Why not replace the lower legs of a dreadnought with a hover chasis ? Problem solved !!! Them figure out how to cool and circulate the fluid the pilot is in to feel like the wind running around them.

One of my favorite stories, is a Black Templar dreadnaught looking for his brother, and finding a Crimson Fist Ancient instead.
Sadest was the Death Watch story where a dreadnought dies, diring a mission pretty early.
Can you remember what novel the black template was from?

Great video ABP! The descriptions of both the mass Dreadnought battle during Armageddon as well as the first battle of The Fang are my favourite. Would you consider doing a follow up video on the Lore regarding the different types of Dreadnoughts, both loyalist and traitor?

Are dreadnoughts only used as very heavy infantry/fire support or can these old and honored veterans aspire to higher command like a sergeant, company captain or even chapter master if they wished is that kind of idea even considered?

It does sound interesting tho but i highly doubt it
usually they are taken out of command when interned in the dreadnaught because of all the sleeping they do , apparently its different for iron hands though they have dreadnaught leaders if i remember correctly
Why is a Marine too the likes of Bjorn not fitted into a better dreadnaught such as a Contemptor? Surely after 10,000 years the Wolves would have a chance to move their eldest brother into the best wargear available?
Marines inside a contemptor tend to loose grip on reality after a time.
Also i think there is always a risk of loosing the marine when they go into a dread, i assume that riskwould increase with each move and Bjorns age doesn't help. Also Bjorn doesn't need anything better, he seemed to prefer the more general equipment types as a marine.
@@daviddickson412 I think that’s the newer Redemptor Dreadnoughts you’re thinking of. The Contemptors have been around since the Great Crusade and are still used in the 41st Millennium. They are a cut above the more wide spread patterns of modern Dreadnoughts, having their own built-in energy shields.

I like Bjorn, but Rylanor was my favorite of all the lore.
