18 Months down... But we're back and better than ever!

- Due to multiple construction projects and the covid pandemic, the Six flag and Texas Railroad had to take an 18 month hiatus. The railroad reopened in late 2020. This was a just a little something to let our friends and guests know that we were ready to come back at any moment!

You guys are making miss MY railroad! The Great America Scenic Railway at Six Flags Great America! I wanted to return in 2019, but couldn’t as I had a Florida internship. I ran that train for 3 seasons (2016-2018). Surprisingly, they were closed for the 2019 season as they didn’t have a bridge finished yet (They took out a small section of track and excavated the land for part of a new ride or its path), so it didn’t open that season. Fun fact: I was actually one of the 3 people there working on it who cared more for the locomotive and train itself than the actual ride (I’m a theme park nerd, so of course I had to). While the train I drove was diesel hydraulic, because it looked like it was a real working stem loco at one point, to me, it will ALWAYS be steam in my heart.
This shut down is killing me. Initially shut down for construction of the new Aquaman ride. Covid-crapola stopped that so looks as if were down until next year.

I hope so! That would be great. But I'm in the dark as much as you. I can't WAIT to get to the throttle again! This has been tough not running and knowing the park is open.
@@DustyWingsProductions i noticed that six flags st Louis also runs a steam train but I like the ones at this park better though

Partially - That and some annual work on the tracks themselves that got started late and not completed before the season started.

Another thing I herd rumors about aquaman being taken out have you herd anything about that
Something must be going on, but exactly what I'm not sure.
