Navien NCB-240/110H combination heating boiler & Tankless water heater.

Our client in Chelmsford MA had an old 80% natural gas cast iron boiler that was over 30 years old and was actively leaking and rotted. The client decided to upgrade to a Navien NCB-240/110H 95% efficient 2 zone combination heating boiler and tankless water heater. We could not vent into the existing terracotta chimney flue. We ran a dura-Vent Massachusetts approved Poly condensing chimney liner down through the flue for the Navien venting needs. We also discovered that the incoming water pressure to the home was extremely high. 120PSI. We had to add a water pressure regulation valve to the water main coming in to the home. We also added Navien required water filtration. We installed a 90 Micron stainless steel flushable sediment pre-filter. Then a second stage Aqua-Pure 904 water filter with a American filter that removes 5 micron sediment, carbon block to remove odors like chlorine and sulfur as well as a corrosion and scale inhibitor to protect the plumbing and the tankless water heater. #navien #aqua-pure water filter.
