I only listen to songs from the 60's to 90's not only because they remind me of when I was young, but the music is actually music with talented artists. ❤

I am 57 yrs old and sometimes I think I get too wrapped up in the music from the 70's and 80's that it is unhealthy. These songs just bring back so many wonderful memories that it puts me in a sad place that I know I shouldn't be. I adore this song and many others from the era that just bring back wonderful times that will never happen again. It is said often in these threads but if I had a time machine I would go back.
Its OK. I'm 65. These are the songs of my youth. Its bittersweet. Getting old is tough....normal, but we are wiser now and may wish we'd been so back then. It's the circle of life. Enjoy the music!!!😊❤
We had MUSIC back then that today's so called music cannot compare too. I am so happy I grew up back then because YES the memories are great and life was great back then.
Man, these days are never going to be repeated again. This music is so good and so smooth. I am glad to have grown up in this generation. Wonderful to hear it again.
'Smooth', I never thought of it that way but that sums it up well in just one word. A lot of the music of the 70s flowed, it was smooth, it was like riding a wave, evoked emotion and it took you somewhere.
I know it's a generational thing, but the song writing and music from the 70s and 80s is truly the most memorable! It came with real emotion, and provoked real emotion in the listener.
Too sad for me personally. Yes, it's very moving, but it's a very sad melody about seeing someone you love and spent years with, but you can never be with them again - ever. Yes, you go crazy inside but not in a good way. The song makes me depressed, as do many of the late 70s songs like this. I much prefer the more upbeat songs from the 60s and early 70s as well as 1980s New Wave. Stuff that doesn't make me depressed when I listen to it. Just my 2 cents
I’m 61 & for some reason I’m listening to all these beautiful songs that are bringing back so many emotions & memories…The tears are just coming down non stop!!! 😢😭
I believe that music like this is timeless ❤️ and it should be shared... the current generation will have these emotions but, I doubt that new composers will be able to express these emotions.

I dated a sweet girl from my hometown of Michigan City, Indiana back in the summer of 1983. She had the most beautiful green eyes. When I think back, I still go crazy✨. Beautiful song Paul Davis.🙏 KGS🇺🇸

I had the honor of meeting Paul in Nashville in 1987. I was nobody but he took the time to talk to me for about 15 minutes. What a warm, humble and friendly man! He spoke with a soft, down home southern accent but sang like this, Wow! Paul, I will go on enjoying listening to you sing as long as I live. RIP brother, until I see you again.
My neighbor use to play this song along with Glen Campbell and Andy Williams music every Saturday evening when I was 8 or 9 years old ...I'm 61 and still act the fool to 65' Love Affair... rip Paul from Trinidad,W.I.

It's so true.... I was 12 in 1977 and in the 7th grade. I was in love with this girl "Stacey" in Junior High. I played this song over and over.... The 70's were the best times in my life; I loved being a kid then :-)
TheJazzyjeff333 Hey, Jeff, I was 12 and in 7th grade too. When I Go Crazy played on the local radio station, I kept listening before and after to get the name of the singer so I could spend 99 cents to buy the 45 record. Well, nimrod that I was, I kept hearing the DJ's name from the station and thought it was the singer's name. Couldn't find it...Finally, after several weeks, Paul Davis's name was mentioned. I think I still have the 45. :)
Oh yes the eyes of your love are something that you do in fact get a type of crazy as it should be there is a very enjoyable experience for the person who is got those eyes close and if you have never looked into your loves eyes and jjust get lost in a very deep way .You want to be in a couch or whatever it is that you are relaxed and facing each other. I have done this for long periods of time usually after we have went crazy so we are not as evicted. You may find this to be almost hypnotic or trance inducing, That is the goal it takes a good relaxing effort and the way you can loose yourself in the eyes of your love is very calming and uplifting. You may experience deep relaxation and as you both cherish the silent time to be close to each other in a new way. If you get lost in the eyes of your love you will feel as if your using a ability to look at the eyes or at this point I will call it gazing into the window of the soul and I hope your into all that. If not you may be if you can take it to the point where your eyes loose some focus and you will know what I'm talking about normally one will notice something and say that they just hit a mild cognitive impairment of the eyes and they will be anxious to get back to it. Don't give up on it. If you are calm and patient people, you should enjoy this if your not already doing it. It will become as important as other valued alone time.
The older I get the more I appreciate the music of the 60s and 70s and thank my parents for showing me what good music is. It's sad what is considered music these days!
We talk about the 70's and 80's music. And that was a great time to live and grow up .But let's not forget the 50's and 60's. That's when it came together. I'm 73 and how I miss those days.
I grew up in the 60’s. Love the music and how it can take you back in the blink of an eye. I am a baby boomer husband passed away and it is me and Molly my German Shepherd. So thankful for the music!!!
I am 57, almost 58yrs. Young. And I STILL GO CRAZY, when I hear these older songs!! Aww the days of youth! I am still very young. Just not like that!! Yay!! This is a gooone for sure!
I had the pleasure of playing golf with Paul several times in the early '80s when he lived at Willow Springs Country Club in Alpharetta, GA. He was a very gentle guy, humble, and a warm personality........never forgot those times or his music. Died way too young.
What a voice Paul Davis has. Man I love this song... Never gets old, even after all these years. Never to be duplicated, the magic of these old tunes. Gifts from heaven. How do they come up with these melodies?
Every song is a story & it's probably a story of a girl that Paul had at one time, but like I said every song has a story of pain guilt passion love hurt etc etc, but it was a beautiful song yes. R.I.P. PAUL YOU ARE TRULY MISSED.
I’m 55 years old and this hits different and deep. It was when music was amazing and beautiful. The 70s and 80s were the best times for music. No questions about it! ❤😅❤️🙏🏽
married the most loving girl god has ever put on this Earth, she was 16 I was 17. Lost her at 46 yrs. old. 30 yrs. non-stop love making. Cry every time I hear this.. God bless you Linda.....
Man dude..I cried inside- I lost my son and any old song like this stirs things in my heart..may Linda - which means Beautiful in Spanish - Rest In Paradise..sorry for your lost my friend
I was born in 1959. We grew up in a very special time, and our music takes us back. So many of us are gone from those days but we still have the songs and the memories. 🎶 🎵 🎸
I know this is strange, but this song brings back so many emotions and feelings. I was in junior high when this song was popular (1977) and I remember laying in my room, listening to my little 9v transistor radio, and day-dreaming about this girl I had a crush on. Oh the pains of the heart in our youth. Love the nostalgia this song brings.
Oh, goodness! I have shed buckets of tears to this song! Beautiful lyrics and voice. I love this song even though it still makes me want to cry my eyes out. Takes me back……
There are still people singing positive folk songs out there. You just have to seek them out. And yeah I grew up in the 70's... musically it was a great time. :)
Something about this guy... he sings deep from the heart. Songs that make me teary-eyed. Just beautiful. Fighting the tears now. Songs like this are not written and sung anymore.
Anthony B I don't even try to stop the tears anymore when I hear this. Those " beaux yeux' " ( beautiful eyes). I might be French. but my heart never has a problem translating this, and it never will.
Yea I hear you but the break down of family started in the 70s and got alot worse Thank God I was just on the surface of it I was 8 years old when this was played and I loved it then...I was also spanked when I did wrong and paraded when I did right. But now that is being lost no accountability in our government or anything else God forbid Lord help us before its too late!!!
One of my all-time favorites. this is on my top 150 list, which is a no particular order! That piano and guitar really sing to me and I'm sorry to hear that we lost Paul Davis about 16 years ago. He had such passion.
What a voice. Smooth as honey. I am 83 now. I was a young woman when this song would play on the radio. It was just a nice easy listening song to me back then. Only now do I realize and fully appreciate this remarkable singer. I often visit these videos of his songs. He was grossly underrated during his career.
I am 74 yrs old, and this was the best music ever!! I lost my husband of 36 yrs almost 9 yrs ago, and I still cry when I hear this music, it had so much meaning, and it still does after all these years😢 Just listened to "These Eyes" by Guess Who. Another tear jersey! God Bless all of you that still listen to these awesome songs, it sure takes you back in time❤
i thank you tube for allowing us to view videos that we never had the opportunity before, all those great songs we visualized for years can now be easily viewed and recreate memories, thanks yo tube
I don't know how to Express my feelings when I can hear this beautiful and memorable music. It is a great gift for me and all the people who have the opportunity for enjoying the wonders of this music.
Man, he sure didn't look like the voice behind the music but that's the magic of humanity. Sometimes people don't look anything like you imagine they will from their voice. This has always been one of the top songs I've remembered all through my life. I'm well on my way to being an old man now but I remember when Paul came out with this tune and it's one of those songs that has stood the test of time. It's been a strange ride - take care of yourselves :)
I was thinking the same thing. It was confusing at first. The voice didnt match the image.. that being said, this is a song i learned while at work and loved it
Beautiful then, and still beautiful now, 55 years later. Thank you for uploading, and David, thank you for the beauty. And Rick, you are sorely missed. God bless you wherever you are
Pure talent without autotune, I honestly miss the 70's big time. I was born in 1960 and keep getting drawn back to this era and the hard rock era all the time. To me it was just a great time to grow up. The music now only has a choice few talented artists and groups but it seems like there isn't the same amount as when I grew up.
Sweet, romantic lyrics. No profanity. Beautiful melody. It’s amazing how music has deteriorated since the 70s and 80s. Born in 1960 and so grateful for having grown up in this era.
I miss soft rock from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. I never could figure out how this song style became extinct. Except for an occasional gem here or there, the last 40 years have been an abysmal wasteland.
I grew up in the 70s and 80s. Paul Davis was the main songwriter, singer I absolutely loved to listen to back then and now! The world seemed so much simpler then and wonderful and carefree.
Guys I need say something about it for Claudia... she does by cancer 😔

Maravilhoso, obrigado por mostrar essa música de paul Davis gostaria de ouvir outras dele? Sou brasileira e amo as músicas, só conheço duas
One of the most heartfelt and beautiful songs ever written and sung. Simply beautiful.
One of the most beautiful ballads ever heard

Beautiful man
This was a monster hit in the late 70s. It continued in heavy rotation thru the early 80s til his next monster hit, Cool Nights.
True!
This song breaks my heart.... a love lost.
I’m 55 years old and this hits different and deep. It was when music was amazing and beautiful. The 70s and 80s were the best times for music. No questions about it! ❤😅❤️🙏🏽
I'm in love with this song .. RIP Paul keeps singing in heaven brother !!
Such strong emotion , not just in the song, but written on his face, I love this song.
Everything is perfect.

That is a beautiful song that touches every heart that’s ever been broken.
Paul Davis - such a gentle and romantic voice - beautiful song ......
Absolutely goddamn right
Such sweet innocent memories!
Yes, he strikes me as someone with a beautiful soul.
He describes perfectly how I still feel about someone in my past. The lyrics are magnificent and heartbreaking 💔
What a voice, his music, can’t believe I am listening and enjoying this in 2024.

Wow, does that bring back memories, or what? Beautiful. Gosh, may he rest in peace.
1970s...we were blessed with beautiful soulful music, no histrionics necessary ❤
Still after all of these years, Mr Paul Davis, I still go crazy, what a beautiful song
Oh, goodness! I have shed buckets of tears to this song! Beautiful lyrics and voice. I love this song even though it still makes me want to cry my eyes out. Takes me back……
Hello how are you? So sorry for the infringe on your privacy. Beautiful song
I'm 61 and I sure miss those days. Man, I miss my folks.
I am 54 years old and IMO this is the Greatest Love Song ever written.
I wish the music of my generation had men that sung about women like this. Makes me wish I was born in the 70s.
There are still people singing positive folk songs out there. You just have to seek them out. And yeah I grew up in the 70's... musically it was a great time. :)
If you were to meet a guy like me with an older soul then you will be ok. Amber look me up on FB.
You would say the same if we're born in the 70s. Right now there a lot of beautiful songs.
Amber, my 12 year old grand daughter says the same thing.
that wont happen amber theres just to much hate just enjoy paul davis
Something about this guy... he sings deep from the heart. Songs that make me teary-eyed. Just beautiful. Fighting the tears now. Songs like this are not written and sung anymore.
I know exactly what you're talking about.
Anthony B
I don't even try to stop the tears anymore when I hear this. Those " beaux yeux' " ( beautiful eyes). I might be French. but my heart never has a problem translating this, and it never will.
Anthony - Yes this song is universally wonderful and heartfelt. It is certainly Hallmark Card material!
Anthony B agree!
Anthony B agree
Loved this song. Beautiful and simple. Paul Davis looked like a Viking. ❤
What a very beautiful song! Everyone has been at this point in life, and Paul writes it so wonderfully! R.I.P. Paul
Hello Jeannie how are you doing today???
@@GeorgeCampbell-sz1wu do I know you?
I can feel, smell, breathe, remember the moments of that song.
BOB THE BUILDER CAN WE FIX IT
My boyfriend then too. It’s all right back.
Me too 😥
BOB THE BUILDER CAN WE FIX IT , most of us can!
This song is sad & so Beautiful at the same time, Everytime I hear it, My tears roll, The best music ever!
Sad to think the current generation of teenagers and young adults aren’t hearing this kind of music that really speaks to the listener.
The live of my life walked away from me forever in 1977 and it seemed this song was on the radio all day long. Couldn’t stop crying.
I am very sorry. I know how you feel. Please read my story. I wish you well.
It WAS on 24/7. What pain you had. Young love is so hard.
Mine too
If I could go back to the 70s again I would. 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. Best music of all
So beautifully I'm 82 but remember this song
Great
What a voice. Smooth as honey. I am 83 now. I was a young woman when this song would play on the radio. It was just a nice easy listening song to me back then. Only now do I realize and fully appreciate this remarkable singer. I often visit these videos of his songs. He was grossly underrated during his career.
His eyes means a lot. The song is just so....beautiful. I listened to this song over and over.
Yes. I've just discovered Paul Davis and searching all his performances in concert singing this song.
How can you NOT love this one! Warm summer nights, feeling free and not a care in the world....where did those days go?
Summer 🌞 Breeze ⛵- Seals and Crofts
This man's voice is so beautiful and pure❤this music from the 70s is so iconic..brings back wonderful memories..age 58
Gosh this brings back so many memories of my awesome younger days. If possible I'd go back to the 80's in a new york minute!
Some songs never get old and so many are from the 70's...Paul Davis had a soothing, soft voice, very special 🎶💖👍
Eu adoro ouvir paul Davis
Great music! I wish they still had bands like this today.
He had such a voice! RIP, great singer. God bless your soul for ever!!
God Bless all of you that still listen to these awesome songs, it sure takes you back in time❤
You are not alone! Glad we can all feel the same longings for simple times! Take care!
My God how I loved this song in the seventies and still can't get enough of it today. Thank you Paul Davis for this contribution of your talent.
i thank you tube for allowing us to view videos that we never had the opportunity before, all those great songs we visualized for years can now be easily viewed and recreate memories, thanks yo tube
I don't know how to Express my feelings when I can hear this beautiful and memorable music. It is a great gift for me and all the people who have the opportunity for enjoying the wonders of this music.
Good point !
THAT'S RIGHT , THANKS SO MUCH , RUclips , 💟💟🎸🎸🎷🎷🎺🎺🎻🎻🎹🎹🎶🎶🎵🎵🎼🎼🎧🎤🎤🎤🎤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥‼‼‼‼‼💯🔥🔥🔥💟💟💟💟
Mike Hawk He was hot!!!
I was thinking the same thing. It was confusing at first. The voice didnt match the image.. that being said, this is a song i learned while at work and loved it
I thought the same exact thing!😉
I thought he was Gorgeous. Just such a beautiful man. Not in a traditional way but every other.
Mike Hawk IT'S ALL COMING FROM THE HEART AND SOUL OF THE MAN. PURE
Paul had a voice straight from Heaven 🙏🙏🙏
Beautiful then, and still beautiful now, 55 years later. Thank you for uploading, and David, thank you for the beauty. And Rick, you are sorely missed. God bless you wherever you are
Pure talent without autotune, I honestly miss the 70's big time. I was born in 1960 and keep getting drawn back to this era and the hard rock era all the time. To me it was just a great time to grow up. The music now only has a choice few talented artists and groups but it seems like there isn't the same amount as when I grew up.
Amen. If you need autotune to get through a song and make yourself “sound good” get off the stage! These people made hits without it!
Amen!
These are very beautiful songs, so sad they don’t write songs like these anymore… Love is fading away from this world
Sweet, romantic lyrics.
Sewing away and this song came on. I remember when it came out still sounds great.
Wow I love that song! I listen to 70s music all the time and the songs bring back such carefree memories ❤😅
Hello, how are you doing now I really miss oldies song with grandma and I enjoy life concert lol with her
One of my most favorite songs ever! Thanks for the lovely memory!
This song. I loved it then and now. It still grabs the heart

This song still tares me up even after all these years...😥😥😥
Hello how are you? So sorry for the infringe on your privacy. Beautiful song
This was a big hit! I still love this song. RIP Paul Davis.
This is one beautiful song. I wish i had love like this now. Paul really knew how to pull at the heart strings.
Paul Davis is one of the best songwriters of soft, rock music. May he rest in peace and God bless him.
I grew up in the 70s and 80s. Paul Davis was the main songwriter, singer I absolutely loved to listen to back then and now! The world seemed so much simpler then and wonderful and carefree.
Hello Linnet how are you doing today??
👍
Such a beautiful song, full of memories. Also seeing Ricky Nelson introduce Paul was also a nostalgic overload !
It brings back memories of being excited about life and innocent as a young child. Melancholy is the right term.
Watching him sing this you can tell he feels every word. I do too. ❤
