I was there that day stood 1f out and even though none of us could imagine how brilliant he'd end up to be I could remember at the time how impressed I was and thinking this could be a really special horse
He's recognised globally not just in England hence the reason he recieved one of the strongest ever first year book of mares in his first year at stud. Just look at the Gr1 winning mares he's been sent throughout the world from the USA to Japan even Australia. You really haven't got a clue have you...
What did you want, Frankel to race in two runner races. He either made all or was dropped in. He proved throughout his career that he was versatile in terms of tactics and race running. He didn't use a pacemaker throughout his 2 year old career, He raced with and without one in his 3 year old career and 4 year old career just look in the Juddmonte International. Ballydoyle applied 2 pacemakers for St Nicholas Abbey and it still didn't make any difference...
The same Secretariat who was drugged up to his eyeballs as his trainer later admitted and He ran on Lasix many times. You can't compare the two, One ran clean the other didnt. We can debate this all day long, Frankel will be remembered as one of the greatest thoroughbreds the world as ever seen. End of story...
Frankel in this race reached speeds of 42.85 mph. That is speed for you, if any horse in the 21st century could keep up with this pace, or at least give Frankel a hard time would be Zenyatta from the States, probably Black Caviar from Australia and the 2001 Kentucky Derby Speedo Monarchos... Otherwise Frankel's speed is unmatched...
Out of all Al Zarooni's horses 14 tested positive and none of them have raced since. British racing is the cleanest in the world, Not like down under where Al Zarooni would still have a job. Tinpot country, Tinpot racing...
The difference between European racing and Australian racing is in Australia Al Zarooni would still have a job as its permissable to use PA drugs and Steroids out of season whereas in European it is completely against the rules. The amount of horses in Australia that can be given steroids out of season would be frightening, The Trainers Association down in Australia were up in arms when it was suggested banning steroids out of season in Australia...
Little more than a glorified workout for Frankel. I'd say Jet Away and Bullet Train likely push him harder on the gallops when he's training than either of these 2 horses did.
Gerard Butler admitted to administering steroids for medical purpose on injured horses, He wasnt caught out. He actually admitted to it. Aussie racing as long been suspected of drug abuse, Just look at All Too Hard for example the rumour is he wouldn't be the same horse at Royal Ascot if running drug free beforehand - With all the rumours of Peter Moody and Black Caviar cheating down under its clear why All Too Hard was retired with Ascot becoming more stringent on oversea runners...
That says it all about Aussie racing standards - Flawed. How many isolated incidents in Europe as there been with steroids since Al Zarooni? Its one of the cleanest in the world, Whereas like I've said Al Zarooni would still have a job in Australia and Dubai because there it wouldn't be seen as breaking the rules... You need to do some reading up on the sport lad, You clearly do not comprehend it
You do realise the horse in front is actually from a different stable? Frankel slipstreamed him and showed that turbo that propelled him as the best horse in the world and the GREATEST of all time... As an Aussie though, I guess it must be difficult knowing all your horses are on steroids so its all fake and tarnished!
Do you honestly believe half the stuff you type? Do you even know who the IFHA are? There made up of handicappers throughout the world, the UK, USA, Australia, France, Japan etc etc etc and they were all universally agreed that Frankel deserved a IFHA rating of 140 which as been made official - He was a two time World Champion at 3 and 4 in his 3 year old career he was awarded 136 the same rating as Sea the Stars at 140 the highest in there history since ratings begun...
Aussie racing will always be mediocre, Its nowhere near the standard of European, Japanese and American racing. Just look at the Melbourne Cup the biggest race down under dominated in recent years by second rate European stayers even with all those drugs there pumping into them down under it still doesnt make any difference...
10 consecutive group 1 wins. In his career he beat 25 group 1 winners. Ordinary lol. The only thing that was 'ordinary' was how the other runners were made to look.
'He might just have a touch of star quality about him' Biggest understatement in history!!!!
Look at him running, like a bull! The most beautiful best moving horse ive ever seen, he got me into racing and will always be the best.
I was there that day stood 1f out and even though none of us could imagine how brilliant he'd end up to be I could remember at the time how impressed I was and thinking this could be a really special horse
"And he might just have a touch of star quality about him," - just a bit.
thanks for putting all races on
Haha was just about to say that, no-one had no idea how famous he'd be, amazing horse!
Frankel the wonder horse
The commentary though??!’

I was just going to repeat that comment as well. :)
Tons left he was just starting to race

Maybe not a great race, but when he turned on the afterburners..wow.
As McGregor would say: Easy wook.

this is not a race, lots of franks races were ordinary
+m lmao what an idiot.
There's always one Ray.

@@marcusprice3199 Yep Rainbow Springs placed third in the Marcel Boussac in her next start after this.
