    VERY VERY IMPORTANT !!!!
I have been informed by VW, there has been a change.
The higher DC peak charging power for the Id.3 Pro (58 kWh) will be implemented with 3.0
I am very sorry I had wrong info.

Many thanks Chris for the current update info on SW2.4. Linking the update with the service campaign for the 12V battery is not customer-friendly in my opinion, since we customers have had to put up with the insufficient functions for up to 1.5 years and sometimes have to endure considerable energy consumption in short-distance traffic at temperatures below 7°C .
Since a large number of ID.3 and ID.4 are affected, the battery manufacturer has to produce considerable additional production quantities, which takes time. In addition, the service campaign must be analyzed and planned in detail at the chassis number level. Therefore, VW will not be able to name any specific dates for the SW update 2.4 at the moment.

This is good news! I got tired of waiting for software updates for my ID.3 (never got the 2.3 update), and last year (December) I sold it and bought a Polestar 2 (Standard Range) instead. I really wanted the Polestar 2, though, but the VW software issues didn't make it harder for me to make this decision.

Hi, great video. I have just picked up the car after the service team in Marshall updated to 2.4, or at least they claim. When I go to System Information in the Settings menu, I still see ID. Software 2.3.0 and Software 0912. The service technician claims that this is normal, i.e. despite the update to 2.4 the car still says 2.3. I was suspicious so I called VW Customer Service and asked them; waiting for the response.
So the question is: Should the System Informaton section in the Settings after the update to 2.4 say version 2.4?

I'm going to be crazy with my car update! I missed the first one (2.3) because I did not payed attention to the email I received in the end of october. I sent my acceptance only in january but nothing happened. In march I wrote to VW and they told me that to obtain the update I had to go to the service within the first quarter of 2022 because my acceptance was given too late. I went to my local VW service but they had no notice about any update. Wrote to VW again to explain the situation and after a series of requests (VIN number, my mobile model and software version ???) I got the answer that I will get the update (version?) between april and june and was reccomended to take contact with my local service to get knowledge of the date. I'm very disappointed for this behavior from VW. My question if the update to 2.3 is mandatory to get future OTA updates is still unanswered. Unbelievable.

They use excuses all the time saying that the car is still new to them and they are still learning about the car themselves. It’s so so frustrating! So embarrasing.
In this yearly, “quarterly update” VW again claims to have fixed scheduled charging.
I’ll believe it when I see it. And still it doesn’t help the many people that don’t live in a hamster wheel and therefore can’t predict departure time the day before. It would have been so simple to also add switchable battery heating to the immediate climate preheating.
And still: no battery preheating when the navigation destination is a charger - that would have been easy too.
All we need is a simple stupid manual button to prepare the battery for fast charging.

@@pascaldeprez4040 the mystery is what was wrong with real switches! Sure, some people seem prepared to tolerate the capacitive touch garbage, but I've yet to hear anyone say that it's actually an improvement. Then taking into account the vast majority of people who hate them with the fire of a thousand Suns (myself included), you have to ask yourself why automakers are inflicting them on us. I mean, it's obvious they're a lot cheaper, but for me it would be a serious consideration when choosing a car. The MEB cars are dead to me because of that stuff, and yes, I have tried it.
