- The best time to get out is when the conditions are the worst. Staying warm and dry is essential, and the best way to accomplish that is by building a proper layering. Jim Saubier is the Waterfowl Product Specialist at SITKA GEAR, and here he breaks down the entire line and how to use them in the field.

Excellent video! I was given a Duck Oven jacket and Pantanal Gloves as a Christmas present from my sister and brother in law several years ago. I've been building my Sitka system ever since for duck hunting. Extremely happy with the performance of all the pieces. Dakota Hoodie, Neck Gaiter, Duck Oven, Heavy Weight Hoodie, Core Midweight, Merino Heavyweight, and Gradient Pant. I built this system slowly over four years adding a few pieces at a time as I parted ways with my old cotton clothes.
Thanks for watching!
I got the traverse jacket, i love it. Only missing a couple of things from the sitka line, just missing a wading jacket.
I really like sitkagear…….base layer its important for all hunts !

What do you recommend i wear over my dakota for waterproofing and warmth all season
Hey Jim's my cousin. Tell him he's looking good and sounding smart :)
Will do! 😂
Looking at your gear what should I get to shoot geese and duck in a hide or in a ditch will I able to buy this product in Great Britain
When layering do you need to go up in sizes?? If I wear a medium do I need to go up in size when stacking jackets??
No, most people don't. Sitka builds and designs them to be layered and takes that into account.
Does the neck gator fit big I’ve seen some vid and pictures where it looks like it fit a little big but I was able to try one on at a store and it fit perfect should’ve got it but didn’t now I’m scared to order one because I don’t want it to fit big like it to fit just like the one I tried on
They should all fit just like the one you tried on.
@@BlackOvis Thank you it’s 1000% very useful piece just wanted to make sure I get what I pay for it
great product why is it not made in the USA
It's hard to keep up with the demand of american made products, plus there's always a price tag that has to be considered with USA made products.
When will I be able to get waders in a 3X/13 wader!? Lol
