- Johnny Thunders plays Bob Dylan's 'Like a Rolling Stone' on acoustic guitar, filmed at Greenhouse Studio in August 1984, where earlier that year Johnny remixed 'L.A.M.F. Revisted'. The studio belonged to The Vibrators' Pat Collier, and in 2019 Pat remixed the 'Que Sera Sera' album that has become the 'Resurrected' version. Published on Johnny's 68th birthday, heralding the 'Que Sera Sera - Resurrected' 3xCD box set launch.
This version of 'Like a Rolling Stone' features on the bonus disc of 'Born Too Loose - the best of', together with other rarities including more acoustic tracks from this session.

Saw Johnny at the Night Shift Cafe in Naugatuck, CT on April 22, 1989. I lit his cigarette.

Sweet Johnny Thunders
Thank you for this jungle, great to see the visual of the recording, Hurt me is probably my favorite record of all time just Johnny and his guitar rip, hope we can see more recordings
Thanks. We'll try and get around to cleaning up and posting Hurt Me too.
john for ever
These videos are gold. Thanks Jungle for sharing them. Just walked past Camden Stables today…think I saw Johnny’s ghost loitering around Dingwalls playing this song😪
This was filmed in Islington, at Pat Collier's Greenhouse Studio. So probably a ghost over there, too!
Já li muitos comentários negativos sobre esse artista. Mas uma coisa ninguém pode negar , ele é uma lenda do Punk Rock.
Always listened to the CD
So amazing to see the visual 😢
Yes, this is on the bonus disc to the 'best of, Born Too Loose, along with a couple of other acoustic songs - Sad Vacation and a bit of Diary of a Lover.
@@junglerecords and don't forget Johnny calling a guy in the audience a douchebag and asking to fight him. 🤣
@@oliverkalamata2753 yeah, that bit was the acoustic bit from the Lyceum gig, we went from that into this studio session.
gênio
Dont move. Help is on the way.
Johnny was best with an acoustic guitar!
He was great with an acoustic, but some may say that what he did with an electric was incomparable!
@@junglerecords i still think to this day no rock n roll / punk guitarist is as authentic in his playing style like johnny. Rest easy king
@@junglerecords His acoustic versions were great, but his electric style was unique. You can recognize his guitar style immediately
Great angle to take it live it could be talented guy next you love it
@@junglerecords yes his electric chuck berry style was very important just ask Steve Jones and the rest of the London boys lol
He was great
NEVER FORGET🔥🔥🔥
I love this thanks for posting it. I love you J. Thunders one of the last true Rock Stars!
"Well tell me how does it feel" ? 🎸
to be on your own...

You're welcome!
Sounds great 👍

🖤🖤
Genialidad !
the great Guitar Hero
and songwriter, performer, style icon... etc!
@@junglerecords sure! i had listened her whole discography of him last year
Stop holding back, release all the videos from the studio recordings!
You guys need to jus put every piece of Johnny thunders footage you have on a bluray dvd or relese it on your RUclips channel you would get a million vieews easily you guys re release albums like crazy but I don’t understand why you don’t drop the footage I bet your setting on a gold mine
'A million views, easily'? We put up a couple of clips from the Marquee a year ago, and they struggled to get to 1k. This one's had over 20k - but we don't earn from it. But rest assured, we're always looking to put more things up there. Keep spreading the word on Johnny, and maybe we will get to that million some day!
@@junglerecords ya I feel the ppl want some stuff that hasn’t been released yet or some full live concerts I loved the lamf found masters that sounded amazing and I def spread the word daily I actually make music I sampled can’t put your arms around a memory and it’s past 60k streams n the past 2months and I’m doing my own version of in cold blood I’m editing the music video now cheers sn much love 🤘 can’t wait for the next thunders jungle release 💯
Rolling thunders
FUNKY MANC
That guitar isn't an ovation. Does anyone know what brand it is?
I can understand Johnny, more than Dylan
wow ... thunders was the electric bob dylan... shame on our culture and drugs... this guy was freaking good, and everybody feeds off dead material... you should credit him
What's shameful about the culture of our great music?
Bob Dylan was "the electric Bob Dylan". Instead of trying to copy Dylan as so many tried,
Johnny took this tune back to basics.
@@mitchgawlik1175 he did that with all his covers, except maybe Pipeline...
I like Johnny better when he’s himself and u don’t know what to expect, looks like he’s just reading the words in front of him
There were no words in front of him, I assure you! He was a big Dylan fan; he also covered Joey.
@@junglerecords Yes I like all of Johnny’s work and this is a good video but I can tell when Johnny’s forcing it, have a listen to this version for reference ruclips.net/video/MtkRn83bjhs/видео.html He sounds more like himself. To be all alone like a complete unknown could’ve been Johnny’s anthem, I’ve listened to joey and actually prefer it over the Bob Dylan version but both are great.
I think Bob Marley 🤔 played 1 of those acoustic guitars?
First time I like bob dylan lol
I would've liked to hear Johnny thunders sing more Dylan songs i like dylan but johnny sings prettier
Lol
Tell me how does it feel?
N1 BOSS!!!
