Girl forget all the rules. If you like it, wear it . Duh 😏
You tie your sneakers so that they stay on your feet. Leaving laces loose so you can tuck them in means the shoes will eventually become loose. The shoes have laces for a reason. If you want a sleeker look with casual sneakers, buy laceless ones -- Sketchers or Vans come to mind - or sneakers where the laces are just decorative.
I just run my laces underneath the ladder of laces. Works great. I need the lateral support that properly tied laces give you! I have seen some cute Skeckers but when I try them on, they don't have good support for me.
Elastic shoelaces work well for a clean look.
I always wonder who are these "experts" that thing they know more than anybody how and what to wear in clothes and shoes.
Tucking the laces in is so uncomfortable on the top of my foot, feels bruised. I like myself more with age and I’m so comfortable with how I look, I don’t suffer for beauty anymore. 😆
No matter what I do, laces appear - so I gave up and tie in a bow. Sorry, I'm not stylish! LOL My favorite color (today) is pink.
Try this hack she just mentioned if you haven’t. It’s works great!
It also doesn't work if you have narrow feet and need to tighten the laces so your heels don't slip.

Love the sheepskin inserts for boots….awesome find!!!…Thanks for the suggestion!!! I have several pairs of Hunter boots which I usually wear with chunky socks. That’s a definite “must have”! I also need the Peds no show sneaker socks. I have to keep my sneakers tied tightly or I will walk right out of them. I rarely find size 5 sneakers and usually have to settle for size 6 (I only like white canvas sneakers/tennis shoes), but When buying larger sizes, I have to wear a couple pairs of socks and tie them tightly to keep them from flopping. It’s not that wearing these items a certain way is wrong…just a matter of personal preference. Styles and fashion trends change almost on a monthly basis, so wear what you want and how you want. It’s beyond exhausting keeping up with the current trends and “appropriate” styles. At some point, it’ll be in trend if not for a brief moment in time! There’s enough people in the world who love pointing out what we are doing “wrong”, just be you! Perhaps a better approach instead of “You’re doing/wearing it wrong!”, is “Perhaps you might want to try THIS instead of this!” I love options as opposed to commands or criticisms and biased judgments.
Interesting how it all comes down to one's personal preferences as against to what's 'right' or 'wrong'. I personally don't prefer almost all of the things shown here as "the better option". Thanks for putting out the information who might need it though.

Great tips in this video, especially about the suede waterproof spray. I am one of the ones that doesn’t buy suede for that very reason. My favorite color is purple! I love all shades of purple, but my absolute favorite is more of a plum. Thanks for the video!!!

The problem with tucking the laces under the tongue of the sneakers is that it will hurt the top of my feet. Granted, my skin is thin and marks easily.

I just found your channel 😊 my favorite color for clothes are the Norwegian/boho colors: tans, white, creams. BUT this season I’m falling in love with jewel tones, browns, dark greens,& but mix them with my light colors.

ALL of this makes most women feel self-conscious, so they'll BUY products, and the "influencer" receives commi$$ions. Some of the "influencers" choices look absolutely ridiculous at times with endless schlepping of endless products, look at last years must haves that are OUT now. We're always told you're not good enough, by other women touting "THAT is out of style" so we'll buy this product and toss the product they schlepped last year and buy the new "IN" product. Buy classics, be happy, stop spending money on drivel offered by a schlepper.

Wearing a tight ankle boot should be worn with pants that are to the floor and are a bootcut/straight leg or wide leg - cropped peg leg looks wrong on ever level with those tight ankle boots - utterly mis matched
It’s VERY important to spray the leather stuff outside as it’s highly toxic, never inside🚫‼️ They often contain PFAS, phtalates and other chemicals. Also make sure the sprayed items off gas outside. But another great video🌞🌸

I mean, did people ever really purposely tuck their jeans into ankle boots/booties? I think mid-calf cowboy and combat boots are the only semi-relevant examples - but those are both full on “looks.”
I’m pretty sure the tucking jeans and other pants into boots had mainly been done with taller boots. You obviously need skinnies for this, and it isn’t really necessary to have monochromatic colors.
It’s a sleek, flattering look. And sexy in an understated, casual way. I mean, it’s inspired by equestrian wear. Does anyone not look hot in those clothes? I dare say it’s impossible not too.
And I’ll continue to die on this hill. Can we please stop trying to convince grown ass women that dressing in the least flattering way possible is “modern” and “fresh.” No, it’s women trying to look like teenagers who are not going to look back on their fashions with pride. No one does.
Hidden laces??? No show-up socks? Is this video really from 2022??? Teen girls in mid 2010-s tried to wear those. But quickly understood all these were very unnatural and extremely uncomfortable.

No show socks are an evil trick. I have narrow feet and heels and I have yet to find a pair that didn't end up bunched under my arch within 10 minutes of walking - I'm talking about the kind with silicone to keep them in place.

I can barely walk because of crippling arthritis and swollen feet. I'm lucky that I can put on a pair of sneakers. And right now I don't give a rat's ass about how much of my skin is showing. You need to get a life! Each person is different and adapts to wear what is comfortable for them. Style at this point is irrelevant for me.
I always find it funny when people chose to click on style videos (which no one makes you watch or do anything in the vid) then complain about it and make rude comments. No one cares what you wear. I’m here for myself.

The boots are fine, the pants are too short. 😂 I hate no show socks. They are horribly uncomfortable to me. If anyone is looking that closely at my feet, they must have fallen down and are on the floor. Wear your shoes how ever you like them. None of this is 'wrong'. As she said, it is HER opinion.
