Especially he can play multiple positions. He's not going anywhere. Edman is the type of player Robert's loves. He can move in different positions and bat 5-9 and a switch hitter. She's on crack!
I usually think Alanna has good opinions, but trading Muncy and Edman for Arenado makes us worse not better. He’ll be 36 next year and coming off of back to back mediocre seasons.
Alana definitely doesn't know what the hell she's talking about! Trade Edman? Edman is one of the players that can actually produce in the playoffs and Arenado will NOT be traded. Get rid of Taylor, Lux,
Alana asking who will be Shortstop for the future..you have Edman already.who shes trying to suggest to trade..dude can play multiple positions good defense switch hitter can put the ball in play..also probably be less money to keep..
Lux is a roadblock to Mookie playing 2nd plus he can't hit lefties. Trade Lux to the Brewers for Devin Williams. Lux can go back home, Dodgers get a high end reliever. Win Win
Doesn’t skubal have 4 years of control? Would be an empty the prospects type of trade to Detroit for them to even think of rebuilding again when they just made playoffs.
This right here. Dodgers need another left handed starter. Buehler is staying on a friendly deal. I also like the idea of calling about Luis Robert if Edman plays at SS and Mookie plays 2nd.
wtf Alana is smoked out. Why would the dodgers get Arenado when he's washed? Muncy is cheap and signed for one more year. Arenado has 3 years left at a high cost.
Thank God that you guys are not running the Dodgers. Our own players are as good if not better than all the proposed new players/trades. The money used for those players can get us some good starting pitchers in the market, so we won't have to punt games away, like Game 4 of World Series.
@@daverice7855That's a legit question. It's because of the way he pitched in the playoffs in his last three outings. He seems to have figured out how to still pitch in a dominating fashion. Given the new limitations he has to work with. I'm still not sure that he will be able to pitch that way during the regular season, but I am confident that this guy is just different when it comes to the playoffs when the Dodgers will need him most. I certainly don't want them to overpay for him, but if they can get him on a 2-year deal for about 30 to 35 million, I think he would be worth it.
Edman can be above league average shortstop second or center and his bat shows out when we need it !. Not wanting to let Edman go … 😂 all others you mentioned I’m good with 💯just a big no to Edman
If you're gonna trade away Max Muncy AND Tommy Edman, you'd better get some serious hotshot in return. Arenado ain't that guy. Not anymore. Not at age 34.
They should be in on Crochet instead of Fried. It's time to start unloading some of our older prospects who unfortunately will never get a fair shot here.
Pitching staff-Starters----Yamamotto--Sasaki--Glasnow--Freed--Buehlor--Gonsolin-6 man rotation-Kershaw & Ohtani wont be ready until May-Possibly trade for Croshette--Bullpen---Blake--Phillips--Vesia--Bando--Kopech--May-Ryan-Kenley Jansen--alotta maybes--
Santander?? Is everyone forgetting about Pages?? He is clearly going to be our starting right fielder since they announced today that Mookie is going back to the infield. Teo, Edman and Pages will be our outfield. If we do sifn or trade for any position players, it will be Willy Adames at SS and Mookie at 2nd.
The season doesnt have to be so long…they can easily shave off a month. Players should get to the playoffs healthy not hurt. But i get it, business is business and money is most important.
Yea Max Muncy isn’t going anywhere and Edman is a guy the Dodgers wanted forever so I doubt they trade him. Nobody will touch Chris Taylor for obvious reasons but maybe the Dodgers can eat alot of his contract and free up a spot?
Make the roster crunch/space by trading CT3, Grove, Gonsolin, Cartaya, Frasso, Logue, Brogdon, Knack, maybe Lux, with some of the prospects who are wastedly (if that's a word) ageing in the minors. Targeting: Crochet might be a good idea, Tucker (the only astro I can stomach), Josh Smith or Ryan McMahon. This way the open 7-8 40-man roster spaces plus they clear the path in the minors while getting good-elite younger players. And can have space to re-sign Teo, Ferris, Blake and Kiké in addition to FA: for Max Fried, Tanner Scott, or Roki (huge IF posted).
1000% no to Willy Adames for that kind of money. He’s a low average hitter, and the last time I remember him, he was even worse than Aaron Judge in the 2020 World Series.
Alana is on a good one this year. Edman ain’t going anywhere 1. He’s a core player 2. He can play multiple positions which the dodgers love 3. Edman is cheap an dodgers have control over him as far as his contract. So he’s definitely not going anywhere
White Sox got a really nice catcher in Edgar Quero. Marlins are wide open on Luzardo, maybe Cabrera too. Also need a Catcher really bad, Cartaya works.
Edman was post-season MVP with one more year of control. Young and core of 202x Dodgers. Max Muncy just took a hometown discount on extension. I do agree that we do NOT need Juan Soto.
Arenado is an infielder. and Mookie is moving to second. We need outfield help. And after this season you dont want a starter to eat innings? C Burns is available
Burns, Fried, Schnell, all north of 30 years old. Are we trying to look like the Yankees two years from now with nothing but expensive aging vets on the wrong side of their prime years? That's what we're becoming. The only player in our starting lineup next year, south of age 30, assuming he even has a starting job is Gavin Lutz. Every other starter is in their age 30 season. Watch how quickly the sand slips through the hour glass if this is our plan going forward.
Our shortstop for the future is Edman. Freeman at 1st, Betts at 2nd. We need a 3rd baseman eventually to replace Muncy, but no rush. Max is a solid fielder and can play 1st when necessary.
Alana has said some dubious things in the past such as Ohtani was not a star because he was a pitcher (duh he was a pitcher and hitter) when he was with Angels. The trading Edman idea takes the cake though. 😄
I agree with Alanna of NOT getting Soto and instead using that money to get 4-5 needed pieces. As for the other guy, “Shohei is always injured when he played 2-way..” ?????? What is this dude talking about?? Shohei has more game played than most players who dare r doing double duty! Check the past 3 years prior to coming to Dodgers (even in rehab he players more than most!)
I'm keeping Muncy and Edman. Muncy had almost the same amount of hrs as Arenado in less games and his WAR was better. Edman is solid and could be CF or SS full time. Lux I dont mind being traded for BP help...maybe closer on Brewers.
I may unscripe with this nonsense. Edam is a gold glover at second base, plays great center field, and plays short stop. A perfect player for the Dodgers. But he didn't do much in playoffs...especially against the Mets😅. Max is going anywhere too. Clayton needs to hang it up. We have sooo many young pitchers coming up. Mays, Gosling, Yamoto , Sasaki, Sho, Glasnow, Miller, help me out on the young guns that came in late . Lux will be there , he carried us for a bit and showed us how good he can be.
Edman is a good dude and good utility player. He can play multiple positions. I don't think he will be traded. Trade Muncy because he's a defensive liability at third base.
Stop trying to trade Edman, that dude is a stud 2B ... lock that dude in long term!! Get us a 3B and SS and a couple more arms ... trade Max, Lux, and CT3.
No Taylor, bad contract. Trade Muncy and a prospect for Arenado for better glove and bat at 3B. No Barnes, bring up Rushing as backup catcher. Trade for Rooker in LF,sign Ademas or go with Edman / Rojas at SS. Mookie to 2B and try Lux at SS or trade him.
I love Allana, but trading Muncy and Edman for Arenado is a horrible idea. If it was 5-10 years ago, then yea that might be a good move, but Arenado is too old to trade 2 integral pieces of our team. Of they did trade Muncy, it would have to be for someone a lot younger. If the Cardinals were willing to throw in Masyn Winn as well, then I would probably do it. Kid has an absolute gun at SS and will be great for years.
Why would the Cardinals consider doing something that stupid? Max Muncy will be in his age 35 season in 2025. This guy is a tomato can as early as next season. Way passed his prime years, yet you think the Cardinals should consider giving up one of their prime future players in exchange. Just a Dodger homer.
@daverice7855 Where did I suggest that? My comment was pointing out that it was a bad deal and the only way I would want the Dodgers to do it is if they included Winn. I never said they should or that it was a possibility. Just pointing out the obvious that the deal she wants, is not going to happen. I never seriously thought the Cardinals would throw Winn in.
@@djdmac2417 You put it into the equation pal, If you didn't want anyone to respond as if you really meant it as a trade worth considering, why bring Winn's name up at all? Why not just say Muncy and Edman for Arenado is a bad trade PERIOD and leave it at that? Do better!
Alana is smoking that good stuff. Edman is a core player, we already know he can deliver in the big games. Keep him for sure.
Yeah that's bonkers
Holy shit, we're literally trolling on this show now
Especially he can play multiple positions. He's not going anywhere. Edman is the type of player Robert's loves. He can move in different positions and bat 5-9 and a switch hitter. She's on crack!
Edmon is under contract for another year from what I heard 😂
@ next year comes up quickly and the price goes up
Edman is not going anywhere. The Dodgers coveted him for years. He’s too valuable for the team.
Trading Edman is dumb lol
I would not trade edman he is a big no
No shot we trade muncy and edman for Nado, maybe a couple years ago yes but at this point no
I usually think Alanna has good opinions, but trading Muncy and Edman for Arenado makes us worse not better.
He’ll be 36 next year and coming off of back to back mediocre seasons.
Yeah, totally. Zero chance of it happening. We wouldn't trade Edman for Arenado straight up, particularly given the money on Arenado's deal.
Exactly. Arenado was once a stellar player, but his best time is behind him, way behind him.
@@Kwolfxjust his defense alone makes arenado better than muncy and his 200 strikeouts

edman is a switch hitter who can play ss and centerfield, why......
Lux is a roadblock to Mookie playing 2nd plus he can't hit lefties. Trade Lux to the Brewers for Devin Williams. Lux can go back home, Dodgers get a high end reliever. Win Win
And the Dodgers just announced that Mookie will be coming back to the infield for 2025.
Completely agree with Alana on not getting Soto
We’ve been saying taylor going to have a comeback year for 3 seasons lol
Alana is definitely not my GM if I am owning a team! Lol....
😅
Why isn’t bro on dodgers nation anymore?
Absolutely no way do you trade Edman.
The idea of trading Tommy is, simply put, as preposterous as the idea of bringing Arenado (maybe 3-5 yrs ago but No Nolan now).
I'm down for trading Lux and Cartaya in a package for a impact starter (Crochet, Gilbert, Skubal)
Trading Muncy and Edman for Nolan is crazy work lol
Doesn’t skubal have 4 years of control? Would be an empty the prospects type of trade to Detroit for them to even think of rebuilding again when they just made playoffs.
@ he has 2 years of control left
With Edman's versatility and solid defense, don't see Edman getting traded.
Keeping Max and Edman. Signing Butane and Teo. Going after Adames and Freid. Lux gets traded.
This right here. Dodgers need another left handed starter. Buehler is staying on a friendly deal. I also like the idea of calling about Luis Robert if Edman plays at SS and Mookie plays 2nd.
Moving mookie to second makes lux a trade guy.Want to open the outfield for pages and rushing to play there.
wtf Alana is smoked out. Why would the dodgers get Arenado when he's washed? Muncy is cheap and signed for one more year. Arenado has 3 years left at a high cost.
We don’t want to get rid of Edmen
Alanna, I’m all in on trading for Arenado♥️ but getting rid of Edman is a NO NO.
Under NO circumstances do the Dodgers trade Edman. If the Dodgers ever wanted Arenado, it should have happened a few seasons ago.
Your crazy if you think they trade edman. He won us the NLCS. Dumbest thing I’ve heard all year
Extend Edman. You don’t trade him. No on Arenado. He is a bit old now. Also, Rushing should be considered for LF.
Alanna knowledge is a tough watch
Nolan would be a good fit
Yeah. Alanna is smoking the good stuff.
Buehler proved that the Dodgers need him in the postseason. Buehler is like reverse Kershaw because Buehler actually handles the postseason well. Haha

Just turn a World Championship Roster into a Ball of Swiss Cheese 🫕 🧀 😳 🤣 Trading Tommy Edman would be really dumb!!!!
Muncy is better than Arenado. No way trading team friendly contracted Muncy for declined Arenado
I feel that the Dodgers need to get Buehler back if possible.
