There is a extended version of this movie with extra scenes including a scene that introduces the hunter guy and it will show you more of his character
I’ve seen all 6 films, and I will say to this day, Eddie’s death is still the most brutal death out of the entire series. There are many that come close, the fact this guy was fighting for not just his life, but to keep trying to save his friends’ lives made it that more impactful! Eddie didn’t do anything wrong, he wasn’t a villain. He was a hero doing his job and he gets torn in half in the end! RIP Eddie! You were a true hero! 🫡
The raptors scene wasn’t random. After the big crew of guys rescue Dr. Malcom’s team, they talked about how they’re going to go to one of the abandoned compounds and radio for help. They also made mention that the main problem was going to be the raptors as their satellites have kept an eye on the dinosaurs and their territories. The raptors’ territory is right by the abandoned compound. So that long grass field was right by the compound; they would’ve had to have made their way into the raptors’ territory in order to get to the compound and radio for help. It’s just after dealing with a T-Rex, the main group of people were all just too eager to get out that they basically just said “Screw it let’s just go through the grass!” That’s actually how the bald hunter guy (Rolland)’s friend died. He was eaten by raptors.
Funny you ask of Ludlow was drunk during his presentation. A scene got cut and unfortunately lost that shows Ludlow drunk in celebration of their captures, and that he was the one who broke the infant’s leg. He meets up with Roland, stumbles, and fall on the baby rex, breaking its leg. There’s a screenshot of it you can find. And you can see his bottle of alcohol next to the infant. There was gonna be a scene showing how the T Rex boat fiasco went down, but it was cut presumably for the suspense and reveal. Dino supervisor for JP1 Phil Tippet auctioned off storyboards of it on ebay a while ago. The T Rex woke up while restrained. It’s heart monitor alerts a bulldozer operator and he and a forklift try to hold it down, but the forklift accidentally injures it, making it go crazy. It breaks free of its restraints (you can see the destroyed cage in the movie) and wreaks havoc before they manage to trap it in the cargo hold. Concept art also shows that there was supposed to be a big hole in the wheelhouse where that hand is, implying the rex smashed its head through and pulled the helmsman out, hence the hand that was probably hanging on for dear life. If the view was wider we might’ve seen the hole in the wall, but we don’t know if this was even filmed, so maybe they didn’t bother making it.
Fun bit of trivia: the civilian that gets eaten at the end is credited as “Unlucky Bastard”, and is actually the screen writer for the first two films, David Koepp.
There's also a cut scene in the beginning that shows much more depth to Roland's character. He punches out someone at a bar that was sexually harassing a waitress with one hand tied behind his back
Jeff Goldblum was on a talk show talking about making Jurassic Park 2. He said there was a moment when they lost control of the large T-Rex animatronic. For a few minutes the T-Rex was acting on its own. 😲😲
One of the reasons The Lost World didn't make as much as the first film, was there was so much competition in the summer of 1997. The Fifth Element, Anaconda, Speed 2, Contact, Face/Off, Air Force One, Batman & Robin, Con Air, Spawn, and of course the number one box-office hit that summer, Men In Black.
Fun Fact: The baby T-rex was an actual radio controlled animatronic prop with sound effects and everything made by Stan Winston studios, so that the actors would have an actual prop to interact with. And the young actress who played Kelly, her reaction of fear seeing the baby T-rex for the first time was genuine.. 🦖😱
37:37 the reason why the rexes came back is because Eddie unintentionally brought them back . Being very caring parents they heard sounds coming from the area were they got rid of the strange thing that had their baby in distress, so out of concern and curiosity that went back.
3:50 That’s Compsognathus, one of the smallest known dinosaurs. In the movie, they are depicted having a venomous bite that’ll make your limbs go numb.
Vince Vaughns character was so great in this movie. Especially when he tried to fight the Russian dude😂 also the guy that got eaten by the TRex in the middle of the street is the screenwriter David Koepp
@@SeeJaneGoTV OMG so many ideas probably nothing disney cause your kids likely willhave seen them that's huge stuff but lesser known stuff, like non-disney stuff from when i was a kid, Scruffy is based on a book based on the combined true stories of multiple stray dogs so a lot of sad moments peppered into a story that on the surface is pretty similar to lady & the tramp... depending on age & bravery, The Last Unicorn, it's basically about a unicorn wondering wherethe rest of herkind went searching the country for them however i'm NOT kidding about bravery when I was a kid the red bull scared me a lot and he wasn't the only one (this was from the 80s there was a curse word bleepedin the 25th anniversary edition dvd being 'damn', the only other thing is books a vulture looking thing had 3 & a tree had 2 but wow it's a great movie)
Adorable, but annoying. Made me so glade I'm never going to be a parent. She wouldn't stop talking and repeating herself, kept trying to touch the keyboard, and kept distracting them with nonsense, like putting random food in their mouths, and running around. And I'm like: Lock her in a room with a baby monitor camera, and separate bathroom. Snscks & toys as well. Set boundaries you two.
43:54 what they don’t tell you in these movies was that the Compies have small amounts of serotonin in their saliva, so the more they bite the more the live prey becomes lethargic and blissed out
The long-necks: the one from first film is called Brachiosaurus, not bron-ciosaurus, and the species in this one is called Mamenchisaurus. The crested duckbill is called Parasaurolophus. The little critters that swarmed and killed Dietrer are called Compsognathus, "Compy" for short. And the 'Pterodactyl' at the end: Pteranodon.
When I first saw Jurassic Park I had no clue what a Velociraptor was. Millions of people, including me, only know what it is BECAUSE of Jurassic Park. There would be no Toronto Raptors if it weren't for these movies.
There is a storyboarded scene which shows how the Rex woke up and escaped it's cage and massacred the crew of the ship, it was supposed to connect the Isla Sorna and San Diego scenes but Spielberg wanted it to be a mystery to the audience of what happened to the ship, but this has lead to wild theories that raptors were responsible when in fact it was just the Buck Rex. There is even a RUclips video that goes into the scenes I just mentioned, done by Klayton Fioriti, but I will admit it isn't 100% clear how the Rex killed everyone (You'd think you could hide below deck) but the official answer is the Rex.
That actually was a non-poisonous snake, but it looks very similar to one of the most poisonous snakes out there. That's why he was supposed to react like that.
You know what makes the Compy death even darker? the fact that each bite had a unique venom that paralyzes you kind like the dilophosaurus, meaning in his last moments of running, his body slowly but surely shut down and there was nothing he could do about it afterwards. This is explained in the novel as well... have fun reading that.
This is a guilty pleasure movie of mine. Not as good as the first with some stupid moments but the compys are creepy, the scene of the Raptors in tall grass and the truck hanging off the cliff are fantastically tense scenes and Roland Tembo is a great character
Many people don't like this Movie because of some unanswered moments, and I can see some of them but they do not bother me at all, and this Movie is my favorite Jurassic PARK movie.
First one is and will always be my favorite but I'm biased cause I was the right age at the right time and saw it in theaters opening weekend twice cause we were on vacation the following week lol. Lost world is my second favorite though, it's a close second
"Why don't they have military guys with them?" Did you not just see the scene where Hammond explains his team is "low impact" which means a few people and only staying on the outer rim of the island?
Elaine's boss! Yup, it's Mr. Pitt! And yeah, it's based (somewhat) on the Crichton sequel to the Jurassic Park novel. Glad you caught it's a second island, a lot of reviewers don't pay attention or catch that detail. The whole San Diego incident was created by Spielberg (not in the book). The random guy that the rex eats in San Diego by the video store is none other than David Koepp, the screenwriter of the film. As for the boat, there was a deleted scene (not filmed either I think) that raptors got onboard and ate the crew, and the rex killed them, but was still sort of trapped in the enclosure, or something like that. The S.S. Venture was also named after the similarly named boat in the 1933 King Kong film.
Whenever I read the book, I thought it mentioned that the toxin was very relaxing. Like Hammond was being eaten alive by the compies' and yet he was totally relaxed.
44:55 It's heavily implied that these small dinos have toxins in their saliva that paralyze their pray. If you look at the scene again it makes more sense why he fall and seem to panic as he lose control of his body. Also why the creatures attack in waves, then take steps back and wait, to give the toxins time to take effect.
37:48 Actually t rex can see really well, it's been proven it has better vision and besides "their vision based on movement" that only works only in movies
The ironic part of this movie is that the Nephew, and the people who were hunting, actually came to the island, more prepared. The only reason things went badly was because of our hero group. They released the dinosaurs, and made it so the main hunters gun didn't fire. The list goes on. The hunters were generally more prepared, than the so called experts in our hero group.
100% Once again, the actual "villain" is not a villain, but a person with a good plan, contigencies, and resources. What turns them into villains are SABOTEURS. Nedry and our Greenpeace group here interfered with good planning and people died. Take these catalysts out of the equation and you have successful Jurassic Parks opening in both movies: one Park in Isla Nublar and the other in San Diego( just like Disneyland and Disneyworld). .
Yes but on the other hand they were in the process of stripping the island of dinosaurs and transporting them to populated centers Not too mention Roland's prime motivation was to kill something that had not existed for 65 million years just for a challenge A creature we came to know was a parent
@@mckenzie.latham91ou could say that 66 million year old animal he was trying to kill had no right to exist in the modern era. Plus if Owen hadn’t taken the hunter’s bullets; he wouldn’t have used tranquilizers, therefore the San Diego incident would never have happened and the needless casualties that came along with it
Im gonna have to disagree with you sorta. Yes the "heroes" sabotaged the hunters camp but if Ludlow hadnt been drunk he wouldn't have broken the baby Rex's leg thereby preventing nick and sarah from setting it so the rexes might not.have tracked them as much if at all. Leaving the trailers intact and eddie alive and communication still operable
Another amazing reaction! nteresting fact: the way Stark is killed by the Compsognathus, “Compies”, is quite similar how an important character was slain in the original novel. I won’t spoil it in case you read the novel. It was the T-Rex who killed the ship’s crew; there was a deleted storyboard about it I believe. 🦖✌️💛❤️🖤
On the boat the T-Rex was in the cage on the deck. It got loose and killed the crew before going into the cargo hold. One crew member managed to close the doors before he died.
@@amber.ren_1995 Sorry I'm a bit late to the party but that is just a fan theory and is no where proven at all. It was the t-rex that killed everyone before one soul managed to trap it in the cargo hold and passed due to injuries. The t-rex is the only evidence we have for what killed the crew and anything else is merely made up or speculation from fans. As for the people that were ripped apart on the bridge... It's probably an oversight but still. Not knowing what happened is what makes it so great in my opinion.
Oh uh also just thought I’d mention that Sarah is a new character. She isn’t from the first movie. In fact she is canonically related to the doctor guy who was taking care of the triceratops from the first movie. Her last name is Harding. The doctor guy is referred to as Dr. Harding. There’s a telltale Jurassic park game that comes from the perspective of the said doctor Harding and during the events of that game you learn about what happens to the embryos that got buried with Nedrys death. That game is a really good watch if you guys got the time it’s also got one of the most horrific dinosaurs in the Jurassic park franchise. And what that is would surprise you.

Great reaction. Always thought it was dumb, that no one thought it was a bad idea to keep wearing a shirt, covered in T-Rex blood. Also ridiculous at how long they all held on in the trailer, especially Sarah. No way they could’ve hung on that long.
I always thought bald hunter guy knew but wanted a chance at the trex so didnt tell her to get ride of it. Everyone else traveling with them had no excuse but exhaustion and adrenaline crash
@@VelociraptorsOfSkyrim - wasn’t she wearing a green long sleeve shirt and another one underneath? She could have taken one off. Also, there were clothes hanging out to dry, in one scene. I haven’t watched the movie in years.
To comment on your earlier comment on the Pachycephalosaurus being caught, they can tranq them but with all reptiles, tranquilizers take time to work, a little longer than mammals.

If you thought this movie was scary, you should read the novels of this franchise, this movie really was and always will be the scariest film in the franchise, at least for me anyway mostly because of the scenes with the T Rex,especially the one where the big one was in the area where everyone was sleeping, that scene was ripe with tension, there are so many nail biting scenes with the T Rexes that it got me more terrified than with the Velociraptors in the first Jurassic Park
The bit that always gets me in this movie is the wildlife expert guy who ends up behind the waterfall gets scared by a non venomous milk snake and then gets eaten. Surely he should have known it was safer to play with the snake
@@WelshAmethystGirl087 That's not _quite_ accurate. It was a Milk Snake, which evolved to mimic the highly Venomous Coral Snake. The only difference in coloration between the two is that the Milk Snake has white stripes touching the red ones, while a Coral snake has _yellow_ stripes. When you're in a life or death situation, your brain isn't going to notice the relatively subtle difference and assume it's the Coral Snake.
I love how when I started watching them I knew her name was Jane simply from the channel name. The amount of times she shouts “JUSTIN” made me realize his name was Justin. Lol
Watching a movie with your wife: “we’re at work” oh what a time. Goals lol love y’all! Glad you’re watching this series. Number one is an iconic classic but I personally love all 3. JP3 is for some reason the most hated but my second favorite of the three original. Can’t wait 🙏🏽
Funny how caught up they got with the first scene. Saying “you can’t do that” Welp they certainly did and it’s not controversial at all. I don’t see it as “cheap” just reality, People are dying every second. Death dose not discriminate against age. It’ll take whomever it wish’s.
@@terogates1 oh I know, I’m autistic and have watched these movies over a hundred times. Just interesting to see how they reacted. Even suggesting that it’s the reason the move didn’t do well. 2:36 - 4:37 This opening scene was actually written in the first Jurassic Park book. Not everything from the first book made it into the first movie, and instead those parts were spread throughout the series of films. Anyways, the girl survives and her attack makes it into the newspapers, spreading tales of strange creatures on the islands / having escaped from the park islands onto the mainland. In the book, the creatures had learned to jump onto departing ferry boats at the docks (they recognised the shipping schedule), especially velociraptors (the animals were migrating) - which is how the crew of the ship carrying the male T-Rex were killed (58:36).
47:25 with that gun he had yes. If I remember right that's a 700 nitro Express that is a monster of a gun. It would probably take a few shots but that thing hitting the buck in the dome. I believe after a few rounds it would go right through his skull. That gun is the one that hunters used to take down elephants in like one shot maybe two.
12:49 that's such a great line "how many Sarah's do you think are on this island?" Lol Steven Spielberg got so many letters from moms that they wish he would've put the Stegosaurus in the movie its their children's favorite, so he made sure to get it in this one lol 1:02:47 roughly translated that Japanese guy is saying "i left Japan to get away from this shit!" Lol
The way that one guy gets killed by a bunch of those little dinosaurs (Compys) is actually how John Hammond (the old guy who created the park) dies in the first book. He falls down a hill, breaks his leg, and they swarm him. Their bites have venom that paralyze you so he couldn’t really run away. They decided to not to kill him in the first movie though.
At 24:00 there was a deleted scene where Ian Malcolm is worried that they are on the edge of unstable situation here called "Gambler's Ruin." A statistical phenomenon says everything in the world goes in streaks. Long story short, once things go bad, they tend to stay bad.
Here are some fun facts for this movie In a lost deleted scene/photo you can see who broke the Infant t.rex leg. It was Roland(the game hunter) or Ajay( his friend) it was Peter Ludlow( Hammond's nephew) after getting drunk from their success and falling unto him. Hence why the Infant t.rex had a grudge against him at the end of the Sandiego rampage. For who killed the Crew on the ship? In earler scripts raptors stowawayed on the ship and in some concept art the Buck( male T.rex) made a whole in the helm quaters The ship's name is a reference to the ship that transported the Original King Kong. Ingen's board of Directors were becoming desperate since the failure of Jurassic Park was leading them to bankruptcy so Peter had the idea to try again on a smaller scale withe the famous speci along with multiple locations.
Just so you guy's know, Captain Picard was played by Sir Patrick Stewart while Roland the Hunter in this film is played by Peter Postlethwaite who sadly died in 2011.
Theres a place in CA up in Humboldt County where i use to live where you can actually walk through the woods where some of this movie was made. Ive been in the exact spot where the stegosaurs walked through the creek area.
Its explained in the book (which the film differs from wildly) that the "Five Deaths" name comes from the folklore of the natives of the region. A hero angered the gods, and was sentenced to 5 separate deaths. And in the book, there are in fact 5 deaths. Levine's guide Deigo, Eddie, and the 3 Biosyn employees sent to steal eggs.
Don't know if anybody mentioned it already, but those little dinos that swarmed the guy and bit his lip, those are Compys. As you said, they're also featured in Camp Cretaceous. Well prior to that series, there was a fact about Compys that most weren't aware of unless you read the books, and that's that they are venomous. That's why he was struggling to stay on his feet as they kept stalking him. Considering how many of them were repeatedly biting him, he was probably going through Hell internally trying to run.
The way the crew of the SS Venture died was actually by the male Rex. The Rex broke out of the cage thing, killed most of the crew, and was led down into the cargo hold by the last fully surviving crew member, while the dying act of another was to hit the button to close the Buck in. The film never showed the port side of the wheelhouse, which is where the Rex busted through. Unrelated fact: I built the RVs from this movie out of Lego. I’m on my 6th version, but I’m mostly happy with the result.
For the Dinosaurs that were present in the movie hre is some aid to help out. Compsognatus( Comp-sog-gnat or nate-thus) or Compys ( the little green ones) Stegosaurus Parasaurolophus (Para-saur-rolo-phus) has the long bony crest Pachycepholasaurus( Pachy-ceph-fula-saurus) has the battering ram for a forehead Gallimimus(Gally-My-mus) the ones that look like ostriches Mamenchisaurus(Mam-men-chi-saurus) the sauropod( long neck) that Jane mistacked for a Brachiosaurus Tyrannosaurus Rex ( you met Buck, Doe and Junior, the thrannosaur family) Velociraptor( Tiger striped variant) Triceratops
To answer what killed the ship’s crew, it was raptors. Although that’s only confirmed through deeper lore from other forms of Jurassic Park media. I’m not entire 100% sure, but I know there’s an official Jurassic Park/World website that has hidden in-lore canon files that expand more about what happens in the Jurassic Park series. I believe in one of the files (or perhaps one of the comics) it is revealed that raptors were onboard the ship and slaughtered the whole crew. However I can’t remember what happened to the raptors afterwards. They may have just jumped off the boat or something.
The only thing that I wonder about, is how did the boat stay the course if the crew was mostly dead before they arrived. Costa rica to san diego isn't that far, but still far enough for random waves and currents to veer the ship of course. And the raptors wouldn't knowingly go where the trex is, cuz they'd be able to smell it.
There's deleted scenes that only can be found on old Fox Channel when they still using VHS. I remember watching that scene in my country where its not deleted but part of the movie, its free air Channel that i watch back in college days That scene happened like this - They caught T-rex and raptor and put it in cargo ship. - one of the crew is dumb enough going to see both raptor and T-rex. - T-rex is still sleepy but not raptor. - that crew then using electric torture on raptor - T-rex open her eyes and used her tail to push him toward raptor - raptor bite crew hand but crew still manage to escape - so he try to escape to top deck - that raptor manage to escape and follow him - one of the crew got kick by raptor and fell into sea - one of the crew use shotgun but he missed and shot at some mechanical thing that open that T-rex's hatch - pilot ship also got attacked raptor but his hand still attached to ship's steering - and then the shooter manage to shot raptor but T-Rex trying to break that hatch and the crew try to close but failed, he got eaten by T-rex while he using his own hand (i don't remember this Part much but maybe that raptor still in his Last breath pushing that crew to T-rex)
@@boboboy8189since you’re literally the only person I’ve ever seen say this, I’m gonna go ahead and say that’s not true and you’re either making it up or misremembering. Storyboards show it was just the rex, while others claim there was a deleted scene that doesn’t exist anywhere that had raptors sneaking onboard. But since the scene doesn’t exist, gotta go by the storyboard which was just the Rex getting loose and doing it
@@TheJerseyNinja its not just me, you can see there's a few people saying same thing. At first i thought i just dream until there's comment in forum said they watched it too. You can Google it. I remember watching that deleted scene on TV9 in my country Malaysia. The one Who killing the crew is raptor. At that time i didn't know they include deleted scene on aired Its all started when one of the crew going inside the ship where sedated t-tex and raptor held. One of the crew torturing raptor but got bit and he open the raptor cage then got chased, he open the hatch while running to hanger area, he got killed and raptor escape. One of the crew were killed and another were pushed into the sea. Captain or one of the crew use shotgun but hit a button that open the T-Rex hatch, he then try to stop the hatch from open but his hand got eaten, but he manage to make the hatch half open and he try to go to ship steering and that raptor push him to speed control thus making the ship going full throttle to dock That ship maybe got 5 or 6 crew i already forgot. When i rewatch the remastered version, i never found those scene again and i try to find deleted scene in Internet but failed. My country only started to use digital in 2016 which means the vhs version obviously got rid from tv station now. I don't care what people are saying because for me, i one of the Lucky person Who saw that entire deleted scene on tv back in 2009
Personally I think the idea to make kids immune from danger is stupid. When there's a kid in a scary movie, you know they won't die, so it takes away a lot of suspense. If a kid dies, it keeps you on the edge of your seat because then no one is safe
18:00 Fun fact... that inside of the trailers scene was all added later to build up the relations of the characters more. Yeah there were actual beds in that command center so why Kelly would sleep on the floor I don't understand either lol. Maybe it would feel a bit too claustrophobic.
Something not mentioned in the movie is that the small dinos that attack the small girl and later the man are Venomous. It is however explained in the novels by Michael Creighton
To put the 1 billion box office for the first movie into context. The average movie ticket price was around 6 bucks in 93. It's 15-20 today so for a movie today to beat it they'd have to make over 2 billion.
The Rex somehow got out, killed the crew, for some reason went back down into the cargo hold and one of the sailors who was only mostly dead with his last breath managed to press the button to lock it back in (some unseen, unsung Eddie Carr level of heroism right there). Yeah, it's convoluted and extremely unlikely, but not categorically impossible.
The boat deaths aren’t explained very well so it’s confusing. But the T-Rex does get out on a rampage through the ship. They tranquilize it to get it back in the hold but they were already near death. That’s why the cold dead hand was wrapped around the control. He was able to shut it just before dying. What they don’t show is that half of the Helm is gone from the T-Rex breaking into it.
1:03:01 Well, as far as I have heard, the dude (the "actor") the rex ate was one of the writers of the movie. Meaning that if you think about it, he kind of caused all of this
I actually like the theory of the the pterodons(spelling?) in the fog surrounding the island and them picking off the boat crew as they were already on their way. Raptors doesn't make too much sense to me since they would have to have jumped ship and the Rex was incapacitated.
Loved TLW as a kid- as an adult only 3 issues with the movie that I can look past but still kinda make me roll my eyes: 1. The amount of times they fail at climbing the rope without falling🤨(cheap way to generate tension) 2. The Gymnast Kill 🙄(100% fantasy lol) 3. Sarah still wearing the jacket with the baby rex's blood on it while supposedly knowing how to live amongst predators... like wtf lol
I liked this movie, it was fun and yes that plot hole about how people died on the ship is annoying but I looked it up and there are some explainations that make some sense, but it easily could have been put in the movie though. Another thought I wonder if its impossible for Jane to not say Justin's name in a movie reaction, that would be an interesting bet to see if she couldn't. 🤔😂🤔
You realize the Malcolm's girlfriend is the animal expert, right?😅 22:10 that guy has been in a lot of movies, but the one I remember him most besides, this one is James and the giant peach 25:05 you forgot mastodon 28:29 dude, that ain't no yell… That is a roar😎 40:08 that is not the guy who is Captain Picard as well as Professor Xavier believe me that's a different one😂 41:23 her hands would be injured from the broken glass, but definitely not her jacket. It's definitely from the T-Rex baby blood. 43:42 the thing about compsognathus is they're only scavengers that there's not a lot of food, but they will hunt as a pack if there's any creatures that are either injured or small enough for them to gang up on... say a jerk human that tried to zap them 44:58 the guy is injured, weak, and frightened… Any predator knows to strike when the prey is injured 48:36 punch him in the nose… Dude, if you go anywhere near that things mouth you are done😅 48:53 I think these T-Rex's don't care if you don't move, they might have better eye vision, and have a good sense of smell 52:46 kick him???? you guys are giving some bad advice. These creatures know when an animal tries to defend them self all they gotta do is get one hold on you with their teeth and you're done.😅 sorry to say, but the predators in these movies are a little bit smarter than you think. A lot smarter than sharks or bears. And yeah, sure it worked in the first movie because it didn't have enough maneuver to go around and it was hanging from the ceiling which gave Alan Grant an advantage… Plus there was a kid on top of its head, so added weight 59:39 😅 did that kid just say what I thought she just said😂 Never mind 1:02:48 this part gets me because it's supposed to be a reminiscent of Godzilla movies😂 1:06:10 just like what I said in the first movie the fact that all of these dinosaurs were in kids books as well as in museums as fossils everyone wants to see every single dinosaur out there… But you are definitely right they should not have bred the Pterodons.
I have mixed feelings about The Lost World Jurassic Park, the dinosaurs were brilliant along with the soundtrack and intense scenes but I felt that most of the human characters were either forgetful or not thay interesting, however I did enjoy Ian and Roland's character the best in this film. So basically I love the film, but not one of my top favourites! Great reaction and I'm cannot wait for your reaction to Jurassic Park 3!
I read the books, and I think the t rex tongue scene thing by the waterfall is inspired by one of the events in the books, which is far more disturbing haha

"How many SARAH'S do you think are on this island???" 🤣
Once again, I'm convinced that Jeff Goldblum is not an actor. He's Jeff Goldblum caught on camera in his natural habitat
There's also a cut scene in the beginning that shows much more depth to Roland's character. He punches out someone at a bar that was sexually harassing a waitress with one hand tied behind his back
I didn’t get that joke as a kid but now I die of laughter EVERYTIME 😂

One of the reasons The Lost World didn't make as much as the first film, was there was so much competition in the summer of 1997. The Fifth Element, Anaconda, Speed 2, Contact, Face/Off, Air Force One, Batman & Robin, Con Air, Spawn, and of course the number one box-office hit that summer, Men In Black.
Don’t forget that Titanic came out later that year.
@@chauser400 Yeah, it came out that December.
Adorable how their reactions calmed somewhat after the daughter came in.😊
37:37 the reason why the rexes came back is because Eddie unintentionally brought them back .
Being very caring parents they heard sounds coming from the area were they got rid of the strange thing that had their baby in distress, so out of concern and curiosity that went back.
Also the Ingen paleontologist made mention that bringing the infant to that area changed the rex's 'perceived' territory and defend it.
3:50 That’s Compsognathus, one of the smallest known dinosaurs. In the movie, they are depicted having a venomous bite that’ll make your limbs go numb.

I love that you 2 are freaking out but your little girl was laughing! 😂😂😂❤❤❤

"Why don't they have military guys with them?"
Did you not just see the scene where Hammond explains his team is "low impact" which means a few people and only staying on the outer rim of the island?
Fun trivia, Jurassic’s compies’ bite is mildly venomous, and their venom makes their victims sleepy.
There is no evidence for this. Nonfactual statement.
Their venom is also a narcotic
Thank you! I was about to mention the same thing
Omg okay now it make sense why he was starting to stumble and trip
Whenever I read the book, I thought it mentioned that the toxin was very relaxing. Like Hammond was being eaten alive by the compies' and yet he was totally relaxed.
44:55
It's heavily implied that these small dinos have toxins in their saliva that paralyze their pray.
If you look at the scene again it makes more sense why he fall and seem to panic as he lose control of his body.
Also why the creatures attack in waves, then take steps back and wait, to give the toxins time to take effect.

Take these catalysts out of the equation and you have successful Jurassic Parks opening in both movies: one Park in Isla Nublar and the other in San Diego( just like Disneyland and Disneyworld). .
Yes but on the other hand they were in the process of stripping the island of dinosaurs and transporting them to populated centers

Another amazing reaction! nteresting fact: the way Stark is killed by the Compsognathus, “Compies”, is quite similar how an important character was slain in the original novel. On the boat the T-Rex was in the cage on the deck. It got loose and killed the crew before going into the cargo hold. One crew member managed to close the doors before he died.
Wait what everyone says that it was the raptors that got on it killed the majority of the crew or all of them and hopped off before they set off.
Harding.

Damn I wish I wasn't walkin to the post office rn, i would watch. I gotta take a seat though 😂

1:02:47 roughly translated that Japanese guy is saying "i left Japan to get away from this shit!" Lol
Malcom and his team are the villains when you think of it every death in the movie happaned because of them
Here are some fun facts for this movie
In a lost deleted scene/photo you can see who broke the Infant t.rex leg.
In earler scripts raptors stowawayed on the ship and in some concept art the Buck( male T.rex) made a whole in the helm quaters
The ship's name is a reference to the ship that transported the Original King Kong.
Bonus fact: The SS Venture was a reference to the original King Kong, I believe.

T Rex thew and ate them. Then the Rex wandered into the cargo hold. The guard died closing the door.
I remember watching that scene in my country where its not deleted but part of the movie, its free air Channel that i watch back in college days
That scene happened like this
- They caught T-rex and raptor and put it in cargo ship.
- one of the crew is dumb enough going to see both raptor and T-rex.
- T-rex is still sleepy but not raptor.
- that crew then using electric torture on raptor
- T-rex open her eyes and used her tail to push him toward raptor
- raptor bite crew hand but crew still manage to escape
- so he try to escape to top deck
- that raptor manage to escape and follow him
- one of the crew got kick by raptor and fell into sea
- one of the crew use shotgun but he missed and shot at some mechanical thing that open that T-rex's hatch
- pilot ship also got attacked raptor but his hand still attached to ship's steering
- and then the shooter manage to shot raptor but T-Rex trying to break that hatch and the crew try to close but failed, he got eaten by T-rex while he using his own hand (i don't remember this Part much but maybe that raptor still in his Last breath pushing that crew to T-rex)
@@boboboy8189since you’re literally the only person I’ve ever seen say this, I’m gonna go ahead and say that’s not true and you’re either making it up or misremembering. Its all started when one of the crew going inside the ship where sedated t-tex and raptor held. One of the crew torturing raptor but got bit and he open the raptor cage then got chased, he open the hatch while running to hanger area, he got killed and raptor escape. One of the crew were killed and another were pushed into the sea. Captain or one of the crew use shotgun but hit a button that open the T-Rex hatch, he then try to stop the hatch from open but his hand got eaten, but he manage to make the hatch half open and he try to go to ship steering and that raptor push him to speed control thus making the ship going full throttle to dock

My country only started to use digital in 2016 which means the vhs version obviously got rid from tv station now. To put the 1 billion box office for the first movie into context. The average movie ticket price was around 6 bucks in 93. It's 15-20 today so for a movie today to beat it they'd have to make over 2 billion.
The kid didn’t die Hammond says that when he tells Malcom about the mission , it might be in a different cut of the movie or a deleted scene,
The Rex somehow got out, killed the crew, for some reason went back down into the cargo hold and one of the sailors who was only mostly dead with his last breath managed to press the button to lock it back in (some unseen, unsung Eddie Carr level of heroism right there).

Well, as far as I have heard, the dude (the "actor") the rex ate was one of the writers of the movie. Meaning that if you think about it, he kind of caused all of this
Nothing extinct here, just pure dino-might!
That was a Harmless Milk snake too. That poor snake didn't deserve to be eaten 🤣
*T-rex eats dog*
Me: alright boys let’s put some honesty in the term “fossil fuel”
Ludlow is Hammonds nephew not the kids parents thankfully.
This installment is my personal favorite JP movie of the franchise.
"Throw your sandwich down bro!"
Oh my goodness 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah, the question and debate over what actually killed the boat crew has been going on for years. Lol
I actually like the theory of the the pterodons(spelling?) in the fog surrounding the island and them picking off the boat crew as they were already on their way. Raptors doesn't make too much sense to me since they would have to have jumped ship and the Rex was incapacitated.
IIRC there was a scene on the cutting room floor of some raptors that got on the boat before it left the island and ended up killing all the crew.
Loved TLW as a kid- as an adult only 3 issues with the movie that I can look past but still kinda make me roll my eyes:
1. The amount of times they fail at climbing the rope without falling🤨(cheap way to generate tension)
2. The Gymnast Kill 🙄(100% fantasy lol)
3. Sarah still wearing the jacket with the baby rex's blood on it while supposedly knowing how to live amongst predators... like wtf lol
12:12 truest statement of the whole damn thing 🎞️ 🎦
there are definitely things im seeing more now as an adult watching this
this is my favorite jurassic movie out of all 6 films
I liked this movie, it was fun and yes that plot hole about how people died on the ship is annoying but I looked it up and there are some explainations that make some sense, but it easily could have been put in the movie though. Another thought I wonder if its impossible for Jane to not say Justin's name in a movie reaction, that would be an interesting bet to see if she couldn't. 🤔😂🤔
A try not to "JUSTIN!!!!" challenge. Lol.
@@fireeaglefitnessmartialart935 Hahaha! Exactly, but I don't think she could do it though 😂
You realize the Malcolm's girlfriend is the animal expert, right?😅
22:10 that guy has been in a lot of movies, but the one I remember him most besides, this one is James and the giant peach
25:05 you forgot mastodon
28:29 dude, that ain't no yell… That is a roar😎
40:08 that is not the guy who is Captain Picard as well as Professor Xavier believe me that's a different one😂
41:23 her hands would be injured from the broken glass, but definitely not her jacket. It's definitely from the T-Rex baby blood.
43:42 the thing about compsognathus is they're only scavengers that there's not a lot of food, but they will hunt as a pack if there's any creatures that are either injured or small enough for them to gang up on... say a jerk human that tried to zap them
44:58 the guy is injured, weak, and frightened… Any predator knows to strike when the prey is injured
48:36 punch him in the nose… Dude, if you go anywhere near that things mouth you are done😅
48:53 I think these T-Rex's don't care if you don't move, they might have better eye vision, and have a good sense of smell
52:46 kick him???? you guys are giving some bad advice. These creatures know when an animal tries to defend them self all they gotta do is get one hold on you with their teeth and you're done.😅 sorry to say, but the predators in these movies are a little bit smarter than you think. A lot smarter than sharks or bears.
And yeah, sure it worked in the first movie because it didn't have enough maneuver to go around and it was hanging from the ceiling which gave Alan Grant an advantage… Plus there was a kid on top of its head, so added weight
59:39 😅 did that kid just say what I thought she just said😂
Never mind
1:02:48 this part gets me because it's supposed to be a reminiscent of Godzilla movies😂
1:06:10 just like what I said in the first movie the fact that all of these dinosaurs were in kids books as well as in museums as fossils everyone wants to see every single dinosaur out there… But you are definitely right they should not have bred the Pterodons.
It's really fun pausing it at scary times just to see the facial reactions
If you lived in a world where the Jurassic Park franchise didn't exist...do you reckon you'd still know what a Velociraptor is? 🤔
Eddie shouldn't have died. He was the best character in the movie in my opinion.
"Ninja kick the damn Raptor!" 52:40 👀
-Michelangelo, I pray some day you will see the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie 🍕🐢🐢🐢🐢
I read the books, and I think the t rex tongue scene thing by the waterfall is inspired by one of the events in the books, which is far more disturbing haha
