A few things about this breakdown:
1) Logan isn’t holding the wrist exactly like Leon is versus Krauser because it was easier to film it with Logan facing towards the camera. This doesn’t change the results.
2) It can be argued Leon doesn’t have true wrist control and that Krauser can twist his knife and cut Leon. However, we are giving Leon and the video game animation of that era the benefit of the doubt. It’s intended that Leon has Krauser’s wrist controlled which forces Krauser to knife switch. This is the correct thing to do on Krauser’s part.
3) The knife switch happens because Leon doesn’t have full weapon control. Leon should be controlling the hand and not the wrist. Good job by Krauser for thinking quick on his feet and taking advantage of Leon’s misstep.
4) However, Krauser should have taken advantage of Leon’s unnecessary knife switch by being more aggressive and attacking Leon when his back was open.
5) The REmake does have more realistic knife fighting but the original has a cooler looking knife sequence, in our opinion.
There’s so much to discuss! Perhaps we will compare them one day 🤔
FULL BREAKDOWN PLEASEE😫
@@A42081 agreed, even better doing OG RE4 and Remake and compare them
You guys ever seen Devil may cry's Dante? I need an analysis of how this Half demon's fighting style 👀
The fact that it even got a short is quite gratifying. Feels like a tease for a longer video for sure. Great breakdown and can’t wait to see more (especially from RE4).
do the remake please
Krausers parasite being a giant fleshy blade was a solid choice by the writers
Reminds me of Parasyte the Maxim
Alex mercer would be proud
Admire it though, it was a sick move
It was indeed sick for a video game.
I remember Leon told Ada Wong to 'use knife instead of handgun next time' in the game resident evil 4.
So now, Ada can tell Leon to 'use handgun instead of knife next time'.
This is hilarious! Haha
If you shoot Krauser during his boss fights he'll tell you to fight like a man lol
@@HKiller45ACPFunny how he decides what a man is. Even though he is less of one physically. Dude is enhanced.
To be fair leon goes straight for his gun in the remake cutscene
@@g.masterlordoftheg-force4770this is just a huge hint since krauser gets 65 damage from each knife hit, while biggest damage in the game is 50 from fully upgraded broken butterfly magnum which costs more than 450k to upgrade. Compare it to a free and infinite knife
You have to love it when Logan and Chad dresses to mimic the characters, Great vid guys
Always good to see knife work guys!
All those years of playing the game and I never noticed Krauser did a knife switch. Awesome vid
Leon made that move to surprise Krauser, and it worked, if you look closely Krauser was starting to rotate on himself to put distance between him and Leon as he was expecting Leon to attack him with the same hand, but Leon knew he would do that, so he anticipated Krauser's move by switching hand and covered the distance Krauser put between them by also rotating on himself which allowed him to still reach Krauser and hit his chest with the knife, if he had used the same hand Krauser would have been too far to reach as he was already about to dodge his attack when Leon changed hand to hit him.
If i've learned anything from Logan over the years : NEVER GIVE YOUR BACK TO THE OPPONENT, WTF!
"Bit of advice, try using knives next time, works better for close encounters"
-Leon S. Kennedy
Also, Chad, you look cool with Beret. And Logan stylin with the flight jacket
I hope you guys do the remake as well as the knife analysis.
Always love the shorts you guys bring, bonus for Logan’s drip
Hope you guys do the remake as well.
Yo! Let’s go! Been waiting for something on this fight since you guys started! Love it!
We have more Resident Evil planned 💪
And that’s why I totally love this😊
You forgot Leon's hair grants him invulnerability when being cool. Spinning is cool.
*Everyone that did not react to quick time events knows this*
*First time is unforgettable, also cool* .
I just got the remake of Resident Evil 4 are you guys going to do anything from that? There are so many knife takedowns!
I think the very reason he did that was to make the same question in Krauser's mind. They are both professional combatants and Krauser wouldn't expect Leon's move like this.
Exactly basically this guy is making the same mistakes as Krauser.
1) Leon baits Krauser by exposing his back in order to attack but Leon actually gets an opening because he let his guard down. This RUclipsr says the same thing Krauser thought "attack".
2) Why Leon would attack from the same side RUclipsr said and maybe thats what Krauser also thought, this was basically a mind game
@@KilluminatiPlusUltraespecially to a more discerning eye, that kind of mix up only works on a professional. A rookie would be less likley to fall for that gambit leon pulled.
good short, I like knife fencing
Thank you bro!!!
💪💪💪
Aye!!!!!!!!!! I'm looking forward to this! 🙏🏽💪
Also Leon shows his back to Krauser, and as youve said logan if you can see the back you can take it.
But Leon doesn’t have wrist control? Could he cut Leon wrist by twisting his hand?
We gave Leon the benefit of the doubt here when it came to wrist control due to video game animations at the time. In the game lore, he has wrist control which causes the knife switch. In real life, debatable. Krauser can probably just cut him by twisting his hand.
I would agree knife switches should only happen at certain moments
You even have a Leon jacket! So much respect for my favourite game. Btw Krauser's knife looks gorgeous.
*Plot armor left the chat*
Finally You did it, could You please do Re 4 remake Knife Attacks
I love tue subtle "cosplays" 😍
He saw the switch and expected a hit from the right.
I absolutely love it, good job guys.
Love, Martina
Leon has plot armor he can do whatever he pleases as long as it looks dope 😂
Can you please breakdown some KOs from the Street Fighter games? Thanks…
Great breakdown guys butni gotta know, are you guys looking to sell that Leon Jacket?
Leon’s logic: Never let ‘em know your next move
👏👍Great breakdown & knife works
thank you for doing my request❤
You’re welcome! Anymore breakdown requests?
Great breakdown as always, guys.
Let me suggest another cool fight scene, usually called "Ada Wong vs the President" from animated movie "Resident Evil Damnation".
It is a short fight but has some interesting moves for both with and without a knife.
Please check it out, see if it worth covering
The spin in exposing his back
Ever since I subscribed to this channel. I was hoping to see the scene brought up. And I'm glad that my wish came true, good job, guys.
We have more Resident Evil planned!
Pls review DnD:HAT fighting scenes
Nice hat Chad ! 🤠
I don’t think so. I won!
See how kauser is better than Leon in knife switch but Leon hits kauser but kauser didn't hit Leon
That my fellow friends is called plot armour 😂
No, Leon basically won the mind game he baited Krauser with exposing his back and then caught him by suprise, this bait has actually worked on me in sparring.
Pro tip: never engage in a knife fight. You will get cut many times and probably die, even if you win. If you absolutely have to, then you already messed up.
you guys already covered this but will you cover the exchange leon and krauser did in the remake?? they fought very differently and id love to see more resident evil!!
Nice jacket btw.
“Yeah but that backflip tho” -probably Leon dodging
Always loved this bit. Might not be practical so much.
Absolutely fucking feral anyway.
Another great breakdown! I also have a request for a short breakdown. In the battle royal scene from the God of Highschool anime, a character named Byeon Jaehee pulls off what looks to be an Ippon Seoi Nage into an arm bar. That seemed like it’d be cool to breakdown, but there are probably other cool scenes from the anime, as well. Just an idea 😊
Kennedy is a showsmen 😂
Can you guys do one for the stealth takedowns in RE4 remake?
This was whole reason I was hyped for scenic fights shorts
You’re missing one vital detail. Lore accurate Leon gets his powers from spinning
I got those rinnegan socks too lol
Krauser probably is better at knife switched due to his experience because as you said knife switches aren’t the best unless you absolutely have to do them. And because Krasuer has been on more missions and fights then Leon he is more knowledgeable on life or death scenarios and how to avoid them. This also ties back to his intro fight where he comments on Leon’s form and in this little spar you have to party and dodge a lot more of his attacks compared to the standard zombies.
Alright I HAVE to know where to get that jacket
And also another killer breakdown
It always looked to me like Krauser read the knife switch coming since he did it first, so the spin to strike from the same quadrant was to preempt his parry. At the same time, yeah, he wouldve got backstabbed.
Yes spinning moves are awesome
Plus it also exposes a blank canvas ready to be sculpted that y when attacked cannot be defended
Once death island comes out, please look at Jill and Leon’s knife fight!
I’m playing the remake rn I’m so excited to see this boss fight!!
Wdym Chad? That's clearly Krauser. Amazing how you got him for this demonstration
I do have to correct you for a moment. When Leon goes for the spin slash Krauser was pushed back and off balance. Not to mention he swapped to the right and attacked to the left most likely to confused an already disoriented Krauser. Thats my take on it.
Leon only needed a golden egg to win this one
I took Leon's switch as a pump fake, like he was in a sword fight or something😅 you putting things together, though. Thanks
Is there a chance for a breakdown of Krauser's knife from RE4?
He got speed stats too 😅
Krauser taught leon most of the things he knows about knife combat so it kinda makes sense that krauser would use this method when he's supposed to and Leon wouldn't
You should cover the Steve vs. Winter Soldier fight in Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier.
Here you go: ruclips.net/video/-Ci6ttRVSRU/видео.html
A suggestion now that I notice that you guys haven't covered it yet. For your next long form video breakdown Some Boyka movies fight scenes, obviously Scott Adkins does some insane kicks but its a very good display of Taekwondo or when he fights michael Jai white fight between Boyka and him or the fight between boyka and the fighter from brazil. awesome kicks all around
Please react to the Lepn v Krauser knife fight in the remake. That one appears more realistic and I feel like it might have more to break down in it
Can you break down the fight between twin cities and atom,or midas v noisy boy from real steel?
I would have hought (not being a trained knife-fighter) that the only real reason to do a drop-switch is if the opponent is using some part of their body to pin or obstruct the movement of your dominant limb. Instead of grappling for a dominant position, if you are dextrous enough you could suddenly make the 'less threatening' hand into the problem. Just switching back and forth 'so they don't know where the strike is coming from' is just asking for you to fumble it by accident, then you're screwed.
It makes sense tho cause leon was just angry and he wasn't as good as he could've been at any other fight and Krusar knew what to do
Even though a twist kick can expose you too much it can also surprise the opponent thinking there's an opening and when he goes to attack he's actually the one to get hit, this has happened to me in sparring. The same happens here just with knives basically he did a tae Kwon do knife switch😛
And also, the spinning move from leon is even more dangerous because he has is back completely open and he can't defend it
Leon win’s cause he’s the protagonist in this story.
Krauser won both Og and Remake fights. But he wasn't counting with the biggest plot armor in Resident Evil franchise
What about Dante from Devil May Cry 5 or 3? I need that broke down plz (Anything Dante moves have fun😉)
It just comes down to Krauser having way more hands on combat experiences whereas Leon's is mainly training and plot armor
Could you cover mist breathing
Can you do metal gear solid CQC?
To look cool
Another thing is Leon does a spin with his knife switch which is something you shouldn’t do in close quarters combat
Everything that Leon does and doesn't make sense can just be explained with "He's very cheesy and wants to look cool 24/7*
Nice socks🎉
Thank you 😎
U are probably right but the way I see it from krauser’s perspective if I saw leon do the knife switch I would have thought he would attack with the right but seeing him come back from the left might have been a way to duke/trick Krauser
I got to be doing this 24/7 in walking dead saints and sinners cause they grab my arm which has the knife in it
Enough of that where did you get the jacket?
Where did he get that jacket
I think the knife fight is better in the remake. I'd like to see your insights about it!!!
Full review un other video please
May have missed it but they didn’t do the knife fight justice in the remake💔
Day 2 of asking for shadow of war takedowns
But surely the point of Leon's knife switch is that Krauser would have expected Leon's knife to attack a little later than it did because the left hand would have struck him later, given his spin?
Is the speed of it duh
BRO THEY LISTENED TO MY COMMENT!!!!
Mr. Chad and Pak-Hyung,Asking for Leons Resident Evil 4 Kicks(Which is 3 simple to know Kicks) Analysis because the Leon has a very realistic kicks and what damage it creates, Pak is the one who can do the demo because he demonstrate kicks or you Mr. Chad because you are cool to Leon S.Kennedy Bomber Jacket. Nice to Mr. Logan to do the demo, though it was Combatives style of Knife fighting.
Reminds me of Doa
