    Two Notes is really generous with its customers here. I also got the Genome as a free software with my now quite old Torpedo Live.. Amazing. Great demo by the way.

    I stumbled across this when I was looking for someone to introduce me to this digital approach (I've just installed my first DAW and am not yet happy with the GENOME plugin). But your approach has clearly shown me where I can still tweak things. Thank you! Btw. nice flag in the background ;-) Greetings from St Pauli, Hamburg.

      @@JJOhns-fy4tl Cool! Glad you found the video useful. Also, I love Hamburg. I got the flag from the St Pauli shop in your neighborhood! My band Sanhedrin has had many memorable shows there and the people there are wonderful. You live in a great city!! Hoping to be back in 2025.

    When you click on the poweramp setting label you have access to different types of power tubes such as EL34 6L6 KT88 or EL84 and others settings as triode pentode or push-pull
    It's very cool

    Depth and contour are a bit confusing. Not exactly resonance. Depth is the impact of the contour. Contour raises the highs and lows. If it is turned down you get more mids. So if you set contour and depth to 50% it is neutral. If contour is set above 50% then you get more highs and lows and less mids in the power amp and the depth controls the intensity of the effect. I spoke to two notes to gather all this info as it is very unclear form the manuals.

    Do you have an Uad interface? How did you setup your input gain.
    I m wondering if its better to crank it or leave it as is.
    Nice playing btw

      My interface is a MOTU M4. I plugged the guitar directly into the interface input/pre and my gain knob was set to btw 8 and 9 o'clock.

    Nice video!
    My guess is that Aviator is not a Hiwatt, and most likely a bass amp ;-)
    Btw, I think you’re pushing a lot the power amp section, there are some nice sounds when less saturated but you have to push the fx out level at the bottom right to compensate.

      Thanks for watching! And thanks for the tip about the power amp section. Re: the Aviator, I think we both moght be right. A lot of bassists have used Hiwatts (The Who, Thin Lizzy). The Aviator looks, feels and reacts much like the Hiwatt I own and love. It's a very muscular amp, great for guitar or bass.

    • @djabthrash
      @djabthrash 7 месяцев назад +2

      Given the amp name and considering it's been said to be a bass amp, my initial guess was either Aguilar or Ashdown

      I just checked the TN website, and they are indeed calling it a bass amp! I'm freaked out because it looks like a Hiwatt (logo, knobs, tolex) and acts like one when I play guitar through it. It behaves very similar to my '79 DR103 in so many ways, which makes me think it's at least partially inspired by it. Whatever the case, I'm still having a blast in Genome and will be making a new video soon going over some other features I'm getting into so far @@djabthrash

    The BO Greenback is most likely a Bogner cabinet. Peggy was an Ampeg bass amp, and the Foundry bass amp is most likely a Fender Bassman or Bassman 800.

      Foundry guitar is some kind of Fender Tweed.

    Questions can I use it with my HeadRush gigboard for some different amps then the HeadRush gigboard gigboard?

    Hey, I have the same audio interface, what do you have you gain dial set to on the MOTU for your guitar input? Just curious since Two Notes hasn't said what the ideal input gain level is. Thanks!

    I actually don’t think the Aviator is a Hiwatt at all. I think it’s a Darkglass Bass amp. Aviator as in sunglasses. Doesn’t sound super Hiwatt to my ears at least. Sounds good, just not like a Hiwatt.

    • @northcountryriffworks7992
      @northcountryriffworks7992  7 месяцев назад

      Yeah, I have since had that brought to my attention. I've been playing Hiwatts for years and it fooled me. Similar muscle and gain levels. For a bass amp, I think it works great for guitar as well!
