I had a restored 1967 GTA Mustang convertible before I sold it and got a new Wrangler. I was losing radiators constantly, so I flushed it and I put a Gano Filter on my top hose. The first two weeks it was full of rust chips that were clogging my radiators. It is a clear filter, that goes on the top radiator hose. So, you can see the junk in it. If installed properly with the wire, and tightened it won't leak. After the first two weeks, I removed the filter and cleaned the rust out of the filter and put it back in. It filled up again with less rust this time, and I removed it and cleaned it again. By the third time, my filter stayed clean and no rust, and I stopped losing radiators from them getting clogged and blowing the top and leaking. You can periodically visually look at them to see if there are rush chips in the filter without taking them off because of the clear window on the filter. The filter catches the rust before it can clog the radiator. These Gano filters look nice and high performance too, and I never lost another radiator from rust chips clogging my radiator fins.
Should be using a Gano Filter to catch the scale so it doesn't make it to the radiator core, that said would have left it in there for 2 months to get the scale completely off. Curious if it actual lowered your running temps?
Thanks- the overflow hose is actually on the radiator itself. I got that funnel kit probably 12 years ago from the snap on truck. I believe they sell pretty much the same thing at harbor freight as well as amazon now
I've flushed my 5.4L three times this summer, and the cooland still looks somewhat rusty, although better than it initially did. No issues with the heater or overheating, it just looks kind of ugly. I might try Thermocure next.
It runs nice and cool currently. My head gasket was blown so it was trying to overheat alot from that. But i can tell you it definitely works. Plan on flushing at least 3 times after using
I’ve now done 2 LandCruisers and my goodness this stuff stinks like hot trash and old fish. If you’ve ever been near stagnant water in the summer it smells like that.
Central heating cleaner works amazing !
Great product, and great video on how to flush the coolant system!

I just did this to my 66 mustang and it’s amazing how much stuff came out.
Where do you get that trick funnel ?? Looks like it has a overflow outlet where you can attach a drain hose .

nice car and garage.... wish you had some temperature pre and post and you showed the flush liquid in a clear container.

Go for it! It worked great for me
Did you see any difference in engine temperatures?
