Beautiful cat! I’m glad they handled it the way they did-warned the neighbors but left it alone to go back to its territory
Me too. They deserve to live!
Encroachment into wildlife areas? Did wildlife sell its habitat away? Bless the day that this beauty rests in your neighborhood tree. If you don't like it, you can move to downtown.
their habitat is being stolen by humans... where to go back?
I agree-----only he's not an it. Animals, like humans, are hes and shes. The way I learned it in school, "she" is to be used exclusively for females, but "he" can be used for males, or unknown or both genders. So when you don't know the gender of a person or animal, use "he", or go to the trouble to say "he or she". Thanks for respecting our animal friends by not referring to them as "it".

If you’re on lion’s land, you need to take those precautions to protect your toddler. After all, mountain lions will take any meal that they think is easy. You don’t want to leave your two year old out of sight.
A mountain lion in Los Angeles shouldn’t shock anybody. It is estimated that around 100 live in the Santa Monica mountains near Los Angeles. The most famous mountain lion that lived in L.A. probably was P-22. He lived in Griffith Park and was caught on a trail cam picture with the Hollywood sign in the background. He lived for 12 years in the area. Biologists treated him for mange once. He lived a solitary life. Outdoor cameras would occasionally catch him on his rounds. And he did once break into the L.A. Zoo and eat a koala bear. But for the most part, he flew under the radar.
Steve, this sounds like Mufasa from the Lion king in hollywood. your storytelling is hilarious.
That Koala had it coming.
I lived just below Griffith Park and I remember this mountain lion being in Griffith Park.

Wow... That was suuuch an American answer! Here in Europe, no one would even begin to think that someone would simply shoot this big cat...
The homeowner is female.
@@melchiorvonsternberg844 Your answer is a bit confusing probably because English isn't your first language. Did you mean that here in Europe someone would simply shoot the animal, or that here in Europe nobody would think of shooting the animal?
@@melchiorvonsternberg844Do you have any lethal predator cats in Europe? It's all well and good to leave the cougar alone, or get a professional to run the cat off with some trained dogs, but know that that cat poses a risk. People in the US have been killed by cougars while out jogging, for example.
@@TangSooTerp Well... There used to be lions in Europe. But the largest big cats still living in the wild are lynxes. They can actually only be dangerous to you if they surprise you in a weakened state or suffer from an illness such as rabies. However, lynxes are inherently very shy animals and clearly avoid people. You will practically never see one. A significantly greater danger are bears and wolves, which have recently spread from the east to Germany. West of the Rhine, however, wolves only live in the Pyrenees. Most of the large creatures that could pose a deadly threat to humans were eradicated long ago. Of course, this does not apply to snakes, scorpions and the like. However, their distribution is limited to the warm southern European regions. North of the Alps and east of the Rhine, there are almost no dangerous snakes. In Germany, for example, there are only two species of poisonous snakes. And one of them only lives in the extreme southwest of the country, where it is warmest. And these aspis vipers were introduced by the Romans. In the part of Eastern Europe, north of Hungary, there are almost no snakes due to the cold winters...
Personally, I think the danger posed by an angry boar or an annoyed badger is significantly higher than anything else. You should also expect raccoons...
Glad they gave him time to come down and get to his home! ❤❤❤
That was very fair...!
Wow, assuming the lion's gender!!!!
@@TheLast-Oneit’s a trans mountain lion
Wait. But he is home.
@@TheLast-One Better than referring to the mountain lion as an “it”. I would rather assume the lion’s gender than refer to him/her as an “it”. Animals are not things. They are thinking, feeling, living, and breathing beings who value their lives and have genders just like we do. That’s why the pronouns “he”, “she”, or even “they” are more appropriate to use for animals than “it”.
