💯 💯 !
Bandaid. The only thing that will cure depression is the person changing their own habits and improving. They will just fall into depression again if a RUclips channel is what “cured” them. Guaranteed
Im so glad i found this channel , legit watch it every night now before going to sleep
Congratulations, Puglle! As an alcoholic, myself, I sympathize with what you're going through. Choosing to enter detox couldn't have been an easy choice, so I'm glad you made it. As the Unaliver Whistler said, you have all of us behind you. This is a battle you can win.
Unaliver Whistler? LOL. Nicely done.
Take care Puggle. Rooting for you. Wishing you well. Thoughts and prayers for you and anyone else here who are going through struggles and experiencing pain. ❤
I love your, "Shut up!"--every time! And the fact that your babies look at you with such devotion says a lot about you. Fun movies deserve fun reactions and you have the best!
Not a fun movie
@@amitdutta8197 It's a fun movie.
All the best to Puggle. The family is with you
The guy you said "Looks like he smells like Grizzly Longcut Wintergreen" Is actually a famous paleontologist name Robert Bakker, but I bet he'd laugh at that as much as I did 😂😂😂
I havent seen Drogo be so talkative before, i thought he was like the strong silent type 😂😂 hes so cute! ❤
You mean… you thought he was like Gary Cooper.
He was gay? Gary Cooper?
Eddie was a G there would not have been a movie without him saving the main characters, deff one of the best/noble deaths in the entire franchise. Even better when you read the story of how into this scene Richard Schiff(Eddie) was. Rest In Pieces.
this movie is definitely more “horror movie” than the original but Jeff Goldblum shines as Ian Malcom. you’re probably gonna love him even more here, though, most of the cast is a weird downgrade, I feel. they made him the sane straight man at the expense of everyone else not caring about life. any fear you might’ve had from the first movie is probably gonna disappear after the T-Rex appears cause the cast is asking for it.
Yeah, that's a very astute assessment. The lack of sufficient characterization can really drag down an otherwise good film, and that is definitely here. That said, i maintain the supporting cast in Lost World is better than the cast from the Jurassic World movies. Chris Pratt is just Blank Hero Man.
Fun fact: Vince Vaughn and Julianne Moore were in another movie together the following year… the Psycho remake
"girl if you dont get your black ass down, this not the olympics" lmao that made my spit my drink out hahaha
Peter Postlethwaite: "The Usual Suspects", "Alien 3", "Dragonheart", and "Inception" are the ones I've seen him in. He was a fantastic actor. He sadly died of cancer in 2011, another artist lost much too soon.
Also The Town. I loved him in alien 3 tho!
Absolutely loved his work.
I always loved him in Dragonheart ❤
Recently watched "In the Name of the Father" with him along side DDL. He was an exceptional actor with great range.
@@allaboutzii9305 He played that monk, right? lol
“Now you’re John Hammond.” 😧🔥 fire line
RIP Peter William Postlethwaite, OBE (7 February 1946 - 2 January 2011) was an English actor best known for his work as a character actor.
After minor television appearances including The Professionals, Postlethwaite's first major success arose through the British autobiographical film Distant Voices, Still Lives (1988). He had a breakthrough in Hollywood when he portrayed David in Alien 3 (1992) and his international reputation was further solidified when he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for In the Name of the Father. Following this role, he portrayed the mysterious lawyer Mr. Kobayashi in The Usual Suspects and went on to appear in a 70 films. Peace out
Fun fact the guy dying at the end by the T rex breaking his leg goes full circle because he’s the one that broke the babies leg when he was drunk in a deleted scene then left out
This this this. They should have left that’s scene in.
😭 like the scene where we have more screen time with RJ and Roland talking about the expedition and he beats tf out that one guy. And he drops some bars like true hunter doesn't mind if the animal winds. There was not enough escapes. go to my ranch take a look around my trophy room. And tell me what could possibly interest me.
Also they coulda kept the scene where they voted hammon out, bc they name dropped characters from the 1st movie too.
That would explain the baby's hostile reaction when he sees him in the cargo bay; similar to a dog reacting to an abusive owner.
Fun fact, the guy who got eaten by the rex in San Dieago is named David Koepp, and he wrote the screenplay for the movie, in the credits, he's listed as "Unlucky Bastard".
The compy's never killed the little girl at the beginning. They mention her being injured when the parents find her, and in the books they manage to get her to a doctor to treat an "infection" from the bites she received. The books are great.
Yeah that's from the first book 📚
Oh, forgot to bring this up, in case you're curious about the Lysine Contingency plan was about or why it's literally the dumbest idea they ever did in the movie version: The cloned dinosaurs can't produce their own lysine, an essential Amino acid for living. However, the Dinosaurs survived because they ate lysine rich plants and the predators ate the herbivores. So, in short, they didn't do shit to prevent them from surviving on their own, because all these beasts have to do is eat! In the book, it was mentioned the scientists bioengineered the plants to make sure they had no Lysine to give to the herbivores. However, their check stops weren't strong enough, because blueberries managed to find its way to Isla Nublar. So, in the book, God is like "Play me, will you?!"
Some more Dinosaur facts to share, similar to my previous comment. Keep in mind that these facts may not be applicable to InGen's bioengineered creations. Tyrannosaurs potentially exhibited protective parenting behaviors and could lay a substantial number of eggs in a single clutch. However, they likely faced challenges in raising their offspring due to the threat of predators stealing eggs or young ones. Interestingly, they also displayed unexpected affection towards their mates. Though, the parenting behavior might fit well in this movie, hence why the Tyrannosaurs went out of their way to wreck their trailer and hunt down those hunters to make sure they can't mess with their baby.
Velociraptors, despite not being as large as commonly portrayed in Jurassic Park, are about the size of dogs, approximately the size of Drogo. However, they remain formidable predators capable of inflicting significant harm on a fully-grown human. Evidence suggests that Velociraptors did not exhibit a hierarchical pack system like wolves, but rather functioned more like a cooperative group of Komodo Dragons. They would collaborate to bring down larger prey and then compete amongst themselves for the shared meal. The incident where that guy was overwhelmed by a swarm of Compsognathus (Compies) serves as a compelling example of how small carnivores can pose a serious threat, making it an extremely harrowing experience. Picture a scenario akin to being surrounded by a horde of aggressive chickens pecking and tearing at your flesh while you desperately struggle, only for these tiny creatures to then squabble over the remains.
So, as J will put it, if anyone invites you or me to a Dinosaur Island: "NO" especially for these facts I brought up, and others that probably didn't need to be brought up.
I went through detox a few weeks ago. The thought of getting back to my kitties kept me going! Cats are lifesavers.
Congrats, homie. Keep it up.
Hoping you're feeling better. I know the pain. It works if you work it your worth it!

Puggle, get well soon. I too am a recovering alcoholic. Been sober almost 4 years now. I understand the struggle. Rooting for you big time big dog!
I recently watched this again, and when the T-rex goes to get a drink, I immediately thought of J and how that dinosaur is probably going on the "Ain't Shit" list now.
I just celebrated my one year anniversary of not drinking after having been drunk for almost 15 years straight.
Mate, if I can do it, you got this! Take care of yourself, get back to your loved ones, If I can recommend one thing… watch some Jocko Willink videos. Start working out and doing jiu jitsu. It helped me. You don’t have time to poison your body when you are in a war. And you are in one, with yourself. But you’ll win. Need to quit drinking? Need rehab? Good. Get after it. 🤙😎
Puglle, you have already gotten through one of the hardest parts. That is admitting there is an issue and seeking the help you need. Stay strong and diligent and you will be on the right path soon. Rooting for you!
Couldn’t of said it better, myself!! You can do it, Puglle!!! We are here for you !!
50:16 - The guy eaten in front of the video store was the writer of the movie, credited as "unlucky bastard"
😂😂
Pete Postlethwaite is the actor you recognize, from "The Usual Suspects". For more of him any of dozens of movies, but I like "Brassed Off" or "Dragonheart" both (1996), or of course "Inception" (2010).
Hahaha! I know him from "James and the Giant Peach," which is an entirely different type of character altogether. Tee hee
@@randinskip3457 A fantastic and versatile actor.
I love that every time he gets scared he just stares at the camera before saying 'Shut up'. Gets me every time XD
Glad you enjoyed this one!
Eddie is the MVP.
Looking forward to what you think of part 3.
Agreed. Eddie is the MVP R.I.P.
The original Jurassic Park is a classic, and more people seem to prefer it to this one (based on Rotten Tomatoes scores and overall box office returns), but I still think this one is a lot of fun, too.
You are smoking crack!
The original Jurassic Park is 91% on rotten tomatoes and the sequel was only 54%
What is wrong with you
Thank you guys for the time and effort you put in to bring us a smile on the regular. I got to thank the patreons too for helping support this awesome when the algorithm tries everyone but Jesus 🙏🏽
RIP Eddie. You're up there with Samwise Gamgee in my book. ♥
J, I lost my shit laughing at the start with you wanting Ian's glistening bare chest. 🤣
The actor who played Eddie was also the subway driver in Speed from 1994, he gets shot and killed by Dennis Hopper’s character
Drogo looks like he’s eating air when barking 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Eddie was a absolute hero.
Poor Eddy has the most brutal death
Yes, I’m here for Puggles. Proud of you for doing what you needed to do. You’ll get through it! And also, yes, J, your puppies make us happy! Much love to you all. You make my days better watching your videos
The look on my man J’s face during the ‘Godzilla’ moment.. priceless!
i love how in EVERY movie that Jeff Goldblum is in he plays himself lol
John Hammond is CRAZY in this movie…. Certifiably insane.
This is one of your best reactions 😂😂😂
Why is that?
You are definitely one of my absolute favorite reactors on RUclips...always love to see those cute sidekicks behind you too 🥰
I knew I was going to hear "shut the f*ck up!" When Vince Vaughn appeared!! LOLLL
Puggle I love you and am here on your team I'm a struggling alcoholic that's been in and out of rehab before and I know it's so hard but we got this we can get through this
A not so fun fact about the baby rex scene is that in a earlier deleted scene , Ludlow and Tembo were talking and drinking around it. While drunk, Ludlow trips and falls onto the baby rex's leg, causing the fracture. He then gets up angrily and starts kicking the poor thing. Tembo then points his rifle at Ludlow and calmly but furiously demanded him to stop. I guess having both barrels of a .600 nitro express rifle pointing at you is a serious deterrent.
25:26 "Girl get up! I ain't coming to get you" had me screaming😂😂😂❤
Crazy how the nature expert was more scared of a harmless milk snake than he was the t rex
Puglle- i hope u get thru it big dawg! I was a heroin addict for years and i know how hard addiction can be. It never really goes away but it does get easier over time! Some advice would be to find something positive to get adicted to like the gym or running ect. Dont stay idle and good luck to u! It takes major balls to get clean and a lot of heart to stay clean. We all support u and wish u well bro!
Awesome murder whistle!.perfect example of good use of social media.we didnt know about puggle, but thru u he now has a whole army rooting for him.
Doggo said, "gromph gromph I'mma T Rex too" lol. 🤣
Pete Postlethwaite the bald hunter was Friar Lawrence in Romeo + Juliet 1996 which you need to watch. Very poetic guy
You had just under 40K subs when you filmed this, you already up to 43K when you post it. Growth like that is crazy man! So proud of you guys! Congrats and keep up the awesome content!
And much love to you Pug, good luck with your struggles man!
I love the sounds Drogo makes. You should hear my dog when he stretches in the morning. He sounds like he's singing. He also howls at the end of his barks. It sounds hilarious.
Peter Stormaire's character went out like Hammond was supposed to at the end of the first movie. (That's how he goes out at the end of the book. ) Death by cute little Compsognathus swarm.
Nick and SAR-AH HAR-DING!!! are the WOOOORST!!! The trailer scene and raptors in the high grass scenes are GOAT-ed though.
"they got vince vaughen in this bitch for no reason?!"
Cracks me up every time😂
I mean he's a co star J, it's not no reason😂
That little girl survived cuz she wasn’t alone and in seconds she had help from a bunch of people. So they weren’t attacking a child by herself anymore all those adults seemed like predators to them so they stopped their attack and went into defense mode and they left. It’s like African wild dogs or hyenas attacking a lone lioness they gangsta until a 500 pound male lion pulls up.
4:41 As an avid enjoyer of seafood, allow me to clarify:
Prawns are to shrimp what crocodiles are to alligators. Very, very similar but just different enough to be classified as different animals.
Because I've seen this numerous times...the best part..well beyond the jump scares..was Drogo..💚💚💚...
🌿🌿🌿
"Thanks for Playin!" is now a core phrase in my vocabulary! Loved this
“Can you imagine calling State Farm in the morning? A T-Rex just come through here!” LMFAAAAAAAOOOOOO PLS🤣🤣🤣🤣
If you want to see Pete Postlethwaite in one of his best bad guy roles, you should watch the Sharpe series. As an added bonus it's a show where Sean Bean doesn't die!
One thing that took me years to see but when the T-Rex walk by the basketball court, it dribbled... Funniest thing ever. I had to rewind it a few times because I couldn't believe what I was seeing
I was watching my 4 month old grand baby when this showed up on my you tube. I had to stop it and come back to it after. Great reaction! Before my little Pomeranian passed away, he would bark at the TV screen whenever he saw the T Rex.
I still don't understand how you don't have more subscribers. Best channel for reactions. Best video and editing of the movies.
Love how as soon as the Trex ate the dog he wanted it gone lol. Its so true it can eat all the dumb humans but soon as it eats the dog its evil.
Hes right. My best friend was out camping and had a 3 Musketeers bar just laying around. Next thing he knows, there is a king cobra, a rattlesnake, and an anaconda in his tent. Those snakes stabbed him to death with a knife, stole his identity, married his wife, fathered 2 kids all while getting promoted at his job at work. So what did we learn? Dont leave candy bars laying around and snakes are some cold a$$ b!tches.
I love being apart of this family. Here for everyone. Praying for anyone who needs it.
This one was always my fave of the original trilogy. Ian Malcolm steady talking common sense n everyone is just like we're good right here. 😂😂❤❤ 😊🎉
Guess you never saw the first movie... Jurassic Park is the king of the hill. This one is ok but does not hold a candle to the original. But to each thier own :)
I quietly agree, corey1299.
The first one is the bomb (no doubt)
full of wonder and terror. This one is more cerebral and almost totally geared towards an adult audience. The cut from a child obviously being mutilated straight to Ian Malcolm yawning says it all.
@@richardrobbins387 -- The problem for me with Lost World was the cast. Aside from Ian, the cast was kinda lackluster. In the first one, you had a smaller cast, and everyone was interesting and fun to watch. Even the two kids had their own character and added something. But no one could really put their stamp on their character in the second film.
@@richardrobbins387 -- Also, i think it's the writing. In the first film, all the characters' action (for the most part) made sense. And when people did dumb things, it's because they didn't know better. But in Lost World, people are constantly doing dumb stuff when they SHOULD know better.
I always wanted a poster with the dino roaring at the city, with the broken "No Animals Beyond this Point" sign at his feet :)
"I mean, it's cool you feel that way, but... NO!" I laughed so hard, you're my brother from another mother for sure! 😂
-Pete Postlethwaite was Kobayashi in "The Usual Suspects".
-That Godzilla reference cracks me up EVERY time!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
-The CALLED Animal Control!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The reason we feel like family is because we are family. Damn right my man. Thanks for all the great entertainment.
I wish the conversation at 7:30 would have been something along these lines.
Peter Ludlow: “This suit cost more than your education.”
Dr. Ian Malcolm: “Your stupidity has never impressed me.” 😁
Puggle, you are so brave to take those steps. My heart goes out to you, sir. I hope your recovery goes well. ❤
Another great video. I definitely love this movie. The opening scene with the girl was from the first novel. It was only one of the little dinosaurs, though. All she had was a few bites and an allergic reaction. No damage, just a night in a hospital.
I have though, Ian staying calming, or at least not freaking out, when the rex had her in the tent was the right call. Last thing you'd want to do is startle her. If her behavior is anything like modern predators, chances are she'd have realized they were not a threat and left.
Puggle...I'm rooting for you and your loved ones. Times are tough and it takes strength to prevail. There is addiction history in my family so in some way I understand. Sending light and healing thoughts.😊💚
Baby-steps...every single baby-step towards progress counts!
“He look like he smell like Grizzly Long Cut Wintergreen”

Thoughts and Prayers to Puggle❤ I Love this Family always brings a smile to my day and a few giggles as well😊 Thanks for the time and effort put into these reactions❤❤❤
I disagree Vince Vaughn caused all of those deaths by stealing their bullets.
Right Roland would've killed the Rex and the partner woulda left prioritizing safety of the infant ending the attack/territory defense.
And the woman walking around with dino blood on her shirt wasn't smart either

When the two T- Rex`s pulled the Man apart...The look on your face was priceless.
Out of all the Jurassic Park movie deaths I've seen, that one dude that got ripped in half and eaten by the two t-rexes had to have been the absolute worst way to go. He didn't deserve it either.
"They wake up every day saying it's a beautiful day to be a menace." - LOL 🤣 56:45
Jurassic Park was not only a great film of it's time but it was a brilliant example of Chaos Theory (which is why Dr Ian Malcolm was a major character of the story). For those not familiar with Chaos Theory it is the famous belief in short "shit happens" because it can and will. If you tempt fate then you are basically asking for something to go wrong: we have an island with so called dinosaurs, security run by a single fat guy, the fat guy is going to steal the embryo's, there is a large storm approaching, the tour happens just as the storm is coming...these factors are basically ASKING for things to go wrong.
I love that you get spooked by a baby dinosaur callin its mommy hahaha
"God didn't make that.....THIS time!" Again, another famous quote that keeps me cracking up! Great choice of movies , fellas!
Hey Puglle stay strong, remember you have 40k+ pulling for you.
I love all three of the originals, only watched the first "new" one and never went back to the franchise. Also, no real hunter would trap, wound, and use as bait an infant animal. Only cowardly ass poachers would do that.
The look of purr terror on your face when Eddie died was legit.
Yup, that one scene was paying homage to Godzilla and all the giant monster films from Japan. By your look...you know which one.
"One thing im not doing is running in a straight line with y'all" why does no one in the movies ever think of that. they always just run right in the path of the danger. every time.
Your channel has helped me as well. And you're the only one I put $ on. I'm disabled and for the first time in my life I'm not able to work. It's hard for me to get around, so it's easy to get housebound and get lost in your head. I'm waiting for disability but in the meantime it's a struggle financially and medically, because I'm not allowed to drive or work due to mobility and other issues. So your channel has helped me be positive and don't get stuck in dark thoughts in the head. Thank you. And to the gentleman struggling to overcome addiction. You can do it. And you're being a good father, both to the four and two legged children,by leaving to stop your addiction. It's a big deal just taking that first step and admitting there's a problem. That's brave. So all that said, requests would be a feel good movie called "fly away home". On tv,watch newsroom. Esp the clip titled America's not the greatest country in the world anymore. It's soooo good.
I like this movie, too. That being said, I hate the part with the dog. I’m like, why’d they have to throw that in!? I’d rather Rex have gotten another human (yeah...that’s how I roll)!
*Shoutout to Puggle. Sending massive doses of positive energy out to you. You can do this. The road’s rough now, but it’ll smooth out and lead you back to your family, cat included (always).* ❤️👍

Dude, I love his take on the jurassic park movies. I just have to remember to pause the video before taking a drink or anything because i'll either choke laughing or it will end up on my desk and monitor.
The guy you kept asking what else you’ve seen him in is Pete Postlethwaite RIP He died in 2011 at 64 yrs old of pancreatic cancer. The main thing I know him from is “James and the Giant Peach” I always forget Julianne Moore and Vince Vaughn are in this until I see them on screen. There’s a lot of good actors in this. I love Peter Stormare. You said he’s in Fargo, I haven’t seen that one I need to. He’s in Armageddon, American Gods, Longmire, & The Blacklist tv shows which are all awesome, 22 Jump Street & tons of other stuff. The dude pops up everywhere.
The scene in "San Diego" where the T-Rex is going down the street and has the 304 address on the building was in Burbank. I know because I used to live 1/2 mile away from those malls.
There were other people to help the little girl, while Dieter was alone against the compies, so the girl could have very well survived, lol
The Grizzly long cut winter green comment had me cracking up, that was spot on.
