Dear Ben, I am a Japanese woman living in Australia. Due to my husband's work, we moved from the east coast of Australia to the inland area on the west side of the country. Even in this inconvenient place, I was able to keep going, drawing courage every day from seeing Shohei working hard in America. You have always supported Shohei since he was still not recognized in America and it was difficult. I am truly grateful to you. Shohei is not my son, but he is as important to me as my son who lives on the east coast, so thank you for continuing to support him.
Awesome ride throughout the season I had as a steady viewer of the channel! Thank you sincerely for all the work and that goes for all the people we don't see on screen especially. You accomplished making us apart of it 🎉
Ben Verlander, the most honest and unbiased podcaster, knows what he talking about, analyzes to pinpoint precision about present situations, great train of thoughts and logic, and most importantly, cool, calm, collective, intelligent, humorous and handsome, unlike SAS or Michael Kay who goes on rages as if the one who shouts louder wins every debate. Ben Verlander, the GOAT podcaster. You should be on National TV! And where’s that charming lady partner of yours, she makes the show more interesting although I feel she’s a lesser Ohtani supporter and more Lindor lover….
I really love your show and everyone is entitled to their opinion. That said back in the day good pitching is a great show. SO Yamamoto allowing only one hit to yakees over 6 innings another amazing game, too. His curve and sprit falling both ways with 95 - 7 miles per hour fast ball is another amazing show. Again im not saying your opinion is good or bad. Thats my two cents (and i agree with everything else). I love your passion and always enjoy your comment every time.
Ohtani still impacted the game post injury because Yankees had to bring in new relievers to face him and was a psychological boost for his teammates and dread for Boone.
love this post....waiting the whole year for this...!we love you too....!Ben...Teoscar and Edmann ...!!what a great year for Teo...and my God..Tommy Tank...is the mother of all last minute acquisition...!
It's crazy how you were saying that Freddie was going through all that pain, etc, but it turns out... it was so much worse than everyone thought. Freddie is a warrior
Ohtani was hugely responsible for this championship. He carried the team for months. He was responsible for bringing over Yamamoto, Glasnow and Hernandez by deferring so much of the money on his contract. And now, Roki Sasaki will want to come play with his countrymen and a proven championship team.
Ohtani and Babe Ruth hit 176 home runs in 725 games. Ohtani: 481 innings pitched with a 38-19 record. Babe: 481 innings pitched with a 37-19 record. Babe moved from Boston to New York. Ohtani moved from Anaheim to Los Angeles. The year after their transfers, both focused solely on batting. Each won the home run title with 54 home runs. They must be reincarnations of each other.
Ben is always so quick to cover games and leaves comments that I want to hear in a very organized manner. Hey Ben, come to Japan and feel how Japanese people love and respect Shohei no matter where you go. Wouldn't it be nice if I could spend my time with Ben at an Izakaya or Japanese-style bar to talk about the MLB all night long!!!
Great recap! This Dodgers team is a Dynasty! Sign Teoscar. Stay healthy guys! I say 10/10 Post season appearances! I love this team. Great men. Great baseball players!
100% agree on Cole not covering first. Anyone blaming Rizzo is simply blinded by Cole’s stellar pitching performance up to that point. It’s absolutely Cole’s responsibility to cover first. That’s a basic fundamental that a player learns starting at age 13 or younger. Not enough people are talking about the crazy spin on the cue-shot by Mookie that had the ball ultimately spinning toward 2nd base. Rizzo trying to charge that ball could lead to booting it. If Cole does his job, inning over.
Hello, my beloved Ben-san. Baseball is a sport. When two teams are equally matched, the outcome depends on factors other than skill, such as the weather, mental pressure, physical factors, and luck. That's why I think sports are fun.
Shohei was not so good in the World Series, but he was undoubtedly one of the driving forces behind the Dodgers' wins throughout the regular season and postseason. Congrats!
Congratulations to the World Champion LA Dodgers. And they did it without a healthy Shohei Ohtani. Freddie Freeman was otherworldly. Dave Roberts did an outstanding managerial job with a starting pitching staff that was shorthanded. And they figure to be even better next year with Tyler Glasnow, Dustin May, and Clayton Kershaw back. As for the Yankees, in spite of them being a World Series team, they are a fundamentally unsound one. The fifth inning turned out to be their undoing, but really throughout much of series and the regular season/AL playoffs before that, they were plagued by baserunning blunders and defensive lapses. Don't know where they go from here. Do they bring back Juan Soto $$$ or for that matter does he want to come back?
I was realy realy disappointed at Yankees in game5, including of course fifth ininng. I wanted them to create a lot of chaos, turn this situatios, playing until game7.
Comparing Shohei’s numbers to Judge’s is dumb just based off the simple fact that this is Ohtani’s FIRST POSTSEASON sure judge was better in the WS but why are we trying to compare a guy in his 7th postseason to a guy in his first
Ohtani didn’t bring out his real playing ability for WS because of his injury, however it is not too much to say that the player who led throughout this year to NL championship victory is obviously Ohtani. Next year, he will pitch in addition to batting, two-way. I think he will win 15 games as pitcher, and 50-30(SB) as batter. Ben, please come to Japan again.
Ben, is it possible that Cole thinks he can't beat mookie to the bag? I know he had to at least try.. But maybe that's what he was thinking.. He can't make it in time anyway
yankees flat out choked. best a.l. record, rammed thru the a.l. playoffs. and they get whipped by a team with no starting rotation in 5. as a nationals and angels fan i now have to suffer for the next 4 fkn months until spring training . yeah, yanks can't catch or throw a baseball to save their lives!
not gonna lie, i kinda wanted the crew to finish it out in LA but i'm happy they put it away before any more of them got injured. nice work @BenVerlander! 👍

Congratulations Dodgers, Congratulations Shohei, Congratulations World Series2024 Los Angeles Dodgers🎉🎉🎉
Congrats to Shohei 💙🦄🤴🍾👍🎉🏆💪
Shohei won the championship in the World Series next to a WBC. Is he a main character of a movie or the animation? Unbelievable.
good point
Tell Alex she was right!! She predicted Dodgers over Yankees!!!

Freeman is the WS MVP. Ohtani is the NL MVP. Ohtani is the Dodgers MVP because he defer is contract so the team can add players to help this team.
You right 100%. Every one forgot shohei ohtani.
we believe in doc Roberts & the dodgers …we believe in destiny …& ohtani was destined to win the World Series …no other way to explain it
His 1 dream come true this year
It’s a classic 5555 game. Trailed by 5 runs, came back 5 runs, in the 5th inning on game 5 of world series.
And freddie is #5
ワールドシリーズは脇役だった大谷。来年こそ二刀流で、ワールドシリーズの主役になるために戻ってくる
Ohtani still impacted the game post injury because Yankees had to bring in new relievers to face him and was a psychological boost for his teammates and dread for Boone.
Congrats Shohei🎉, Ben and all of Shohei's fans on this globe🙌🙌🙌 Looking forward to NL-MVP award for Shohei🏆✨

Dodgers have the makings of a dynasty for years to come. 4 or 5 more titles in the next decade
Looking forward to seeing you in a studio again

Without Shohei Dodgers couldn’t have won the World Series all the way this year!
Who can play baseball better than Shohei Ohtani?
Thank you!! Love hearing all of your takes and I’ll enjoy any and all Dodgers content forever! Go BLUE 💙

Before Shohei, Dodger is 0 for 10 years. After Shohei 1 of 1. Look at the numbers 🤣
Great recap! This Dodgers team is a Dynasty! Sign Teoscar. Stay healthy guys! I say 10/10 Post season appearances! I love this team. Great men. Great baseball players!
ohtani and yamamoto make success
Hey Ben, the LA Dodgers were inevitable this year !!!!!!!!! WS Champs !!
That 5th inning was bananas! 🍌 and I ❤ it!!😊
Spot on Ben. Shohei was not right after game 2. He's the GOAT.
Soto needs deferrals if he signs with Yankees so they can build a better team. Shohei’s contract was the key for this year and years to come.
Excelente análisis!!!
Reconocimiento especial a Dave Roberts! Ahora sí lo hizo genial 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Freeman is 36 so they need to win as many WS’s in the next 3 years with their core MVPs
やってるね!🎉

I think Shohei got voodooed just before the WS. But the curse kind of backfired on NY Yankees.
Woohoo!🎊⚾ WE WON!
Congratulations to the World Champion LA Dodgers. And they did it without a healthy Shohei Ohtani. Freddie Freeman was otherworldly. Come to think that games 1 and 5 were NYY's nearly until the end, it would not be surprising if the series remained 3-2 for NYY by now.
I was realy realy disappointed at Yankees in game5, including of course fifth ininng.
I wanted them to create a lot of chaos, turn this situatios, playing until game7.
Freddie Freeman honestly caught that Patrick Mahomes momentum with the bum ankle and went berserk period
Actually I have a question for you is Dave Roberts now a hall of fame manager, or does he need one more ring?
Comparing Shohei’s numbers to Judge’s is dumb just based off the simple fact that this is Ohtani’s FIRST POSTSEASON sure judge was better in the WS but why are we trying to compare a guy in his 7th postseason to a guy in his first
Ben is exactly right. Garret Cole is a lazy mother. Cole isn't in the same ballpark as a pitcher with Ben's Brother.
💙👍🏻💙👍🏻💙👍🏻
So is it Walker Bumgarner Buehler now?
Ohtani didn’t bring out his real playing ability for WS because of his injury, however it is not too much to say that the player who led throughout this year to NL championship

what happened at 5th inning would be studied for years of what not to do at baseball games
Ben, is it possible that Cole thinks he can't beat mookie to the bag? I know he had to at least try.. But maybe that's what he was thinking.. He can't make it in time anyway
Kinda crazy the only major award ohtani needs is cy young and world series mvp maybe gold globe but is it really important that to a pitcher?
I miss you and Alex
And to think you didn’t have us making it past the NLDS smh
Let your brother join LA Dodgers.😂
yankees flat out choked. best a.l. record, rammed thru the a.l. playoffs. and they get whipped by a team with no starting rotation in 5. as a nationals and angels fan i now have to suffer for the next 4 fkn months until spring training . yeah, yanks can't catch or throw a baseball to save their lives!
Can really say Yankees choked because the Dodgers has the best MLB record this year, number 1 seed coming into the postseason.
@@etadaking 3 errors in one inning = choke. Add a balk and catcher's interference.
not gonna lie, i kinda wanted the crew to finish it out in LA but i'm happy they put it away before any more of them got injured. nice work @BenVerlander! 👍
