      A new flagship hardware device that can fully interface with Genome & be able to take it with all its capabilities on the stage would be mind-blowing. Opus is great, but to have a full blown stereo device with all the pedals/post effects available as well as the amp sims/codex/IR loader would have a real shot at becoming a formidable device to compete with current modelers.

      I’d love a way to filter presets by amp. You have a ton of included presets, but it’s a workflow killer when you have to switch through them all to find your sound.

    I've been playing with genome since it officially released, huge respect to two notes for giving WoS owners a free license and porting over the IRs we own, a lot of other companies would not do that. I mostly use it like WoS for just the power amp and IRs with a Milkman Sound The Amp running direct, but it's nice to have the amp modeling and all the effects as well to give some variety. They're pretty responsive in their facebook group too if there are any issues, questions or suggestions. there are a few things I'd like added, a standalone version would be nice, maybe the ability to mix IRs in one cab and choose the position of the "speaker" (say you wanted a 4x12 with V30s and creambacks in an X pattern), and an A\B device to quickly switch between lane splits would be very helpful as well. it's also a bit of a bummer that you can only have two cabs at any time when WoS let you have four, but WoS still works and realisticlly four cabs is a bit overkill anyways.

I loaded my nam model in through codex and added all the fx and reverb. man the reverb in genome is really really nice. loving genome I've got a lot of exploring yet to do in it. but yeah im still amazed i got all my ir's n nam model with the benefits of genome. all I really need now is a pedal version that we can use nam models on with codex on a pedal board. that would be awesome

    Honestly I thought at first, I don't need another ampsim. Since then it has become my most used plugin. 😅 Love the playing feel. Love to load my favorite NAM profiles and combine them with the two notes cabs. Move the mics around instead of scrolling through IRs.
    Only thing I would criticize maybe are the presets. They are a bit like early amp modellers. Feels like they want to show everything they got with every preset. Some of those make sense if you are mixing, but for sitting in front of it with a guitar, playing it, most presets are much more fun to me if you turn off the extra stuff like compression, exciter and so on.

    • @nedim_guitar
      @nedim_guitar 4 месяца назад +1

      I've had one, it's a fine amp, but I found it kinda boring, it didn't inspire me much. I didn't like the distortion (fizzy) and I didn't like the sound of my pedalboard through it. It lacked the punch that my other tube amp had, which was a 15 W thing. Having said that, I wasn't satisfied with the fact that my other tube amp made my distortions and fuzzes sound farty; regardless of how much or how little gain I was using, it didn't sound good. So I finally just got the Boss Katana 100W MKII, but I'm only using it in panel mode, no presets or amp effects. Until I find a tube amp that's pretty transparent and that gives me the sound I'm looking for, I'll use the Katana.
      Anyway, I hope you enjoy the Marshall! It's not a bad amp.

  • @StevenMikel1

    I really like Genome but, I didn't need another ampsim. I'm not satisfied with the current guitar cabinet ir loaders that are available . I was hoping for an updated WOS when Genome came out. I would like to see an expanded version of the Dyn ir engine and the ir loader that's in Genome . I'd like to be able to use close mic and room mic ir's without having to use separate Dyn ir/ir loader blocks within Genome. I'd like to see something like the Dyn ir/ir loader engine that would have slots for 6-8 cabs/ir's and maybe the ability to send pairs of ir's too busses. Don't get me wrong, Genome is awesome and I use it every day,

    • @chocomalk
      @chocomalk 3 месяца назад +1

      The latency issue is usually one part audio interface and one part DAW settings. Check the latency on your interface as that is the lowest you can go and then go to Logic prefs and set the min latency you can until you match your interfaces latency.

    Just on the off chance anyone reading this missed the email(s), previous Two Notes customers not only can use their DynIRs in this, but get Genome for free.
    Wall Of Sound is still being sold via Plugin Boutique (cheaper than Genome), if that is (still) eligible for the Genome upgrade, then it's a great way to get into the ecosystem. Apart from that, Wall Of Sound allows you to demo DynIRs you have not yet purchased, a feature not available in Genome (at this stage).

    • @RossDaviesTwoNotes
      @RossDaviesTwoNotes 4 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for weighing in - you are indeed correct that your DynIRs will automatically port into GENOME as soon as you log into it! However, we have only given a complementary version of GENOME to Wall of Sound customers pre GENOME's public release in January 2025. Post this point, new Wall of Sound customers will not receive a complementary copy of GENOME. However, if you are a hardware customer, GENOME now comes as standard with any hardware purchase!
