Almost all of the stock images and video clips were not of the RGV. Having said that, the RGV is 90% Hispanic, it is a very homogeneous part of the Country however the people are not discriminatory. The area is turning politically red though but since the area is 90% Hispanic no one who is other than white anglo will not experience discrimination. It is nice to live in an area where Hispanics are not discriminated against, you cant say that about other parts of the country.
@@damonmelendez856 As an educated black man with good income, the lack of other black men in the vicinity is a good thing for me. Theres a wide array of women down here that wonder what a black guy is like but have never been with one, making it all that much easier for me to date vs other areas ive experienced.
Mcallen is the best, We are big enough to be a city, and small enough to care about each other. Lots of places to tour here in the Rio Grande Valley. We even have our own UFO Cult in Weslaco...do a google search you see. We have our very own little island towards the south of the RGV. One thing I complain about is the HEAT. That's it. We don't only have Mexican Food, there is an authentic German Restaurant off Ware Road. We have Middle Eastern food off of 10th Street. Japanese and Chinese food as well. Indian food off of Nolana. We have Korean off of Nolana, and we even have a pure Asian grocery store on 10th Street. We have nationally award-winning public and private schools. We also have camping sites in Cameron County. With all these great things said, be warned, Valley natives have no tolerance for Rude behavior, we don't demand things of hard-working people, we do not discriminate, I don't care what color disability, etc. We are in the mindset of, YOU do YOU and ILL Do ME. I have lived here all my life, and we are slow to change, and these days that's a GREAT thing, we are not plagued by some of the problems other cities around the country face. (Rampant Homelessness, DRUG USE, Prostitution, Gangs, Murders, Cops beating people for no reason, and undocumented people everywhere.) If you have something wonderful to contribute come along, if not stay away.
This video’s clips are all over the place. I’m having a hard time following it because you’ve got clips where you ask one question right next to clips that answer a completely different question.
I am thinking about moving but if I do my income but decease around 1/2 so What’s a good living wage to live in McAllen for a single person with no debt with transportation ?

@@BigBrew4You it's true, we don't play, if you came here thinking you could just be rude, a pushover, then yeah...I can see how the experience was bad. We don't want those kinds of people here. Brown people are the most diverse and most welcoming people. The white people here are also very welcoming and respectful. So if you have none of that, then I can see why you left. Good riddance....just saying. My people are so welcoming and diverse that we have whole BLACK communities in Latin America. Central South America. Can that be said for the continent of Africa...hell na!

Much of McAllen is restricted on Drones so we had to get "Creative" in showing Something!
The RGV has very few blacks, in fact one of the lowest % in the entire country. My family is not complaining.

Not where I live. In my neighborhood, there are maybe 4 of 5 houses with bars
We are looking at houses in the McAllen area. We are currently living in Ohio

Don’t lie about not being safe..
Not lying... I have lived in unsafe places... This is not one of them.
🚨Black people🚨 This ain't a good place for y'all! Don't even unpack! Just turn around and head up US 281 to I-37 north till you hit I-35. 🤷🏿♂️
