    Introducing QS-G12M25 based on the legendary Celestion 25w Greenback. This represents years of testing and research to create the ultimate in realism for simulating guitar speaker recordings. Using the same profiling technology (NAM) widely recognised as the most authentic way to profile guitar amps, we have developed a way to model the speaker and microphone with that same accuracy and realism. We added our decades of real-world recording industry knowledge and experience to create the first true alternative to recording a real guitar cabinet that captures the depth of sound and behaviour of a real speaker, mic and room. No more using EQ (IRs) to simulate complex non-linear transducers!
    Ever made a guitar track using IRs and wondered.. how much better would it sound if I went to a Pro studio and recorded it properly? Having problems getting your IRs to sit well in a mix? this may be the answer..
    In a world where impulse responses have become the go-to solution for guitar speaker simulation it is likely that many players have never experienced the behaviour of a real guitar speaker at its optimum level (LOUD!). Imagine walking into a high-end studio; The speaker cabinet has already been miced up with a selection of great choices by a pro engineer and you are the artist sat at the mixing desk ready to start creating your signature sound.. The possibilities are endless, just like the real thing!
    This first of 3 videos takes you through the basics of the QS-G12M25 Quantum Speaker pack. In the upcoming parts 2 and 3 we will go deeper into the unlimited possibilities of our unique approach to recreating the real sounds and uses of a miced guitar cabinet in a studio.
    Want to try it for yourself? Grab a free preview Quantum speaker profile of your own with our free "Neutron XL" pack when you register on our site, for more info watch the Neutron XL Video here:

It feels so much more inspiring to work with faders to shape the sound instead of flipping through 1000s of files. Also the room mics really bring it home for me it simply sounds insanely good. I‘m eagerly awaiting your next release. Any infos on the release yet?

      A lot of that "realness" is actually a by-product of the fact that we are using the correct type of tool to capture the speaker and mic.. Speakers (and mics) are a non-linear transducer, and guitar speakers particularly are designed to exhibit unique non-linear behaviours as their individual "voice". IRs are linear EQ curves only, they capture no dynamics and no non-linear behaviour.. what you get instead is an average of the frequency response, and that can sound quite similar (mainly due to our inability to discern changes in sound over time) but will lack the detail of dynamics and non-linearity. IRs can even be made to sound almost exactly the same if the speaker is very quiet (in that case it will exhibit much less non-linear behaviour.. this is an easy way to create a fake test to fool people that IRs sound exactly like real speakers, and is often used as an argument against people saying they dont sound real..beware!)> So, by using a system designed to capture non-linear behavior (Like NAM) Quantum speaker contains all of that information and mimics the behavior perfectly.. therefore it sounds real, and that includes the ability to turn the virtual speaker's volume up and down and have it change behavior like a real one :)

    Wow this is freakin awesome! I’ll be buying every speaker you guys do. How in the heck did you capture just a speaker? Maybe using a super hifi stereo amp? Also wondering are these feather or lite captures since they probably don’t need as much processing as regular captures? I ask because I can see running out of cpu when running 4 nam amps and then for each I could use 4 of your nam speaker captures for a total of 16 nam instances running. Super stoked for these!

      Hey! Neutron Stu here.. Well, I can answer, but.. bearing in mind we are the first company to do this I am not really in a hurry to explain exactly how just yet, what I will say is the amp used was the easiest problem to solve, and you are on the right track with the reference quality, low THD amplifier idea. As far as the captures are concerned, no they are full-fat NAM profiles.. sorry but only the best sound will do. You have the freeze feature anyway if you run out of juice, but we are not in the business of putting out "lite" versions.. I am prepared to look at this in the future, but only on the basis that there is NO discernable difference in sound.. It could be down to the fact that they are less complex in nature than the crazy distortion in an amp capture, and possibly NAM uses less resources in that case.. not sure. I will ask the author when i get a chance as this may be why, I have noticed the same thing and that was another reason why I never looked into the lite profiles... ohh and we have LOTS more coming.. starting with V30 next. Free sample of that will be in our next free pack, make sure you check in on the Neutron Users FB group so you know when that drops. On a personal note, thanks very much for you custom and endorsement of what we are doing. It means a lot to hear that you enjoy them.

    So Where to get the SUB IR? 🤔

    • @neutron_audio
      @neutron_audio  2 дня назад

      @AlexisGitarre These are not IRs, They are Non-linear Speaker and Mic profiles for the free Neural Amp Modeler plugin. Don't worry if you are not aware of these, we are the first to release them! You can think of this as the natural evolution of IRs, containing all the information of the original sound instead of only 1 part as is the case in an IR (Just an EQ curve) These profiles include all the dynamics and breakup of the speaker and Mic. The Sub is just 1 of 27 mic options included in the full Quantum Speaker pack.

    Neural Amp modeler really NEEDS STEREO CAPABILITIES! The workarounds are a pain, and can sometimes cause issues. It shouldn't be too hard to implement as a feature. That's my wish

    • @neutron_audio
      @neutron_audio  13 дней назад +1

      It is extremely rare to find professionally recorded electric guitar with genuine stereo sources. It is certainly not a limiting factor here, as we capture stereo for the room using Blumlein Pairs which far from a workaround are a far superior method used by professional engineers to capture hyper-realistic stereo sound in a space. Since we are aiming to faithfully reproduce the real experience and resulting recordings of a speaker captured with microphones in a professional studio, stereo in this case would provide no benefit at all. I suppose having stereo quickstart files could be nice, but those are only intended to let you audition the sound of each speaker before you delve into the discrete mics and start making your own sounds, at which point you can pan them as you like, and use the figure 8 mics to create very spacially accurate stereo of the room. We are not the authors of the NAM plugin, so if you want features added to NAM, can I suggest that you request those on the official NAM facebook group? (facebook.com/groups/neuralampmodeler/) I know some guys on there are looking at capturing outboard gear and are also asking about stereo, for that it would definitely be needed.

    • @neutron_audio
      @neutron_audio  16 дней назад +1

      If you want more bass in your sound yes :) The sub simply a tool to replace the need for destructive EQ to get a fuller sound. The Ideal situation is to get as much of the core tone that you want from the mics before you eq anything. You do this by blending them together. It has been traditionally quite difficult to achieve a really full sounding low end on some guitar speakers, and so it often needs a lot of eq added to get there. The sub solves that problem and give you a low frequency feed to blend with the other mics which can provide as much bass as you want, even on an open backed 1x12 it can sound like THUNDER! :) play with it and you will see how it works.. If you look on our channel there are 3 1hr+ videos on quantum speaker that this one was edited from, and each has an index where you can skip stright to playing examples if that is all you are interested in hearing, videos 2 & 3 have full track playthroughts. I hope that helps...
