    Man thanks for sharing the content , very helpful information when you don’t know anything about Sitka gear. I would have liked if you could or would specify what sizes are the top ,bottom,jackets,bibs ,pants. I’m sure everyone doesn’t have a place to go try on sika ,that’s why I’m mentioning that , but hey great video we thank you for your time and sharing the information with us all.

    Looking for a pant with room to layer under when goose hunting WI in December but also a pant that can stand up to the brush as an outer when I'm pushing bush for pheasants. (Grinder Pant?) Great video as always. Thank you.

      I'd say either the Grinder (my favorite) or the Dakota (warmer). Like I said in the video, I wouldn't count out the Work Pant either. I personally wear my Grinder's for everything upland and wish I'd had them during my formative upland years back in Michigan. Another option would be the Pantanal Pant/Bib - tough and waterproof with room to layer under.

    What size of gradient pants is that? And also what size of Dakota hoodie would you wear? I'm just now getting into sitka and am a bigger guy. Thank you

    • @toddhelms5241
      @toddhelms5241 5 лет назад +1

      I wear the XL in both. I'm 5'11" and 245 and wear size 36 jeans. I order XL's in almost all pants that aren't waist size specific and XXL in most jackets. The Dakota Hoody is roomy enough for layers in the XL for me.

    Is there a reason to buy Sitka whitetail and waterfowl systems separately? Lotta beans for Sitka.

    • @wingmen_eastmans
      @wingmen_eastmans  2 года назад +1

      If you're gun hunting for deer then the waterfowl line will pull double duty very well! The whitetail line is much quieter than the waterfowl and is the better if noise is a concern. If noise is not an issue and durability and keeping burrs at bay are then go with the waterfowl line. That said, it's nice to have both!

    Is the gradient pant warm enough under Sitka waders even though they’re unindulated

    • @toddhelms5241
      @toddhelms5241 5 лет назад

      Yessir! The Gradient pant is perfect under the Delta Waders. In fact it was a rare day when it was cold enough to need anything but the Gradient under the waders. However, if you feel like you need more, the heavyweight core pants work very well but it's got to be extremely cold to need that combo, think single digits or below zero. Of course figuring out what works best for you is the best way to go as I run hot and don't need much for clothing most days.

    How does the heavyweight hoody hold up to rain?

    • @toddhelms5241
      @toddhelms5241 5 лет назад

      It is intended as an insulating layer and needs to be kept covered in inclement weather.
