Thank you so much! After fighting with my machine for hours, I found your posting. It took just a few minutes to find the tiny wad of thread that was causing my problem. I was able to relieve the tension in my machine, and in me! Thank you!
Glad I ran across this video. Could you please do one for removing the next cover over the take up lever to ck for frayed thread in the spring? That is where mine hangs up a lot, then snapping the cover back on correctly?
we can pass along this request. In the meantime, please connect with our consumer support hotline: 1-800-313-4110 or email at productsupport@babylock.com.
From Doug: Unfortunately, the only way to remove the take up lever, is to take away the front panel. We would only advise you taking the machine into your qualified, technician, as many other covers have to come away first.
Could you please do cleaning and repair videos on Babylock Elizabeth? My machine is discontinued but I love it. I had to take it in because it had a really loud squeaking 😢 my needle threader isn’t working anymore either. Would love to know how to take the head off my BL Elizabeth and oil and clean it. Thank you! Your video’s are very informative and helpful.
"maintaining your machine from home". What and where is this? I have a machine like the one in the video and wondering how to get into the area below the feed dogs as you mentioned. Please help.
I have no techs where I live. None in the entire country. I need the front cover off to clean a white mold on the inside of the computer display window (Esante). I took off the post (stationary one for the bobbin winder and can’t get it back on… HELP!). Have not had success removing front cover either. I love this machine, I will not be buying any other so I sure hope someone can help me on these issues. I sure would like to read the programs.

Yes, Doug I have a baby lock CJ 18 Quilting machine. I have no way to tighten down the hand wheel. Do you have any suggestions?
You should be able to tighten the Handwheel, while holding it tight, the turn the Allen screw in the center clockwise
Is it OK to vacuum the fuzz out?
It sure is Judy, but you have to be careful with the placement of the vacuum tips.
