- Johnny Depp testified on Wednesday in his defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard a day after he took the stand and denied the actress’s domestic abuse allegations against him, calling them disturbing, heinous and "not based in any species of truth.” Depp is suing Heard for $50 million over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed where the actress referred to herself as a "public figure representing domestic abuse." Heard has filed a countersuit against Depp that accuses his lawyers of defaming her at his direction.

I wasn't always a big JD fan, but this is heartbreaking to watch. With that said, seeing the man so raw and exposed has given me a new respect for him, and greater understanding as to what makes him who he is. I hope he wins and his reputation is restored.

You can tell this man is finally speaking his truth after being forced to stay quiet for so long. I think that’s why his answers are so long and sometimes deviating from the point, he’s found his words and the strength to tell his side of the story and there’s no stopping him now.

I love this for him. This is powerful therapy for him to overcome the abuse from her and his mother. He deserves this so very much!
His assessment of the relationship saying you are in a relationship with your mother is absolutely correct. And that is the reason why she resonated with him. She may not have been overtly abusive at first but there is some part of his brain that knew it was there and it felt like home. That is a very powerful draw even if it is the worst thing that we could do for ourselves.

I feel so bad that Mr. Depp endured such abuse from this woman. He seems to be a genuinely caring, loving, generous human being. In my opinion, Amber seems to have a borderline personality disorder. Her mood swings, need to be the center of attention, clingy, manic episodes etc. If she isn’t on medication she should be. I hope that Mr. Depp can find the help & peace he deserves.

I am so glad to see so many people recognizing this for what it is. Narcissistic abuse. It is by far one of the worst things a human can endure. He seems like such a genuinely good person. I was with a narcissist for 4 years and I recognize so much of this behavior, gaslighting, and mental abuse. People like Amber are an utter nightmare to live with. They're never wrong, they're professional victims, and their goal is to completely obliterate your personality and control you.
Wow, I couldn’t have said it better. I was with my abuser for almost 10 years and his son came to live with us when our daughter was 6 months old and his son was 8 years old so I raised his son and our daughter for another 5 years without any help from him. He never changed 1 diaper and never gave her 1 bath. After I left he made his son take care of her along with doing everything I took care of when I was there. It was a very sad situation that I had to just sit back and watch since legally he wasn’t my son.

That judge isn’t it. She accept most of the objections of the lawyers from Heard, but when the objections came from the lawyers from Depp, she substantially let him finish the question… STRANGE.
Yeah, kinda sticks out like a sore thumb. Seems biased to say the least, but very courteous.
She's awful, but Johnny's attys have done a terrible job of answering Amber's team's objections, too.
It's so manipulative how she created this huge verbal and physical confrontation right after he tried to get her to sign a post-nup agreement so he'd be too afraid to ever try it again. Once you begin to piece this story together you begin realise what truly despicable person she is.

When he speaks I’m reminded of myself trying to explain my experience about my abusive ex. It is SO confusing and overwhelming and heartbreaking. It’s psychologically traumatizing. The physical is minor compared to the emotional and psychological impacts. I feel so bad for JD.
I can relate! It's hard to explain because the memory of pain becomes more louder then your voice. It hurts especially when pople choose to believe the abuser, after all the pain and suffering they marked in someone's heart.

Which means he has to prove he didn't do the things she alleged in the article. I have no dog in this fight - I'm agnostic toward Depp as an actor (I thought Edward Sissorhands was a crappy movie, and I don't think I've ever seen anything else he's been in), and while I thought Heard was good looking as 408, I've never seen anything else she's ever been in. But I've got to say, her lawyers are doing a really good job rebutting his claims. This is why I don't have social media, and I try to minimize texting.

The main reason they ask anyone the same question multiple times, or multiple ways, is to fact check what they say. Liars have a hard time remembering details, and their answers typically vary from answer to answer. It’s not to annoy him, it’s to see if he’s lying.

It's sad to hear him recall aspects of their relationship, her behaviour and it's impact on him. It's exactly what happens in an abusive relationship, regardless of gender. I think he needs a psychologist to speak on narcissistic patterns and behaviors to help the jury’s understanding of what they’re hearing, along with the impact that gaslighting has on victims with regard to why they stay and sometimes go off the rails themselves.
I absolutely believe Depp. Nobody is perfect, but he clearly wasn’t guilty of the things Heard has claimed. And she definitely posted an op-Ed like that as a form of punishment. Depending on how big a narcissist she is, I wouldn’t be surprised if she intentionally left his name out knowing it would be hard to sue her like this, in addition to intending to get in front of any potential accusations of abuse before Depp would. Saving face and making sure she remains the victim.

There was also a meeting about the NDA, but I can't quite remember what was discussed about with Amber Heard (possibly with lawyers) and thd ACLU staff members. I do know the op-ed that was published by either the Washington Post or the Time U.S.A is not the original article before being released

I don’t think he’s confused, I think this is terrifying for him to have to be in court with camera’s rolling. He doesn’t want to be in this situation and I’m sure it hurts him a lot. He is also admittedly a drug user and he is appearing to be being completely honest and he was also appealing to be telling this directly to the Judge. Johnny admitted, he’s prescribed medication by his doctor. I’ve watched a lot of his testimony about the defamation law suit. Johnny has brought against Amber, or Miss Heard, which he calls her, in his response to questioning, he has been testifying in court and that’s something that seems very difficult for him. He’s Jonny, he’s not Captain Jack, he struggles with his speaking which is very slowly and his answers take time. Can you imagine giving his imaginary knowing that he’s a nice person so they’re using that and trying a curve ball out as if to say something to cause stress, like you’re wasting time for the jurors and the courts, which I think is a low one. If this was his best tactic well if this is all he’s got while trying get Johnny frustrated but it didn’t change Johnny’s asking him to repeat the question and to make his screen bigger so he could read the question in the evidence. I hope Johnny doesn’t change a thing it’s just telling the truth and he’s not in a hurry to say, “ it is in question,” Johnny noting there are two different dates on the publication of he op Ed piece. Which is thrown back. That was a right back at ya, who’s wasting time?
Okay, I don’t know what he’s doing to cope, I mean in court, television sets, he’s having to discuss some really heavy problems with Miss Heard, and about All of the many issue’s being thrown out at each other. She’s showing that it’s truer than singing, “She ain’t nothing but a gold digger.” Stolen medication by Heard and his sobriety without her support for him. He said he asked her to stop drinking two bottles of a Spanish wine every night. There are so many problem’s relating to his x wife and her own problems are being used against her as well as his. I’m wishing him a happy outcome with regards to his stress and pain while attempting to protect himself financially from a Woman he clearly loved. He looked terrified but was acting cool. This was an utter nightmare for him. Probably a worse nightmare than the marriage. But he had to clear his name for his children.
After watching AH's testimony and then coming back to JD's, I can see a stark difference in them. JD is speaks slow and calculated, almost as if he is trying to tell us what happened, but in a way that he does not degrade or trash the woman he loved, who also happens to be the mother of his youngest child.
This also speaks volumes into JD's character as a kind and loving man that would never hurt someone no matter how brutally he was mistreated.
AH on the other hand was so quick to trash JD's name, while even throwing her own sister and father under the bus.
You can also see the way they look at each other. JD could not even look at AH while she was trashing him. He looked down and we could feel the hurt, betrayal, and utter disappointment he was feeling. The actions of a hurt and broken man.
While AH stared him down during his testimony, almost as if she was about to jump over the table, across the judges bench and beat the crap out of JD if he even tried to say something wrong. And the grandiose stories she told that didnt even make sense, like one second she was on the edge of the couch, and then all of a sudden she was sitting on the "beautiful wood floor" as she put it. Like somehow she teleported from the couch to the floor. So sad and ridiculous her testimony was. No real tears. Telling her story like she was writing a book. Facial expressions all over the place, all in the wrong places. Acting like she was so perfectly innocent and did absolutely NOTHING wrong. SMH
Sadly I've also been a victim of narcissistic psychopathic abuse and I feel, understand, and believe everything JD is saying.

Although she has never announced who the father is, we all assume it's Elon musks sperm she used to implant the carrier of the pregnancy.
