You guys are truly the best band. You are some sort of mystical gift that keeps giving. I wish I could know how we end up having the same exact thoughts and experiences. I'm nearly 29 years old now, I've been listening since middle school. I feel like we've grown up together. I've never even written a RUclips comment longer than a handful of words before. This just had to be said. I hope you're still there in another few years when we're in the next stage of life. You are so incredibly underrated. Your music changed my life, probably saved my life several times, and continues to be an inspiration to me. Thank you so much.

Don't care about what some people are saying about them not being the band they used to be, all you get to listen is "ah I they became mainstream, ah they are not the band we knew", well open your ears because they are. You know what, they are not gonna remain 20 forever, as people grow up they want to experience different things and this is the path they chose, they matured as a band and they've done it in a way I (and many other) like to listen, so that's good enough for me! I really like this song and The Time Is Now. I'm so happy they are back making music and I believe this is the reason THEY keep making music, it's something that makes them happy, it's a way of living. I really like their new stuff and I've been a fan of them since 2007 when they released Becoming the Bull and Falling Down, probably as excited as then if not even more.
This song and the message are just plain awesome. It is great to see a band progressing from brooding to badass and now contemplative. The lyrics are fantastic and it still has some of that old school beautiful atreyu smack you in the face.

Now that I've read about the theme of this album and what inspired each song, I have much more respect for this song. I've always had much respect for the band. Truly intelligent and gifted artists.
Been a huge fan since I first heard them when I was younger with my sister blasting their music and am still just as much of a fan now, I love the fact that they are using Porter's vocals more and more often, seeing these guys live was one of the best experiences I've ever had!
I like this song much more than the other single But it doesn’t feel like Atreyu to me... it feels a bit more like Hell or Highwater But Atreyu is my favorite band So I’m sure it’ll grow on me I probably just sound like the “back in my day” jerk. Haha
Definitely prefer this song greatly over the other. Brandon is undoubtedly taking a much larger role in the band. It sounds fresh though with a little of the older flare. I dig it a lot. Looking forward to the album.
It's cool. But they sound like Modern Day Papa Roach now. Without the Hip hop influience. The second song Anger left Behind has more Hardcore influence from Alex. They definitely went back to the Lead Sails Sound on this. Same Producer

I honestly can't tell if the music back in 2006 was objectively better or if I'm just being a nostalgic dick. I respect you guys for keeping the band going and you'll always be listed as one of my main influences for getting into music (even though I make mainly pop/rnb now). Right Side of The Bed/Her Portrait in Black/Bleeding Mascara will always have a place in my heart - and I'm holding out hope that one day one of your new songs will too. I'm gonna keep listening :)
I've thought about this a lot, and while nostalgia definitely plays a role, I honestly think older metal/post-hardcore is authentically better creatively, emotionally, and in complexity... Give it a few more years and we might start to see some new artists w/ new ideas and hopefully breathe new life into this genre.

I had no idea there was new Atreyu. I'm disappointed I didn't hear it sooner. I do still love this band and this is one of the first ever bands that got me into metalcore and further metal. So I'll forever be grateful and support them. Obviously I miss their older sound but this song was still incredible. Hell yeah!

Great song. The punk influence in the second verse was a bit unexpected, but I like it a lot! been listening to them since like 2000. I know they have punk influence (it shows in some songs), but honestly I think that's the most punk sounding thing they've ever done (maybe I'm wrong, hard to recall their whole discography), even if it's only one verse really. Glad they're letting it show a bit more. One of the reasons they're my favorite band is because they're not afraid to show a variety of influences, a lot of diversity, rock/metal/hardcore/punk, not many bands can pull off so many sounds and do it well, especially the older rock/metal sound ( "Blow" for example).
Not sure if you're being serious or not, but I've listened to them before. I listen to all kinds of different stuff. If you're talking about my punk comment, it's more reminiscent of old AFI or Anti-Flag or something to me tbh, but point taken.

I'm ok with them going in this direction. The great thing about atreyu's old music is it'll always still be there so I can just go listen to it if I wanna hear old atreyu. But I also enjoyed hell or highwaters style in a different way so I can appreciate the new atreyu style. Atreyu keep it up!
