Hi again, The reason you cry during these scenes, for me, is you realize that something you didn't understand suddenly makes sense or your blurred vision is suddenly clear. And you take another step on the road to Redemption. Proverbs 28:13 got it started for me. Have a Blessed and Beautiful Day, Shalom Shalom ✝️📖✌️💞🙏🥀😇
Shey, this was awesome! I enjoyed it a lot. I related to Mary a lot in episode one and I cannot get through that episode without ugly crying. I think Mary was not only possessed with demons, but also haunted by demons of her past which I think we can all relate to. We all have our personal demons or a past that haunts us. I could be wrong, but it seemed they eluded to her having been raped by a Roman soldier, and then she had the drinking problem not only from being possessed but as a result of her personal demons from her past. And when Jesus steps in and saved her, it’s just the most beautiful releasing moment. Every time I watch that scene. I feel like I’m Mary and he’s doing this for me at the same time. I just feel so loved by Jesus in that moment. I wish I could harness that moment and keep it with me all day every day. ❤
I know how you feel! I can’t even watch the very last scene of the show, by itself, without crying. It’s acted so well, but when you know the whole story and you realize Jesus reaches out to us in our brokenness, it’s so overwhelming the tears just flow. It’s a good cry. ❤
I think this podcast is also helpful. I tried to get my mom to watch it but there’s so much going on in the first episode and so many characters introduced. She had a hard time maintaining interest and understanding what was going on. I sent her this link to your podcast, after she watches we are going to try and watch episode one again. I’m hoping it will all make more sense to her. So thanks!
I hope she keeps trying. I’ve watched the complete series several times and the things I’ve learned from my church have helped fill in the gaps (like the history of that time). Thanks for saying the podcast is helpful. I was totally unsure!
