    I love the near chaos of this interview. This actually rarely happens on entertainment shows in general. And it isn't time sensitive, whether in the seventies up until now, there hasn't been that many. But like Crispin Glover or Andy Kaufman on David Letterman, or Norman Mailer on Dick Cavett, although there are funny moments, there are rarely times you think it might go too out of control.

      John adored Keith...Pete and Roger loved him too, but Keith was John's best mate, because John was just as devilish, but he let Keith take it and run with it - but he was the one, as he said, was the one 5:55 "providing Keith the matches".

      @lloydcarlinsky2836 11 месяцев назад +2

      Perfectly true about John providing the matches! John being just as crazy! But he wouldn't destroy his expensive rare basses! It was how Peter Criss and Ace were tight, with Criss enabling Ace!

  • @EmptyGlass99
    @EmptyGlass99 12 лет назад +73

    Pete has set himself apart from the rest of the band, as the songwriter, saying he has "something going for him" i.e. more money. Keith realises that he should be with Pete, the money maker, and moves across. Roger says "Scab!" which is British slang for someone who breaks a strike and returns to work. Keith realises he's out of order and returns to the "union" of the non-songwriters in the band. All done in complete jest and with tongue firmly in cheek of course. 1970s British humour.

    Probably one of the most interesting interviews ever caught on film. You don't learn a damn thing (except that it maybe wasn't a good idea to be patronizing with the Who) but it's never boring.
    I saw this for the first time when 'The Kids Are Alright' had its original theatrical run and it keeps getting funnier and funnier.
