NB this video was filmed BEFORE I knew the pains I was having were early labour pains and before being admitted to hospital. I just didn't have a chance to edit this video until now. I had been told the pains were just my uterus stretching and that keeping active was actually helpful. Before you tell me I shouldn't be digging in the garden or walking the dogs 😅
We do the best we can with the information we currently have. I hope you’re doing ok now. Take care of yourself and try not to worry about anything else 💚
I hope you and the babe feel better! I was beginning to get worried not seeing an update/Video. I enjoy following you guys on your journey to homesteading and expanding your family. Blessing to all
I am praying you do well in your pregnancy, and when the time comes you have a good labor...I am always happy to come and watch you in your daily routine...Stay healthy and happy...Many blessings to you, Mauro and all your animals...
Just a suggestion for the chicken coop floor , instead of sweeping out the poop, maybe make something like a big metal tray that you can slide out from under the mesh, empty the poop, hose it off and slide it back in. You know, kinda like the crumbs catcher in the toaster.
Hello Harriet,so great you are home, safe and sound.Enjoy these gentle days, and full nights sleep, while you can!Wishing you and baby and Mauro all the best.❤😊
Mauro seems to be very fond of waking up slowly and taking his time to start his day.... I hope he will soon be a little bit more active in supporting you while struggling with a pregnancy and late a baby
Happy to know you are well. It's hard to sit back and relax when you are used to being on the go, but let Mauro help it will do you both good. Take care of your very dear selves and that baby of yours xxxxxxx
Regarding doing a chore you don't want to do - cleaning the chicken coop. May I recommend researching deep mulch bedding? "They" say you only have to clean it every quarter to six months or so. If you place it next to a compost area, you can just rake in directly onto the compost pile, no transporting necessary. Best wishes on a safe pregnancy and delivery.
I am also glad to see you well and back up. The baby will be worth all the rest you take now, you will wish for restful times once he is born! I also love making those shaggy mats. Good recycling and they last well! Look after yourself!
Thanks for sharing, I love watching your videos. They’re always so peaceful and inspiring 😊 hope you’re continuing to feel a bit better after your admission.
You amaze me with all you accomplish. Please take care of yourself ❤. It’s wonderful the care Mauro takes of you. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Until next time.
Glad your home Harriet take care of your self. Sounds like you had rain like us in Southern Spain. So now you can take it easy in the beautiful sunshine.
Your rug mat making took me back i had one in my bedroom in the late 1950s, as carpets were only for the well off, the plebs made rug mats I think my mum had a tool for putting the cloth through the hessian backing. The hessian could have either been bought or most probably recycled from a washed sack, it weighed a ton. Thanks for the memory.
If you are going for a brick chicken house , a solid floor with a normal high it is easy to sweep or hose and you can have only poles across for them to sleep on it.
Harriet, please listen to your body. It will tell you what you can and can’t do. I’m so happy that you and the baby are doing well. Preterm labor is pretty scary. Mauro is doing a good job taking care of you. Enjoy it!!! Blessings to all.
Dear Harriet Thank you for thinking of us while you are struggling. There is nothing like a visit with you and your majestic creatures. Take care of yourself!
I am happy to see Mauro taking care of you and working in the garden knowing he also works full time. I know it must be difficult for you to take it easy because your normal seems to be go go go. Growing babies is hard so please take care of yourself. ❤
We are using sand for the bedding in the interior of the coop, found it to be much easier to clean. We use a cat litter scoop and so far is working good. It also reduced the smell of the coop.
Thank you so much for sharing this amazingly beautiful place of yours… so sweet of you to make time and effort in spite of struggeling with pain. I so love the landskape and the garden you have created. I send you love and healing energy♥️
Good to see Mauro helping you on the farm. It must be tough with his job too. That was some heavy rain! I hope you’re feeling better soon, you need to take it easy and listen to your body, your body is telling you to take it easy and rest. X
Just got nostalgic flashbacks from when I used to make this type of rug in Fiji with my grandma using her sewing offcuts ❤ Hope all is well with you and the baby!
nice to read that you are back from the hospital Harriet! That means you were diagnosed, treated and now can take of yourself at home. Everything will be ok.
How lovely does the rain sound on the tunnel? You look very pretty Harriet, blooming. It was lovely to see the cats and dogs playing,do you give your cats wet food too?
We watch because your peaceful life, close to the earth is lovely and enviable. You're doing great it appears to us. First pregnancy is scary and exciting.
I grew up taking care of chickens on the farm, but I'd never heard of Histoplasmosis until a friend who got it as a kid, from cleaning the chicken coop on the farm. Something to be aware of I think, when cleaning the coop.
So nice to see you again, and see that you’re taking it easier and accepting help from Mauru. It must be frustrating for you to hold back from your usual pace of life but, hopefully, it’ll all be worthwhile when the baby comes and you can get back to normal. 🤞 it all goes well for you all from here on.
Hope you and the baby are doing well Harriet., it's good that you're resting. Loving the rag rug, it's really colourful. I enjoyed seeing the animals today. Mauro's being very supportive, you're a lovely couple., I wish you both well 😊👶💗💗
Nothing gets my doggie more agitated than your chickens. It took about five of your videos for me to figure out what she was barking and growling at. I hardly notice their noise, but she points it out every time.😂 I was surprised to find this video today. I hope that means things are getting a little better for you. I'm sorry you are having such a rough pregnancy. My heart goes out to you.
So glad you're home and that you've gotten through a few more weeks successfully. You're doing great! When I was on bed rest I just took it one week at a time. So proud of you. You're almost there!
it's so lovely to see you all again. Your farm is beautiful. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and hope the rest of your pregnancy is a little easier for you ❤
Harriet You are a beautiful and strong woman and you are an inspiration. Your little one is going to be extremely blessed. Look after yourself💚 We love your videos and I absolutely love how you have just managed to do so much. Looking at everything that you have built is super inspiring. We expect men to be handy, but seeing that a woman can build cupboards etc. herself and learn to do those things that isn't generally natural to us, WELL DONE!
Hi Harriet! Amaia
It must be worrying and frustrating but we know you are both strong and level headed, both of you take it nice and slow ,our thoughts and love are with you ❤❤❤
It is great to see that you are taking care not to over strain yourself and that Mauro has stepped in to help and support you. You have such a purposeful, happy life ,with animals to care for and crops to plant and harvest, surrounded by by the calming presence of the landscape around you. How lucky you both are !
The poly tunnels seem like a good idea to begin seedlings although they grow just as well and become sun toughened if grown in the open but I'm wondering if it won't it get too hot for those vegetables to grow in permanently and they will never have actual rain which is so good for their growth; not to mention for the soil as well.
maybe you change the dunkey with the chicken..the chicken maybe dosnt matter..but the dunkey have a big brain and i think he is happy when he see you work in the garden..or see anything that show him he is not alone..
As you are resting, if you have the energy research efficient ways to garden in your polytunnel. Tying up twine across for cucumbers/vining plants are super efficient and helpful(tomatoes too!). Lot's of crafting and planning you can do that could make the projects more efficient. I wish for painless and productive days for your growing family so that you feel best when things get settled:)
Wishing you well! Since you once talked about rat tailed radishes, I bought seeds and grew some this summer, they are very delicious. I will be saving seeds to plant again. Thank you.
It was such a joy to see a video from you today. I'm so sorry you are having difficulties with the pregnancy. Hope you are feeling better now. I'm not going to tell you not to walk with the dogs. But maybe bring Maru or a friend too. Just so there is someone to help you if there is a problem. What is your growing season there in Spain? Because your squash plants are way ahead of mine here in California. Take care Harriet. Good to see Maru this week.

Hold on you are amazing woman. I hope you and your baby are well
I think we all would have done the same.
Chocolate Point Siamese. My lat cat, Fritz, was a chocolate Point Siamese. Fritz lived 20 years, six weeks and six days
I hope you and the babe feel better! I was beginning to get worried not seeing an update/Video. I enjoy following you guys on your journey to homesteading and expanding your family. Blessing to all

Keep adding compost every 6 months about 2.5 cm and the soil below will come back to life from the leaching of the compost. Stay Strong!
Take care, Harriet (my sister's a Harriet, too). I enjoy your low-key and very watchable videos... thanks very much.
Just got nostalgic flashbacks from when I used to make this type of rug in Fiji with my grandma using her sewing offcuts ❤ Hope all is well with you and the baby!
I remember how much work it was to grow a baby. And your journey has been more difficult than most. Strength and healing wishes coming your way.

I remember making a rug like this as a child. At the time the backing was a used potato sack . My mom actually made patterns with the strips of cloth.
That's awesome, i bet they were beautiful rugs!
it's so lovely to see you all again. Your farm is beautiful. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and hope the rest of your pregnancy is a little easier for you ❤
