As a Joola player and distributor this paddle is a home run for all level men and women. Power, pop and control all in one beautiful design. I can’t wait to play with it today. Good job Joola!!!
Love my gen3 glad they came out with this one. Control my flavor
Top tier paddle in my eyes….definitely would like one of these for the bag….thanks for the great review…..👍
Thanks for the review, I've been wondering about this one! I definitely prefer a power paddle.
I’ve been playing pickleball for just over a couple of months now, I had a background with tennis. And honesty joola is the best paddle for me, I feel like it’s the perfect combination between control and power.
Played with a friend yesterday and tried it. Insanely good power paddle.
As someone who’s only played for a few months at this point, I’ve leaned towards control paddles to help dial in my game a bit. As I get better though I’m certainly becoming a bit more interested in power paddles or at least something more all-court. This is such a clean looking paddle and something I could absolutely not justify spending that much money on… so thank you for the giveaway opportunity! Keep up the good concise reviews :)
Liked and subbed!
I’ve got one and love it. I think it plays VERY similar to the Gen 3
I prefer power paddles as I find I can always loosen up to get more touch and control, but you can only swing so hard if you have a control paddle. Power paddle gives you the best of both 😊
Hi Justin, great review on the new Joola paddle. I’m glad I saw your video because you explained how the paddle plays really well. I’m looking for the perfect paddle for me and this may be the one. The fact that this paddle has power and plushness when you need it sounds like it’s a homerun. Good luck on your channel and keep on making great videos for all us pickleballers.
Brand new to the game! Learning that I need more power over control
The 16mm is a good balance of contol with power. I like to be able to dial it in when i need to and have enough power for a putaway up at the net... joola did a great job with the specs of this paddle, and the 14mm... I prefer a 16mm paddle for overall play but i wouldnt sleep on the 14mm either... I like the black/white look better, has a classy/clean look to it... pretty 🤩
This paddle is THE all court paddle. Control and power on the 16mm is the GOAT. And the simplicity of it is not so bad either. 😂
I prefer power paddles cuz lots of people cant stop hard drives and I can get used to any paddle for dinking
That only gets you past the 3.5 level. At 4.0 level and above everyone knows how to block drives
@@HHHPedigrees one of the biggest lies right now. Professionals are making more mistakes off hard drives than ever before. Check the numbers. Sadly, drives are the winning way and trending more that way.
@@HHHPedigrees Block yes, hit an offensive shot or difficult to reach counter off a Mod? Much less likely than against anything other than a Gearbox Pro Power
This paddle looks so good!!
Currently using Selkirk but several friends really enjoy the Joola so looking to try one. Watched several players use the new paddle this past weekend, definitely has a distinct sound on contact.
I'm most often interested in control, but super curious how this one plays. Thanks for the giveaway!
Power is the only wa to go. This sport is growing in part because pro players from tennis, paddle tennis, table tennis and other paddle games are coming in. Non of hte paddle games are about dinking.... Power is my style! Thx for a review, no nonsense, shor t and to the point!
I like all court so I guess mix of power and control because I prefer to be able to adjust to however my opponent is playing and counter them
I feel like control paddles are the way to go, great review!
I prefer a power paddle because you can always learn to have more control with a power paddle. Once you get used to the pop and power you can get a feel for how you can get better control based off your grip and the use of the paddle.
I currently own a Friday paddle as a beginner paddle. I got to demo the Perseus paddle and it felt so much...lighter on swings even though both paddles look and weight similar. I did not have to use lot of power on my swings and the paddle does a better job absorbing ball impact than the Friday so my shoulder was happier. It just felt nice using it and would like to get one or similar in the future when I can afford one.
Definitely prefer power paddles! Touch can come with time!
Keep up the good work!! Hoping to win this giveaway!! 🙏
I'm currently playing with an all around / control paddle Thrive Azul but would love something with a little more pop and power! Mod TA-15 would definitely fit those needs I feel! Great review! Keep it up.
I'm a combo of control and power, so this sounds awesome!
Power all the time. I play the 14mm at 9.3 oz with lead tape . The weight gives me control. The Mod TA becomes a control paddle with great power. Just got to be strong enough to handle the extra weight. You get the best of both worlds!
I prefer power paddles, and will be interested to see how the TA-15 compares to the Perseus Gen 3 model. Thanks for the review.
I prefer power paddles because that's the current trend. Can always dial in the control or hit softer.
Great review, gonna have to try one now.
Thanks for the review! Power paddles for the win!🎉
Paddle looks awesome!
Control paddles such as the luxx, but definitely want to test play this paddle!
I had the perseus 16mm but i raged and broke it but it was the one before the gen 3 so idk what the difference is but love this channel now!
Just bought the 14mm version of this paddle last week. I’m a little conflicted with it. On one hand it plays like a tennis racket and I’ve never hit such pinpoint drives, serves and rolling shots as I can with the Mod. On the other hand I hit so hard with it with so little effort that it causes worry. I hold back on the power against intermediates and lower level players but I doubt most people do that have Mods.
Prefer control paddle, did not play with Joola paddle yet, would be interested to try this one!
Power paddle for sure. Loved my Gen 3 and hope this is a replacement for it.
I preferred power! I would love to try this paddle out
I like both, although I am inclined towards control.
I’ve been loving more control recently. Easy resets and I’ve been able to stay in dinking rally’s longer ending up in better scoring opportunities from the kitchen line. I’ll be going with the 16mm anyway
Just heard they came out with this, sounds like a great paddle, just hope they can get everything ironed out
I think I prefer control paddles. I love some good resets and drop shots, and just overall control of the game
Thanks for review. Prefer a power paddle.
How would you compare the 14mm vs 16mm?
I do prefer power paddles since I do tend to try and hit harder shots but I do need some control when dinking at the net.
As a recent convert from tennis into pickleball I am leaning towards control as I feel I can generate power when needed.
Started using this paddle - it’s perfect lol buy it
Liked the design of the OOLA Mod TA-15
I prefer power padel sir as i can learn to give it that much lesser power for resets and dinks
I prefer control paddles! Thanks for the review
I’ve been leaning more towards all court paddles lately but I always like to have a little more power.
I prefer a power paddle. I currently play with the Gearbox Power Pro Elongated. Would love to try this Joola to see how they compare.
Nice vid would be interesting to see them release a control version
Power paddle 💪🏻
Power for sure I currently use a Pursuit Pro MX 6.0 I have it weighted up with 18 grams from the throat up and a .5 gram Slyce cap. I think with the weight added, it's similar power to a gearbox with a lot more control. I'm still on wait and see mode with the MOD TA, but I think with it, I can get similar results with less weight improving handspeed.
What are other paddles with rounded handles? That is exactly what I’m looking for! (but buying this with Joola’s recent history it too risky for me currently)
I like power paddles WITH control
Power paddle for sure. Hope we can play with Gen 3 again.
Nice review! Power and control are a good combo for me and one of the reasons I've stuck with Joola paddles! But would you want to get rid of the Alpha you have on the wall???
Like the power paddles
I’m not really sure which I prefer as i’ve only ever really used a control paddle. I’ve always just heard power paddles are harder to use so used control while I build my fundamentals. If this paddle has a good mix maybe it’ll be my first one I try.
Federico Staksrud got me wanting a Mod TA-15!
Control all the way first and then power after was my thought. But after seeing everyone with gen3 paddles basically one up those that don’t have.. it seems that now your equipment is a big factor now.
control paddle for life 🥰hope the mod TA-15 can do control better than gen 3
Control paddles fs. I like the thicker 16mm paddles because while you have enough for power, you have plenty of control!
For my playing style it is a toss up because I have been playing with a vanguard so it is very powerful, but I want to try the Mod ta-15 because I heard it is powerful, but also has control and does not immediately bounce off.
I prefer control over power paddles bc I feel like I’m decent at generating my own power. So i like being able to dial in my shot with control paddles bc I have more feel.
As someone who only started playing 3 months ago, i've preferred control, but now trying to transition to power
I prefer power paddles. Fits my style of play and hand speed does not suffer.
I think a paddle that has good attributes of having good control and good power or what’s gonna make a better all-around paddle but in my experience so far I like a good power paddle
Thanks for the video. Since you reviewed both, how would you compare the Mod to the gearbox ultimate?
I like the combination of power and control
What do you think about this paddle vs the Gearbox Pro Ultimate? Would love to know your thoughts!
The biggest difference is the Mod TA-15 has more dwell time and it is easier to shape the direction of the ball, especially with top spin. The ball comes off the Pro Ultimate a lot faster so you have to be really quick with getting top spin on the ball or risk it going out. Pro Ultimate definitely is more of a straight up power paddle where as the Mod has is more dynamic especially for the soft game. Other than that for me I prefer the Mod because I'm not a fan of Gearbox's thinner handles (4inch circumference whereas most 16mm paddles are 4.25 inch)
power paddle for sure
Would love to try one of these new power paddles and give it a run for its money on the court. 🏓
if i had to choose i think i would go with a power paddle because drives is where i have the most fun
I prefer POWER paddle. I can figure out how to use control on them it makes put aways easy!
Hopes it’s better than a gen 2
I’ve been playing with a J2K control paddle, interested in how the MOD TA-15 compares, especially with the longer handle.
Sweet, good review
Loved my gen 3, hope this is anywhere close to that.
I love Joola and I have a gen3, Prefer power over control. It is not that difficult to control when one knows how to maneuver the paddle,
I gotta go with power over control. Even though control paddles help me have more consistent drops/dinks, my play style is more about manipulating my wrist and putting a ball away with the leaner power paddles
hope this paddle will not be ban again.. i love gen 3 paddle and i cant find any similar paddle.. that why im so excited bout this ta 15..
I prefer a power paddle because I can always tune in my dinking, but playing with a control paddle I can’t get the speed on the drives as I want to
Prefer a power paddle, this is one I would like to win!
I prefer a paddle with both power and control. I feel as though this paddle encapsulates this all court style of play that I am looking for.
I have the magnus gen 3, is the bantam tko-c a good option or should I go for the mod ta 15? I just like elongated paddles and the mod ta 15 is not elongated. Nice video dude🫡
So the Bantam TKO-C is actually the same shape as the Perseus. I think if you are looking for something more similar to the Magnus you should look at the Gearbox Pro Ultimate. The handle is sightly longer but the face is longer than the Perseus face.
I prefer power paddles. Currently using J7K/J7K Pro and love the elongated shaped compared to J2K
i like control paddles so my kitchen game is consistent
Difference between 16/14mm? More control with one?
With the Gen 3 tech a lot of time 16mm will hit the ball farther but 14mm will have more pop.
I prefer power paddles as I am on the older side and need all the help I can get with my drives.
Definitely power
I prefer the power paddle since control side can improve by your skills
Would love a 14mm for the giveaway but 16mm is awesome too!
Still good spin?
I prefer all court paddles that’s why I liked the gen 3 so much
I prefer the 16mm control paddle.
Obviously I like a paddle with both but control is a little more important to me.
I am just getting into pickleball and I am not good at dinking yet that's why I prefer a power paddle because I can beat similar skilled players before we get to the dink battle
Power all the way.
All court / Control paddle for me
