This experience. The idea that you can have favorite places, that you have an attachment to them. Just for the places they are, not for some scripted event. That's what makes this game so special.
You have a good sense of the beautiful loneliness of botw and I feel like you highlighted some really good spots that really show that. Another spot I love in this game is the southern shoreline just west of lurelin. It's kinda desolate but relaxing. I'm glad you made this video and if you made more videos in this style, I'd love to watch them :)
Botw was my 2nd Zelda game but in my heart it's my first, because I never finished tp as a kid. I have comments about each spot, in order (bc ofc I do): • I did actually know where the first shrine was!! Because that part of the region is one of my favorite areas in the game! • I also like the one little pond on the path to Rito Village. I always forage along that path. • That's actually one of my favorite goddess statues too!! I would specifically go to that one when I needed one. • I think Mazli actually goes under that gazebo if it's raining? • When I was bored, I'd ride my horse and travel to towns from Link's house as a starting point. I would always make my first stop the Fort Hateno hut. • I think we both just love cabins in the middle of nowhere. There's also another snowy one that I love to visit, though Idr it's precise location off the top of my head. • I haven't heard anyone mention Bravely Default in YEARS, that hit me outta nowhere LOL. I should finish that game. • I'll never understand why we didn't get Cass in totk.... I always think of him being by the Gerudo stable for some reason. • I was actually waiting for you to mention this spot!! It's one of the most memorable spots in the game for me too, although I don't know why. Maybe it's the nearby memory. • I'll never forget the corrupted Naydra theme. Now that was a chilling experience. Pun not intended. Conclusion: We share a lot of favorite spots!! Thank you for the calming video, this brightened my morning after having a not-so-good start to my day! I love how magical this game is to so many people.
Thank you for such a sweet comment!! 😭😭 im so glad my silly little video made your day even just a little bit better. I love that pond too! It makes me think of the TOTK side quest where you have to get fish for that girl lol. Bird bro going under the gazebo when its raining is the best detail ive ever heard about this game thank u for telling me omg I also used to ride my horse around to towns, it’s so comforting SHOUTOUT BRAVELY DEFAULT FAN 🎉🎉🎉 Omg i forgot about the corrupted naydra song, that shit was so sad We do share so many similar experiences and favourite spots!! Im so glad to know that so many of us play this game in similar ways. I hope the rest of ur week goes well 🫶🫶
Breath of the Wild was also my first Legend of Zelda game. I didn't want to play it first, and it took me a bit to warm up to it. It took me nearly a year before I finished it, mostly because I was afraid of the enemies, and mostly because I really enjoyed the exploration part. I loved this world so much, and it was quite unlike any video game I've played before. I'm enjoying Tears of the Kingdom as well, but somehow BotW was amazing. I would love a game set here featuring the characters just going around, exploring and rebuilding Hyrule. No more enemies, lol.
I totally agree- i personally prefer TOTK as a game, cause i prefer the abilities, weapon system, general gameplay etc. But the experience of BOTW is so unlike anything else. I prefer PLAYING TOTK, but BOTW will always be my favourite in my heart.
@@stevendemayo3631 I'm a fairly new LoZ gamer (though I have shipped ZeLink thanks to the cartoons lol), but I learned through the 4 games I've played is that there's no post game change when you finish. It's extra frustrating for me with TotK after being immersed in the game for so long. I just want to see them really close out their story, but I get that it may not be Nintendo's thing for the game.

As someone who has been a Zelda fan for decades, your suggestion at the end would make my entire life
