The 1840s-1890s is my favorite era for movies. Its when people were struggling and toiling, but somehow more free then we are now. I mean I would never want to live then, just watch movies from that time period

@trenttrip6205 lol, yeah, some people weren't at all free, and that's awful. I am just referring to books and movies like Huck Finn, Tom sawyer, Blood Meridian, True Grit, Unforgivin, Tombstone. Not like specific scars in American History like Chattle slavery or the trail of Tears, or Bear Creek Massacre.

this trailer makes me wishing for Red Dead Redemption 3
It almost feels like the Yellowstone universe has expanded to a cinematic story even though its not connected to it. This feels more close to 1823 miniseries with the incredible backdrop.
Is it me or does he have quite a few actors from yellowstone in this movie

What a great cast. It looks epic and amazing. But Kevin, please don't screw this up like The Postman. And don't make it too woke. Even if its marginally great like Open Range, thats good enough for me. But we already have the greatest woke Western ever made in Dances With Wolves.

I don't know. The cinematography and production values seem good but the story seems cliche. And Costner does yet another version of the same - a stoic tough guy with a soft heart.
I would love to see a western where Costner has adhd, is a wimp, and is cold hearted.
