It is mindboggling how the Emperor treated some of his sons when he clearly knew perfectly well how to approach the others. Kidnapping Angron and letting him kill half of his legion before he calmed down, stealing Morty's thunder, literally beating up Russ - although that turned out well, or leaving Lorgar without dispelling his delusions about gods. Compare it to Lion or Sanguinius or Corax. It's like he sometimes got high on warpstone before meeting his sons.
One of my favourite theories is that the Emperor knew fully well that the Heresy would happen eventually (or that he even planned it by himself, just like he fucked over the Thunder Warriors) so he alienated some of the Primarchs, because they would be removed first
I've heard hearsay (or is it heresy?) that big E made a bargain with the Chaos gods and that the Primarchs have had a link to the Warp from the start. I wonder if he didn't bargain half his "sons" away before they were ever conceived. Almost makes one feel sorry for the traitors, but then one thinks about the damage they did and pity evaporates in the face of evil.

I'm reading Lords of silence right now😊 It's really cemented my opinion thst Nurgle is the most insidious of the gods of Chaos. At the end of your strength. At the end of your hope. At the end of your life. The Great Grandfather will be there to "comfort" you.
Would love more books about the Lords of Silence and other Death Guard chapters. Always a fascinating read, couldn't have been a better Chapter to fall to Nurgle and become the inexorable tide of rot.
I know this is an onlder vieo, but I have come to realize that ol Morty is far more relatable with how many gifts the Plaguefather has been giving me lately

So confusing how Mortarian was so willing to take up the mantle of Nergel, when he was so adamant about fighting for what is right, seeing who he became after The Heresy and so willing to participate in such terrible acts.

Here is my question, why did the Emporer not step in and help Angrons cause like he did Mortarion and a few other of his sons? Would it have made a difference in Amgrons attitude towards his gene father ? Not likely. What if the Emporer in his psychic foresight saw what had to happen in the long game to defeat Chaos and he is sitting on the Golden Throne as part of his end game ? Just a thought.

It would have taken so little effort to help Angron and Mortarion to complete their rebellions
The Legion of Battle Captain Garro. The last War Leader of the Dusk Raiders. Ave Imperator.

Too bad he has the character depth of a rain puddle
Mortarion and Curze are buddies??

Awesome Stuff Man. I Love the Lore of Mortarion and the Death Guard.
Shit old boy you are going to town on these index videos I'm very impressed keep it up it's like Christmas all over again.
I have come to really enjoy your short commentaries at the end of your vids, Good Job!
Praise be to Grandfather Nurgle

Can't believe how good this index astartes series is
So happy for my favorite legion to get featured ABP doing the emperors work
Ah yes the astartes that require full immolation from a melta weapon in order for them to stay down in battle. Awesome
Well that answers that question, I was always curious.., “why would anyone want Nurgles “gifts”.
Great read as always B.P.👍🏼
Thank you! Been waiting for this one. Cheers! 😀👍
Because in the end, all are equal in the embrace of Nurgle
damn man another one? Your on fire!
Good stuff, I run a death guard army. Always a good time.

Thanks! My favorite legion and my favorite book (Lords of Silence).
I love this series! Thanks again!

Do you fear death?
About damn time.

Horus: chaos!

Nurgles followers relish life. They take joy in sharing it.
Garro was NOT the lord of flies. He battled the Lord of Flies on Luna in "Flight of the Eisenstein." Solun Decius is the Lord of Flies.
I Always wondered if the Death Guard and Mortarion stayed Loyal who “Theoretically” would be his Opposite and Follow Nurgle?
Dorn? Or khan cause plague riders sounds cool
Perhaps The Lion since he lays dying?

Either he was an all knowing God Emperor or a flawed man who could not see that his Primarchs needed a father, not an Emperor.
