I never heard of this band until I saw them open for Motionless in White, Ice Nine Kills, and Black Veil Brides in November 2022 (Trinity of Terror tour). Atreyu played this song during their opening act; the lead singer even entered the pit and walked around, high-fiving fans. This song is what led me to pursue more of this band’s music
I've been rocking with Atreyu since their first record but I support their new music. Bands change and evolve. It's part of being an artist. As a fan I support them for trying new musical avenues. It'd be a lot more boring if it was the same stuff regurgitated over and over. Atreyu still rocks!!!! 😎
Exactly, every rock band evolves with the times to stay current with what's trending and hot, yes there are some bands that at one point say that they'll never go pop with their material, however, later on in their group's career they realize that their claim is futile. Staying old school with their sound doesn't really work as time and music evolves, it becomes boring. If they were to bring back their old school sound, they'll modernize it to fit what's trending today. Evolution in both sound and material is key to a band's staying power, despite the claim from old school fans of, "They're not the same band I fell in love with in 2003 and 2004", it's all about survival in today's trending music, regardless of the genre. Most bands who were 'hardcore" in the past, do turn pop, so they can get proper radio play, both local rock radio and satellite.
i would rather hear the same regurgitated shit than the "gang vocals" that all these bands do to get popular. if i have to hear one more band go "heeeeeey heeeeyyy" I'll fucking lose it.
All of you who are saying Atreyu sold out or are just trying to get on the radio.... Remember when Metallica did the same thing??? Atreyu, you still rock!! I really like this song!!!!
@@dianabiffle9812 the fuck? Keep your hostility for other shit. This is music. I get it, everyone has preferences but that doesnt mean you have to wish death on someone else. Get a grip ffs.
In case you guys didn't know, this album hit number 2 on US Top Hard Rock albums charts. They deserve every bit of it. Just remember that it's not all about screaming and shit. They sound passionate on this album which was what was MISSING from the last album. Atreyu forever regardless of what the haters say.
Sad for all the negativity. Love this album, love Atreyu, you guys absolutely kill it. Music is about more than sounding a certain way, it's about the meaning it has to some, the lives lyrics can touch, the art, the beauty. ❤🤘
@Abysmal Horrors dude youre stupid for typing that, most people listen to music for the meaning of the lyrics as well as the beauty of the art, no true fan of a genre listens to that genre purely for the backing track, yeah dont get me wrong it adds to it but it aint everything the lyrics and what it means to the audience is what makes it a good song, if you dont like the song then thats fair play, thats your opinion, our opinion is that we enjoy listening to this music purely for its meaning and its affects on us, please educate yourself a little bit before you embarrass yourself and seem unnecessarily angry about something very minor.

This album sucks it doesn’t show that being unique is a thing anymore, thats what atrayu was being unique, for me the lyrics and sound calmed me down from the first 2 albums so for me this sucks because it’s trying to get on the radio and be more mainstream just like Hottopic and any other store that sell band merch. But yes you are entitled to your opinion as is everyone else, glad you like what you do just make sure it’s because of you and not because it sounds like every basic so called rock band making it on the radio and no this is nit bashing you like i said it’s an opinion
Death Metal- “But, but... Lyrics!” How can you type this neohipster garbage about lyrics on a song that 90% of the lyrics are “Hey” and “The time is Now”. . .
Realistically. I will always support Atreyu. The love I have for this group is absolute. On that note, their change in sound is a part of evolution all bands go through. We tore up the pits and kicked ass with every unique, individual, one of a kind, hard hitting album. I hope with this they get radio play the main stream eats them up, they've paid their dues and honestly they've given us a few decades of bad ass music we can all rejoice in. It still has their eclectic sound it's just a bit more comprehensible across a larger demographic. I think this is a band trying something new just like what they did on Lead Sails, they didn't care what people thought then when they wanted to try something and they shouldn't now, at the end of the day Atreyu is a phenomenal band and if they want to experiment than hell yeah and ill still be listening, I've listened to Atreyu for as long as I can remember and they are still good to this day. Loving this track. And reading the comments... "OMG! How dare a band do their own thing and try out new sounds!" Well, I'm glad they did. Liking this, discovering and liking their old stuff as well.
sorry but "do their own thing"? as far as I know they are still attached to a big label, not like UK`s WSS (While She Sleeps) who really do their own thing... (please correct me if I am wrong)
People change. Music changes. The world changes. You either like it or you don't. But don't sit there and talk shit about people putting their heart into music that moves them forward.
Everyone is always complaining about a bands new sounds, or how they have changed. Waaaaa, they changed their sound, waaaa they are doing something different. Its not their fault you are still stuck in the old and cant accept the new. Bunch of whinny babies. Grow up. What have you released recently? Nothing.... go figure.
I will admit I'm too fond of the verses, or the "ay ay" spots, but damn this chorus gives me the same chills that his voice has always given me. It's like heaven listening to!

Their old stuff still exists. It’s not like they are going to stop playing it. My favorite is death grip, but I don’t want another album like it. If I want to listen to something like that album, I’ll listen to that album.
I enjoyed this, even though it's different to their old stuff. I know music is particularly sentimental but we grow as people so bands' music will also grow.. Those that say they have done this to get on the radio.. I can't imagine capital playing this.. Most radio stations won't even touch rock music..
Atreyu got me back with the last album by trying to go back to there roots a little bit but after this im out again. After hearing the new stuff they are trying to go main stream again. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Peace
Same with me. That last album was decent and the songs that sounded somewhat mainstream actually deserved radio play and didn't sound forced. This sounds forced as all hell. Sounds like they hired pop song writers.
theyre not necessarily trying to go mainstream, if anything theyre maturing as musicians, most bands that have been around for 10 plus years tend to do this, for an example: Asking Alexandria, Deaf Havana, The Amity Affliction, BFMV, Avenged Sevenfold, and even Trivium (i would include BMTH but i feel as if they tried to go mainstream so ill leave that) They all changed theyre sound to match them as musicians as well as to match the changing times, not just to make a quick buck. i get what you mean though it was an abrupt change in sound but you gotta think between songs like this one and becoming the bull or even ex's and oh's theres like almost if not 10 year difference between those songs, there is bound to be a huge difference in sound. (excuse the paragraph dont take it as me ranting or even arguing or anything like i just thought i might share some information with like minded metal heads)
The Curse is one of my favorite albums of all time, Long Live was a fantastic return to your roots and even Lead Sails was listenable, but now this band is dead to me. RIP good Atreyu. You're in the same place with old A7X, BFMV, All That Remains, etc.

Why do you think they shouldn't get equal playtime on the radio? I'm sick and tired of actually playing the radio and never hearing a band I love not on there. They deserve air time too just as much as any pop group and rapper.
Are you trying to say this sounds like linkin park? because if so, you clearly didnt listen to linkin park. You just sound ignorant and butthurt that atreyu isnt the same band they used to be. Mike shinoda said it best "everyone wants the next thing to be just like the first."
I guess it's just the aging process. When yiu get older and probably been in the musuc sence as long as they have yoyr tastes change. It could also maybe be all demanded by the record company though. I'm trying not to be too negative on this and its bettet than some more pop stuff like imagine dragons but it still feels generic and made for radio and background movie trailer music
I knew I couldn’t be the only one who thought the same thing!! The ‘hey’ chanting and guitar riff that enters in the beginning and bridge of the song are such a rip off of “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark” it’s insane. Besides that, this song is really cookie cutter and generic. Not a terrible song per se, just could be a lot better.
This band was one of the very first bands that got me into metal/metalcore and above. To this day I will always be grateful and very appreciative of them and their music. I've watched a lot of bands get more soft over the years and I do understand their reasoning. Change is good and they have to be able to try new things. I will miss the old days but I still support and love you guys.
Really loving this video! So stocked for this album, especially the song "Superhero" featuring M Shadows from Avenged Sevenfold and Aaron Gillespie from Underoath! It will be the longest song on the album and I'm just sooooo hype for it haha
Stewart hanes Lol, you mean their shitty Madness soundtrack? I’m talking like The Fall Of Ideals ATR, or even This Probably Won’t End Well. Unless they have a new song besides the new album I haven’t heard. Don’t get me wrong I used to love ATR, they just switched to the mainstream metal crap. I wouldn’t have a problem with it if he sounded good but his voice just doesn’t fit the genre.
Trying to get that radio sound I see, smart move to gain a broader audience. It’s not bad but it’s insanely boring and I’ve heard it 1000 times over... I’ll stick to old Atreyu
I love all the shit talkers acting like this band hasn't been around long enough to grow. You can call it mainstream all you want. This is definatly a much more mature Atryeu. Our son grew up guys.
They've still got some heavy offerings on the album, it just irritates me that Alex is at the point of afraid to fall back on his growls, he's never been good at keeping in tune especially at lives shows.
I'll give Atreyu some airplay tonight. It's cool of NBC to give them some time during the NHL playoffs to get their stuff out there. Free publicity- is usually a good thing. I'm not much into Atreyu. For me, it's because a couple of the Atreyu guys- they grew up listening to Cyclone Temple, which is a great and underrated band- apparently not many people know about.. . I'm retired, but Cyclone Temple- that IS a band I would come out of retirement for to help out- they're my hometown people. They're in that last big wave of thrash metal, before that genre goes off the 'corporate map' basically... -Jim (monolith 1989, retired)
So we had one good Atreyu album, and now they're back to trying to produce radio rock. Not gonna lose hope completely though. Maybe it's just a few songs off of the album like this.
I never heard of this band until I saw them open for Motionless in White, Ice Nine Kills, and Black Veil Brides in November 2022 (Trinity of Terror tour). Check out their album "The Curse" this band is amazing.
I was at the 2019 tour with motionless in white and Atreyus light show and performance was insane
They’re underrated imo
I bet that was a badass show!!
I'm enjoying this. Been listening to Atreyu since The Curse. Enjoy it all.

Just heard this on the stanly cup finals
I did too
Ay-ay, ay, ay-ay-ay-ay
Ay-ay-ay-ay, ay
Ay-ay, ay, ay-ay-ay-ay
Ay-ay-ay-ay, ay

Time for dreaming's done, time to face the sun
Flying high above the world
It's a new life, it's a new mind

Ay-ay-ay-ay, ay, the time is now
Ay-ay, ay, ay-ay-ay-ay
Ay-ay-ay-ay, ay, the time is now
I cannot stop, see another way
Am I looking for another cheap escape?
I've been pushing forward, crushing everything
It's a push and pull
It's a give and take
Flying high above
And it's a new life, it's a new mind

God forbid entertainers get paid for what they do
Why do you think they shouldn't get equal playtime on the radio? I'm sick and tired of actually playing the radio and never hearing a band I love not on there. They deserve air time too just as much as any pop group and rapper.
This is my favorite song no Joke
I've never heard a more disappointing song from them. I unfollowed them from spotify because of this album
I have always loved Atreyu and always will!
This sounds like the good old days of Atreyu. I want more like this
Such a well written song. Love it
👏👏👏❤️🤘
There is a reason why in the 2000 I listened to Atreyu, not Linkin Park
R.I.P. Chester!!!
Agreed bud
This is nothing like linkin Park in the early-mid 2000s lmao
In the end, it doesnt ever matter
Are you trying to say this sounds like linkin park? because if so, you clearly didnt listen to linkin park. You just sound ignorant and butthurt that atreyu isnt the same band they used to be. Mike shinoda said it best "everyone wants the next thing to be just like the first."
Saw these guys open last night in concert and this was their first song. Kickass guys hope to see u again🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
You didn't think the lead singer was out of tune? Not the drummer the other one
The lead singer is the drummer and no i dont think the back up screamer was out of tune at all. They kicked ass.
But this is one of the first times i heard these guys so i dont know them all that well but from what i saw in hartford they impressed me
Every artist/band evolves and grows. Just like you're probably not the same person you were 10 years ago. It's just the name of the game. Get over it.
Why do so many Metalcore bands try to sound like imagine dragons these days. It's a shame...
MetalguitarTom I agree, what happened to the actual metal
@@dianabiffle9812 well at least we still have Bands like aild, Architects or polaris
It's a new subgenre called dadcore lmao.
MetalguitarTom also, don’t forget about the Ghost Inside
I clicked it and first thought it was fall out boy, not really the Atreyu I enjoy but I still love them haha
Lol FOB has way whinier vocals and little to no guitars.
Yes it is time, Atreyu
This band was one of the very first bands that got me into metal/metalcore and above. To this day I will always be grateful and very appreciative of them and their music. I've watched a lot of bands get more soft over the years and I do understand their reasoning. Change is good and they have to be able to try new things.
I will miss the old days but I still support and love you guys.
Brandon's voice is so good
Didnt know Luke Gallows played drums. The good brother!!
This song is good, very catchy, constantly stuck in my head since i first heard it... but Atreyu will never top "The Theft"
Well pumped for this album! Every song is different.... Almost like they've spliced all the eras of Atreyu! Enjoying this alot.
Really loving this video! So stocked for this album, especially the song "Superhero" featuring M Shadows from Avenged Sevenfold and Aaron Gillespie from Underoath! It will be the longest song on the album and I'm just sooooo hype for it haha
😮 I didn’t know about this! I’ll have to check it out for sure
Aaron huh? Intrested to see the 2 drum/singers from my childhood to work together!!
Brandon and Shadows collaborating again?
KINGHS P97 “Again?” 😯
rele venti Go Alone by Hell or Highwater. It's a kickass song, definitely check it out!!
Atreyu Forever
Come to Brazil!!!
Besides all these critics, I really enjoy this. The voice behind Atreyu always sounds amazing.
I can't contain myself never felt so alive I'm past the breaking point I set my soul on🔥 love this!!!!
Alguém do Brasil aqui??? #atreyucometobrazil
Sim, Brasil aqui
ATREYU COME TO BRAZIL
Sempre!! Sdds do old school atreyu
Fuck off
Aqui ❤
Bullet For My Valentine, All That Remains and now Atreyu. Who’s next? Wage War? Born Of Osiris? Polaris? Bleed From Within?
《RtC Phantom》 forgot parkway drive lol
Trey Sullivan I don’t listen to them much anymore.
Listen to all that remains new song, heavy AF
Stewart hanes Lol, you mean their shitty Madness soundtrack? I’m talking like The Fall Of Ideals ATR, or even This Probably Won’t End Well. Unless they have a new song besides the new album I haven’t heard. Don’t get me wrong I used to love ATR, they just switched to the mainstream metal crap. I wouldn’t have a problem with it if he sounded good but his voice just doesn’t fit the genre.
No I'm not, new song just came out, called fuck love, check it out you'll like it 😉
Wow! At least all of em are still in the band
Excelente banda!!
Trying to get that radio sound I see, smart move to gain a broader audience. It’s not bad but it’s insanely boring and I’ve heard it 1000 times over... I’ll stick to old Atreyu
Then you're not a real fan of the band if you cant just enjoy the music.
ruclips.net/video/cLBAFJWbd30/видео.html
crap bag if he doesn’t like all their music, then he isn’t a real fan?
@@crapbag666 its just his opinion
crap bag old Atreyu is so much better than this.
I expected a little scream but the song is awesome ;)
EL Kafrones there was a little screaming. 4 of them towards the end of video. Lol :(
I love all the shit talkers acting like this band hasn't been around long enough to grow. You can call it mainstream all you want. This is definatly a much more mature Atryeu. Our son grew up guys.
Mature? More like a waste I love there music bc of it aggression if i wanna hear shit like this I'll listen to the radio 😥
Great song! Rock on! 🤘😎🤘
How about a video for Anger Left Behind? 😭😭 It's my favorite of the 3 songs released.
Me too
Super mainstream sounding.... go get paid boys.
CloverTheCat Pizza make that paper!
They've still got some heavy offerings on the album, it just irritates me that Alex is at the point of afraid to fall back on his growls, he's never been good at keeping in tune especially at lives shows.
CloverTheCat Pizza and they fucking shall
people don't understand that bands/artists evolve and change their sound with time....much like everyone - they grow up. and that's not a bad thing.
Fall Out Dragons
Hahahahaha
Thousand Foot Fallout Dragons
Best band ever!
I'll still be listening to this into 2030 it's just good stuff
So we had one good Atreyu album, and now they're back to trying to produce radio rock. Not gonna lose hope completely though. Maybe it's just a few songs off of the album like this.
ruclips.net/video/cLBAFJWbd30/видео.html
Frisbee I don’t care about the fact that they are trying to sound mainstream. This song is hype for me and is amazing.
