I was just listening to my metal playlist in the car and then this sound randomly comes on. i have no idea what it is but i wasn't complaining. i finally realized it was an advertisement and just head banged through the entire thing, but i never looked at the name. best advertisement ever!

In Flames and Five Finger Death Punch apparently had a love child and named it Shattered Sun.

Hmmm....early Soilwork? Chorus sounds like Five Finger Death Punch to me. And musically....its metalcore style...so maybe thats why you think guitars have that Soilwork influence in there maybe?
Well Jessie in the band is a fan of Soilwork and even recorded an album with Dirk on the drums. The album I am talking about was for Jessie's side band that he is the singer/guitarist for called FALL. The sound of that band is very different from the sound in Shattered Sun. Saw these guys at Welcome To Rockville and gave them a listen afterwards. Thought they were pretty good, but this is amazing. I think they have finally found a sound to stick to. Kinda reminds me of In Flames mixed with All That Remains, and thats perfect cause those are two of my favorite bands.
