Wonderful video! I've been waiting for someone to make something with such quality on the Six Flags and Texas RR. Can't wait until they put a fire back in the locomotives this weekend.
TREFan570.. I'm SO glad you enjoyed it. I work on the railroad now and did way back in the late 70's early 80's. I care about these engines and wanted everyone to understand just how important these engines are. Find me some time when you are there.
Just thought I'd let you know, I'm the boy that talked with you some at the Boomtown Depot while we waited for the Red Train to get into the "roundhouse." I'm also the one that asked if there was a way to get to the RR Xings in the back. Had fun talking with you!
I have a question regarding the original name of the General Sam Houston is it Marianne, with one word or two separate words Mary Anne correct me if I’ve misspelled the name wrong
+Dusty Wings Productions hello i was wondering if you could tell me where these locations are as for spring break im gonna go to six flags 3:34 7:27 7:49 8:24 9:23 and any other spots you could recommend maybe I'll run into you at Six flags in 2 weeks
+Railfan Productions By Texas Railfankid All of these shots but one were made in locations the general public really can't get to. I guess it's an advantage I have being an engineer on the train. But.... so you'll know where these shots were made: 3:34) Standing between RR tracks and the cue line for the Texas Giant right at the beginning of that trestle as the train leaves Johnson Creek Station with the camera at track level. 7:27) Standing just outside of the tunnel looking towards Hobo Hill. 7:49) In the back area of the Runaway Mine Train right at the beginning of the trestle that runs through the Mine Train, Mini-Mine Train and Mr. Freeze. 8:24) Shot coming out of the Boomtown Depot. You might be able to get this shot... but I shot from the grass area you would not be able to get to. 9:23) Same location as the 3:34 mark.. just looking the other direction. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking an interest in our little railroad.
Yes they did. Even after the initial rebuild for SFOT, there were still other changes made. There are still some original parts on both locomotives to this day.
@@gradymcclintock3766 The locomotives are ready to go. They are performing some annual track maintenance and we'll start running as soon as it's complete.
I have a question the key you use to activate the Boomtown Crossing do you leave it in overnight or do you take it out on the last run and then put it back on the first run
I sure do miss running those awesome locomotives!!! By far, the best job I ever had!!!
I miss them to
What a wonderful memory flashback! Thank you!!!
Great Video history of the Six Flags Train.
This video was soothing. Really appreciate all the hard work you put into this. The old footage is really cool
I love that my waving at the skeletons stayed in haha! Thank you so much for all of your hard work Cliff, this is really great!
Well.... no one would have known you were just waving at skeletons until you mentioned it. You inspired me to make this, Chaz. Thank YOU!
Nice video. Thanks for the history and the additional information on the locomotives and railroad. Stay safe and healthy.
Nice little piece on the history of these engines. Also, very nice to hear someone actually lay into the whistle cord in that opening sequence!
Thank you, Sir. Yep... that's a guy who's been working on the railroad for over 30 years. He likes to wake up the park that way. Glad you liked it
Cliff, this a very interesting and informative video. Keep up the good work!
Very informative video. Learned a lot I did not know. Thank You!
+John Poulsen Glad you enjoyed it!

How do you spell the name of that town in Louisiana where the Enterprise sugarcane Plantation is located??
That would be Patoutville. Basically located south of New Iberia on US 90 and LA 85.
The engines looked a little different on the plantation
Yes they did. Even after the initial rebuild for SFOT, there were still other changes made. There are still some original parts on both locomotives to this day.

Pretty much chained in place. What have you got on your mind?
Dusty Wings Productions in some theme park Railways if the public station has no fences the engineer carries the key with him at all times
