Iggy has a song tribute to ol Johnny Thunders called " Look Away" . Beautiful tune And yes, LAMF is top tier rock n roll. That album opened my eyes. ONE TRACK MIND
What Iggy says about the other 3 in the band is funny. Scary looking bunch of dudes. I always thought Walter Lure looked like he could be a Batman Villain.
It's funny , Iggy failed to mention going out with the sisters , in last days of Raw Power Stooges..in LA ..... Also he saying Nolan was like John Gotti..... .. .. Especailly since Lure was successful as hell and lived a double life on wallstreet. He was loaded by the early 80s and eventually the insanity that surrounded the Heartbreakers must of been far too much a risk to take on.
@@phantompanther648the heartbreakers could pack the clubs in all the major cities around the world. They were signed to record labels. It became a niche band. A lot of influential and successful musicians listened to the heartbreakers. I wouldn’t call it an empty moment.
I was a Dolls fan as a kid thanks to my parents unbelievable record collection. I wasnt aware of the Heartbreakers till a little later but LAMF like Clem said is such an amazingly great Rock N Roll record. When they did what little dates were left on the anarchy tour they absolutely stole the show and the Pistols and members of the Clash were huge Johnny Thunders fans.
Walter’s book is funny, especially stories about Thunder’s. Bringing Walter home to his mom & telling her he needs a $100 or Walter is going to hurt him real bad.
We all know where Depp took his style for his character in pirates of the Caribbean, it was totally Johnny thunders. The voice was more like Keith though
I thought so also at first, but it is indeed Dylan. This clip is taken from season #2, episode #55 of The Bob Dylan Theme Time Radio Hour. The full show is on the web.
I remember seeing a pic of Thunders in his NYD phase doing an exaggerated Elvis sneer and Billy Idol co-opting that look throughout the 80’s. Those English bands wanted to be the Dolls and Stooges so bad😂😂😂
I watched this movie called Room 37 about his death. It’s a very confusing movie. It made me think that he was murdered because of the money that was on him and the area he was in he just got caught in a circle of bad dudes over drugs. But he did have advanced leukemia too. It’s very strange
He played some excellent music on his Themetime Radio shows, and no doubt got assistance from radio producers. So it was probably they who gave him a little background info on each artist.
Mix? I thought it"s been pretty acknowledged that it was bad mastering that ruined L.A.M.F. 1:39 Sounds like some intern shoved a note under Dylan's nose and he read about who Johnny was. Actually, it sounds like someone with a clothespin on his nose trying to be Dylan even though yeah, I know it's sadly him.
It had to do with the vinyl pressing plant their record company used. Found Masters refers to the fact that the original masters were lost shortly after release, so it never got a proper re-release and different mixes and mastering were always being used. What is inaccurate about what is Dylan saying exactly?
Yes; it's this voice throughout his radio show! (And it's funny; nearly all comments are about Dylan, his voice, what he said ... very few mentions of Iggy or Clem or what they had to say!)
If one gets a eulogy from Iggy Pop, and it's a good one, you know they were somebody special.

not really true about Walter, old school ny sure, he was the Manager of a large group at a brokerage.
His & Jerry’s tunes on lamf are the best.

Depp took his style from al jourgenson or andy mccoy
Thunders 1987 live in L.A he was rocking the pirate look hard on that tour
@Leahflower you really are an annoying person, you pop up everywhere with a sarcastic comment. Pathetic personality crisis??
That is a very suspect Dylan voice.
That's how he sounded throughout his Theme Time Radio shows. Maybe they faked the lot!
😂
@@junglerecordsI think Dylan's voice was faked.

What? I hear a lot of Waldos influence in this Lp. The Heartbreakers were a good team
In New Orleans , Johnny had leukemia , this is right , but his death is still shady . Watch the documentary , it's very interesting .
Hey its Elvis Ramone!!!!!!
He aged well

Remember when ya introduced him to dope
Los new York Dolls fueron la raíz, pero los Heathbreaker lo desarrollarón: Allí comenzó todo, ya eran "Punck Rock".
1:35-1:37 Johnny looks like a vampire!
He often got up in Dracula type tie- ascot....
[Well, his death WAS related to drugs. It's my opinion that he was murdered.]

Syl said that Johnny was a completely different kid before a “pop star” that’s still around turned him on to heroin.

What is inaccurate about what is Dylan saying exactly?
Dylan is well aware of the Thunders discography. He has said on record years ago that Memory was THEE song he wishes he wrote.
Johnny had acute leukemia
Advanced too.
Is that really what Bob Dylan sounds like???
Yes; it's this voice throughout his radio show! (And it's funny; nearly all comments are about Dylan, his voice, what he said ... very few mentions of Iggy or Clem or what they had to say!)
Bob Dylan's speaking voice is even more nauseating than (for want of a better word) his singing.
BS. Yer just stupid.
It's sad cause iggy pop got johnny into herion
Didn't lou reed get them all started lol
@@leahflower9924 no

Johnny died of leukemia, Mr. Dylan. If your ego allows, kindly check your facts.
The kind of leukemia he had was related to and caused by intravenous drug use. Notice he says drug related and not an overdose.
Cannot stand bob dylan
