Keith Moon - Do Me Good
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 14 мар 2011
- Originally filmed for Tony Palmer's "All You Need Is Love" in 1975. In that film, Keith's (very) rough guide vocal was presented without accompaniment and obscured by an interview with Don Kirshner. Using Adobe Premiere, I synced it up with the finished version and edited out the cutaway shots to Kirshner, and voila! This charming, catchy song now has a video.

Little known fact, Keith recorded this song during his break working the night shift at Esso.
It's a race suit i think
It was a fashion. My mother designed them for kids. You're a dork.
@Heavy Metal Collector And you're another fucking dork calling me a "sperg." Only a dork would use a word like that and only a dork would think this is a good joke,
@@nkmcfrln I think you need a hug, or a drink.
I need that outfit ( NEED)
I have no idea why people said that Keith couldn't sing. Even if he couldn't sing very well, it was something that he enjoyed doing. This song is perfect! I love Keith :)
I love that dear boy as well, but when people he couldn't sing, they mean he couldn't sing well, and he really couldn't. It sucks to admit, but that's why you don't see him singing harmony live when The Who were in concert, it just wasn't his strong suit.
I think his singing is very good. I like it very much
this is after post production. where they've dubbed on the doctored vocal track..if you watch the original scene in the doc All You Need Is Love (where this is from) you hear him singing horribly offkey
If this is not good then what is good ?
He doesn't stay at correct intonation, but some ppl might like that.
Hearing Moonpie sing is one of the most oddest things things I've ever heard. I mean, don't get me wrong, he's quite a good singer, but it's just...odd, like a rare gem.
He had a higher voice than I thought
And is that not you in there mixing it with him, mate?
And he's quite on-key too :)
I don't think so..is it me?
Looks like ya
what an incredible man Moonie is! they say there's a fine line between madness and genius, and Keith was the perfect example of it. we will never see another Keith Moon, he was a once in a million lifetimes man, talent and charismatic musician. God Bless Keith Moon.
Dear Boy..
Keith moon was from another planet shame he had to go back, at least he visited. R.I.P king of drums
Everyone is a once in a million lifetime man/woman. God made us all unique that way. So appreciate and love each other the talented and the seemingly untalented as well.
With you there! He was truly extraordinary and is still fondly remembered all these years later.
@@juliepeterson8413 easier said than done Mrs bible
Keith Moon. Esso attendant by day, Tiger Beat sensation by night.
R. V. He can use his dipstick and check my oil anytime...
He had massive Charisma and knew how to use it! Still love the man.
Keith Moon was so adorable. I like the song too!
He had a super human ability to play completely smashed flawlessly
bless his heart.
My heart has exploded on 2:25...
Hahahaha mine too
women - easily manipulated.
Ekaterina Novomlinskaya Mine too!
Oh please...I want to be that lucky girl😍
@@claudiavanesalarracoechea1726 He beat women up Claudia
Goddammit, he could be so adorable sometimes...
So jealous of that girl... I love you Keith...
PsychedelicWeasel there are still generations of women adoring Keith!
Keith was a hitter. Don't be too jealous.
But with that woman in video he got sober and died of acohol withdrawal drugs so never hit Annette lax so you could adore her or admire but I would feel sorry for her as she might of had a child with him and got married to him as he had the ring and was planning to propose when he died
Excellent. I wish all singers could have this impeccable timing.
I'm in tears of joy & sadness. Moonies Beach Boy's influence is very evident, thanks a bloody million for posting...WoW!
He's obviously somewhat intoxicated here, but his timing for the overdubbing is impeccable. He doesn't miss any cue. Starts on time, stops on time.
That's the drummer in him.
Pianoman 70s style somewhat intoxicated? I understand he nearly had to mortgage his last few possessions to cover the booze bill from recording his album.....
its an edited video: sure he missed plenty...but who cares..he was in the WHO!
@@Ginger7024seems pretty coherent and serious about getting this track right.
This song is really catchy and I like Keith's voice. He's very drunk at this recording but he still gets everything on time. He's fascinating to watch too, whether he's drumming or not. Thank you for posting this video.
Damn....he looks like one hell of a kisser....
Zsofia Fekete he was a he'll of a kisser&then some
...also one hell of a woman beater
He was a wide basher.
"Okay gentlemen, let's make records." -The late, Keith Moon. Moon the Loon
What a legend 😎🤘
He treated the recording of his solo album as a non-stop party. It took forever. There were massive changes to its layout. Guest appearances scheduled and canceled. Obviously he lived his life that way too, but I believe when he recorded with The Who, Pete (and probably Roger) made sure the party started after Keith's bits for the day were done. This is 1975. He's still in good shape here. No beer gut yet. Still Moon the Loon. The animal. The amazing orchestral drummer. Still more than capable on the drum kit. It's cool to see him before his lifestyle caught up with him. So eccentric. So charismatic. The definition of a ROCK STAR. I'll always love him and rest of the bloody Who.
Geez, Moonie is only 28 years old here ! To my eyes, he looks between 35 and 40. The inhuman volume of booze and drugs that he had ingested in his life were really taking their toll.
Keith had many different kinds of English accents, and used them at will. Hear he sounds like the Beatles.
The Beatles is The Who... The Who is The Beatles
The fuck? No. He's using RP English, not Scouse. Be quiet.
Yes HERE he sounds like the Beatles
I was thinking his vocal style here is a lot like John Lennon.
You can even hear Ringo fucking Starr in the background.
I need those Esso racing overalls
turbomkiisupra i
turbomkiisupra Same!
With the brown skid marks in 'em?
agreed me aswell
God i wish this or anything of the album was on spotify
I actually like this song... Is that wrong??
No, it shows that you are a Keith Moon fan, plus he was on key, it's upbeat, pretty good considering he was drunk. He definitely didn't spend a lot of time on the lyrics.
There is video of Keith recording it and he was very off key. Lots of pitch correction used
YES
I love it too! I think it's darned good.
Good song keith m👀n.God Bless u .R.I.P ..And brian jones .....mod .lreland 💚💚💙💚💚
he's so adorable
this makes me happy
Love this! It has his dear friend Harry Nilsson written all over it!!!
I miss him so much!!
WHAT AN ARTIST! nothing more to say.
I HAVE HAD THIS SONG IN MY HEAD, ALL DAY!!!!! Not that I'm complaining, cause it came with Keith's voice. And I do really like this song, and just love Keith. Miss ya bunches!
Long live, Mr. Moon!! The greatest to ever do it!!
Ok, gentlemen - let's make records. LOL!!!! Complete original!
OMG MOONIEEEE!!! WHY YOU NEED TO BE SO CUTE???
Ah, Dear Keith... RIP you Legend.
What a gorgeous man!! :) love me some Keith Moon
Why is this not famous?
Zoctopus it is to me, I've had his solo album since the 80s....I might have had it sooner, but I was five when it was recorded....
...because it's shite probably
Great tune
@@sratus there's worse songs.
@@sratus no it’s not
Bloody hell! Never knew Keith was such a possible popstar.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOONIE....LOVE YAH OUR DEAR BOY.....UNDERNEATH ALL THE CRAZY ANTICS...YOU WERE A SWEETHEART...XOXO

A true legend what a genius he was and his personality showed true Keith fashion he was a wonderful human being and more❤❤❤ miss u Keith Moon
This is a banga. Should have been released
It was on his album, "Two Sides of the Moon"
One of Keith´s best singings. He was no singer. But this one is at least o.k. Nevertheless: Keith was the bust drummer ever!
its a hit Keith
My love forever ❤ I fell in love with him as soon as I saw him. Love u Moonie
Rest In Peace Keith Moon, I like this song!
Oh my god this song is stuck in my head I love it and keith
Look how proud he was! Loved that man! God rest his soul!
I fucking love this guy! MOONIE!!!
bless u for posting this
This song wasn't released on his solo album. This was filmed during the recording of his second solo album which was never finished. Also, the producer with the long hair and beard is the legendary guitarist Steve Cropper who had moved to LA from Memphis by this time to produce. A few years after this Steve joined the Blues Brothers and he's featured prominently in the movie.
I’m back and loving Keith Moon
just the very definition of legend.
what a wonderfull voice !!!!!!
I honestly didn't expect the song to be this good. Well I was completely wrong! This is amazing!!!👍
GENIUS BOTH IN CHARACHTER AND MUSIC

This is from my 2 sides of the moon album!
Bloody hell, WHAT a PUNCHY dynamic recording! So dry and clean and a stereo field so wide it just pushed all the books off this table!!! 🏆🇬🇧
Haven’t heard this song in years. What a hidden gem though. I love Keith!
LOVE!!! My 3 and 6 year old sing along. Just a little obsessive. ;0)
Love it!!
He was so adorable.
this is awesome!
Wonderful!
I wish this was on Apple Music I love it
Keith Moon showed a very good singing quality since early Who albums. Songs like “I need you (1966)” or “Girl's eyes (1967)” prove his capabilities.
This is great!!!
Great job on the video .I enjoyed that.
This is wonderful cigarettetenor. Nice job! Thank you for making this.
Gaaah I love this so much! ❤❤
This did me good!
This song is fantastic!
Never heard of this song or movie. But it is Keith Moon so I like it. Thank you for the clever editing and upload. 😊

"Okay gentleman! Lets make records!"

Thanks so much for putting this together. Truly was a different side of the Moon
Great Job!!! :) I still remember Tony Palmer's version... I think I was 10 when it came out...Ha ha ha!!!
He sounds great!
He looks great here and happy.
Imagine what it’d be like if he was still alive?!
Such a legend we lost way too soon.
ROCK DRUMMER GOD OF ALL-TIME. THE ONE AND ONLY MOON THE LOON!!!.
You dont need us Keith, but we need you!
Such an entertaining guy.
Such a pleasure to get to know you today sir…👍
Love it ❤
Aw, Keith - just lovely.
Didn't know Keith Moon was such a good singer. And the song is as good as anything from 70's McCartney...
Good work! i was with Tony Palmer, a few weeks ago. Nice bloke. He'd probably love this!
Excellent
a great all rounder .
Moonie is the man.
Thanks for going to all that trouble. The result is sensational and I salute you for all the effort you put into it. Seems like the line he sings about 4 times "You don't need me but I need you" is very similar to what John Lennon sang about his parents. And by coincidence I believe Keith and John were hanging out together at the time with Harry Nilsson.
Many times I've heard people say that Keith Moon couldn't sing I just direct them to this video. They soon shut up
unique and inimitable. Rest in play
Cool song, I found out this song, like 10-12 years ago, I like it, moon was quite a singer, at least in the studio
What a fuc**kin charisma !! U lil guy so sad and happy in same time, u miss me really !😢😢
