      Hi just wondering thinking about getting one
      Can you tell me how good is it to other ones in that spectrum
      Thanks in advance
      Asking because RUclips is one thing and in real live it’s another

      @manfredworner8528 Well when I use it for recording
      I have a ton of guitar pedals, think of Andy Timmons pedalboard!
      Yup, exactly, anyway, I run my entire pedalboard into The OPUS
      And then out into my interface.
      For a live show, I go into the OPUS
      Then out to a small 50 watt power amp. coming out of the power amp to my 2x12 cab and the Direct out of the OPUS To the Sound Board.
      Also for recording if you go out into your recording software you can do a stereo sound.
      Just use both outs into channel 1 and the Direct out into channel 2.
      Also if you have a Amp Modeler like a Headrush Prime or others, you can.
      Just run that into the OPUS and out to either you recording interface or live to the sound board.
      Just disable the cabs in the Amp Modeler.
      I hope this helps.
      Ps. The different preamps in the OPUS are Amazing.

    Some of the amp models have a lot of static coming through. Even with the humbucker Jazzmaster.

    • @bryanh3057
      @bryanh3057 5 месяцев назад

      Yeah, I mean you get that with real amps, so that’s actually a good sign in my opinion. The gate in the earlier models is actually top notch, so I suspect this one is solid too

    Dearest Sir: Is it "Amp-->Two Notes"OPUS"-->Loadbox-->Speaker OR...............................Is it "Amp-->Loadbox-->OPUS-->Speaker? And finally what jacks use (speaker cable)?? Thank you so much for your help in advance because I am "dead in the water" ntil i know the safe way to cable this

    • @TSFAHTPS
      @TSFAHTPS  Месяц назад

      If you have an actual guitar speaker/cabinet connected then you don’t need a load box…you go from the speaker output of the amp with a speaker cable to the “from amp” input on the opus and then from the “to speaker” output with a speaker cable to you guitar speaker/cabinet! That way you put the speaker simulation of the opus between your amp and cabinet so you can use the speaker emulation from the opus PLUS you will also hear your actual cabinet/speaker!
      If you don’t want a an actual guitar cabinet/speaker attached, so you will only hear the cabinet simulation from the opus, then you can either go from the speaker output on your amp with a speaker cable to a load box and then from there with a normal guitar cable to the opus OR you can go for from the speaker output of your amp with a speaker cable to the “from amp” input of the opus and then from the “to speaker” output with a speaker cable to the load box!
      I hope that makes sense

    Is there a way split any signal? I mean not effect one out such as a 1/4” or a headphone with the volume but do change it on the DI out?

  • @HiredGoonage
    @HiredGoonage 9 месяцев назад +1

    Just to be clear, you would not plug an amp into this box right?

    • @TSFAHTPS
      @TSFAHTPS  9 месяцев назад +1

      Not unless you have a speaker or a load box attached! You can put this in between the amp and the speaker and use this as speaker simulation for recording or live gigs - so you don’t have to put a mic in front of the speaker! Or you can use the built in amp sounds and just use it instead of an amp like I did in this video - hope that makes sense?!?
      If you use this without a speaker or load box attached you will damage your amp

    Without being able to demo one myself, I find the user reactions to this pedal (not just here. All over the chat forums/reviews/comments sections) to be really inconsistent. It is difficult to get a handle on whether it’s just the usual rush of sponsored hype followed by the downswing of real world user experience or something else. Many people mention (and it’s audible on this demo too) about the noise floor being high.
    Separate question: I have an analogue, zero watt Simplifier DLX (sounds great with more “texture” in the attack transients than digital modellers) that, for fun, I would like to mess about with alternative cab sims/IR’s to the “mechanical “ onboard ones. Has anyone had any success with that ? (I could include Cab M+ users in this I guess). I use Reaper in Linux so do not want to depend on third party plugins to do that.

      I’m pretty sure the Zuma has an adjustable 500mA output…where you can switch between 9V, 12V & 18V…just make sure you set it to 12V and you’ll be fine!!

    Can you plug your guitar into it, and then run it straight to a cab

    • @LeRonChilds
      @LeRonChilds 6 месяцев назад

      No, you'll need a power amp to power the cab. If you have a combo amp with no speaker out, such as fender rumble 800 combo, you can use the cab out of the amp to connect to input of opus and then connect a external cab of correction ohms. It will give you dru signal out of can out but be able to send to foh. The other way to connect to combo amp is to connect instrument to opus and connect to fx return to bypass internal combo amp eq and effects. You'll be using the power amp section of that particular amp and you can send the different effects in the opus to the speaker of the amp.

      Alright, makes sense hehe.
      For your info, being a metalhead myself, i can tell you your metal tones sound like some overblown HM2 style thing : way too much gain/compression, and that weird HM2 voicing (that can only work in some very specific niche genres with that particular HM2 tone).
      If it sounds like this already, it's not a good idea to add more gain and/or an extra boost/Od/tube screamer thing in front of it, or boost more frequencies :)
      You need to back off the gain first, and maybe turn down some of the EQ/exciter/enhancer parameters.
      My 2 cents !

      @@TSFAHTPS You're welcome. It helps to be very familiar with how guitar tones sound like in that genre though :)
      Pretty sure i would suck at dialing a funk tone or lush reverb worship music tone, because i barely play/listen to that stuff :)
      Listening to guitar stems from famous metal albums, listening to one side only (so that you get only one guitar, on one speaker/side) can help getting acquainted with that.

    I purchased this pedal and was completely underwhelmed with it. It was a big disappointment because I really wanted to make it a foundation for my acoustic and occasional electric guitar sound. I returned it after working with it for an entire day.

    • @andyguerrero6500
      @andyguerrero6500 29 дней назад

      I’m thinking about buying one soon, but I’m doubting, since I’ve seen so many videos from reviews of the unit, and every person who plug it in, they all get a different sound and say “this is straight out of the box” 🫤🫤 I mean… like they sound like total crap or they sound like a tube amp and allegedly they’re plugging in with “no tricks”. What was your experience like? Why couldn’t you get the same tones out as the people reviewing this did?

    • @im58woody
      @im58woody 29 дней назад

      @@andyguerrero6500 My experience was dismal. I have owned over a dozen different types multi effects pedals from the most popular brands under 1k and this one ranks near the bottom for tone and function. Couldn’t return it fast enough.
