I have a suggestion and I no you are a very smart young brother and I don't no if you researched this avenue or not but I saw your channel and it made me want a box truck but then I research hot shot and I decided to go that route but right before I got that trailer I met a guy who hauls car out of Georgia he has a RUclips channel called bout that truck life. I learned that car hauling was the way for me because for one and most importantly 90% of the loads or either COD , company check upon drop of or bank wiring. So you don't need a factoring company and if you have experience dispatching your own loads you don't need them either and it's much easier to dispatch yourself as well. I'm not asking you to take my word for it just if you haven't already. Do some research before you get that flatbed trailer. Good luck always young brother.

He made solid content, I am talking to local people for work for my truck already . Trying to see if I can find something light, consistent, & paying well!

I think and hope this is a much better move for you in regards to being solo and hotshot. Hotshot make more money than box. The big money is in wide loads but don't do a lot of those cause it's more wear and tear on the truck. I can't wait to see how this journey goes. I wish you the best of luck!

Man you open my eyes and saved me from wasting money my friend has a FORD 350 with 140000 miles that he doesn’t use 🤦🏽♂️ so he’s going to let me rock with the truck and this whole time I’m sitting here looking for a box truck until I seen you video I’m new to all of this but one thing I do know is I have a truck already and my llc my EIN my dot number and finishing up to hit the road

Run them in an insulated cargo trailer built for car hauling. Is this a thing?
What kind of load boards would I look for to find these clients?
One thing you are going to find out that a dually pick up truck is going to go through more maintenance issues than a box truck because the box truck is more heavy duty than a pick up! That is the reason why a box truck is far more expensive than pick up truck used or new! Also you still need all the same eld, dot and mc# as a box truck! Their can be a lot of maintenance issues on gooseneck and 5th wheel trailers too!
Very true, I don’t plan on hauling too much weight for a while though, even when I get my CDL .
Trust me hotshot maintenance is way less, I change my oil on the dully $80 and my fuel filters $85 thats it. Its not high overhead at all

No in some circumstances if you're building a partial truck truck then you can get 1.50 a mile for each partial you have. If more Box truck owner operators move that way we will all make more money.
