I miss the days when video vixens had real bodies and when they also had beautiful brown and dark skin black women in their videos. ❤️
Yes!!! Those were the days.
They chose the girls with desired body types that people get surgery to get today so it’s not that good and it was a small amount of darkskin girls
@@vadvitch yes now we have more dark skin girls in music videos
Back in the day I wasn't even sure if light skinned women existed lol
Boob jobs and nose jobs were very popular back then don’t be fooled
Being a vixen was never the end goal for a lot of them! They knew that lifestyle wouldn’t last forever, get in, get the money, and leave.
Smart ladies!
and so many of them walked out without being a rapper's baby mama
@@zahram2018 Well the new trend is to be a Babymama no matter who its by
@@zahram2018 Most of Every black female either wanna become a bm or already one (Not judging) just saying how Each Generation and trend will change
@@dafabulous7398 and that’s so weird to me! I wish all the current girlies the best, but they could stand to learn the tricks to the trade they’re in.
I see Black Femininity TV, I click 🤷🏽♀️
With the quickness!
I agree lol
Lol ON SIGHT!
Immediately!!!! 🥰
basically!
They did well for themselves. I respect it.
Yes the fact that these women went on to get their education is respect! 😄😄
I couldn’t agree more.
If you're not savvy enough to monetize your beauty and charisma , then you have silently agreed to be used up and then replaced and forgotten as well . 😗
I was thinking the same thing and the fact that a lot of them went on to get degrees is wonderful.
I know, shoot most of them are doing better than most of the people who call them video hoes. Now what?
Damn they doing better than some of the rappers whose videos they were in! Good for them
they were not locked in dodgy 360 deals. plus most of those rappers could not read for shit. we've always known the vixens were smarter. at least those that didn't get taken advantage of. because those ninjas always wanted to smash.
Lol lol hilarious
Lmaaaaooo 😭
where is the lie? 🤣🤣
Word !!!!
00s video vixens outfits were on a different level
I love seeing girls with that aesthetic now
Ok?
Is it just me or did the video vixens back then just used to have such a natural allure to themselves?
Key word "natural"
They did
Their bodies were real! 😩🔥🔥
Natural and hungry for fame
I remember watching all these ladies growing up. The level of nostalgia is crazy rn!
ebony you'd smash !
This is why the 90s /00s babies (not all)is kinda fucked up..because they were subjected to over sexual shit.
The ebony era was real back then
Sincerely looks like a real life Bratz doll. Gorgeous!
La’Rose 💙Ikr💚
I concur 100%
All these women back then were really SMART, black women are the ish..they knew that that ish wouldn’t last forever...these girls today ain’t got the couth😂😂😂💯✌🏽
Right. I said the exact same thing 💯
Facts
So true, these insta girls are here for today and today only.
Lmao. My grandma always used to say couth 🤣❤️
Today's girls have more resources and aren't exploited like the girls back in the day... they'll have enough Birkins from these mfs to survive
Back when there was natural bodies and clean/fresh makeup that didn't take away from how someone actually looks 😫💗
I was thinking the same. Back when people did less and still looked beautiful.
@Blue Siren I hope it does come back. Its beginning to look unhealthy and the obsession over the perfect coca cola body is insane now!
@@tabithagazelle2364 yesss sometimes less is more!
Hey black feminty can you a wayens brothers biopic
Lol sure...
/.\aliyah 😫🙏🏼 had to take a moment for babygirl💗
IKR. Rest easy
Yesss ❤️✨🙏🏾 I love her so much!
💯
My love rip to her.
Beauty and the brains.... they didn't rely on just their appearances. Kudos to these women for getting educated!
Frfr
The 2000s had great music and movies with no corona
The good days ☺️
Them was some real good days? Great days
The music was starting to be over materialistic with the bling bling era of the late 90s ...so it was going in the wrong direction.
Actually coronavirus was a thing from SARS which was a TYPE of coronavirus.
@Blue Siren 2000s is coming back actually! It’s the 20 year cycle, a lot of ppl are into the 00s looks like y2k. I can say this as someone in Gen z
I love the fact that they all stayed on their grind. Instead of allowing the industry to chew them up and spit them back out. You can’t just be a pretty face without ambition.
💯
Sincerely Ward is fabulously stunning 🗣
She is!
Crazy how 'vixens' roles have evolved to today. The black video vixens paved the way for the IG girls no doubt 🙌🏾❤️
Sexy women have ALWAYS been featured throughout human history.
I feel like racially ambiguous and lighter skinned women are more prevalent now than back then😭😭😭
Many of them just LOOKED darker on camera then. But as shown in this video, they were indeed lighter/ambiguous women
@@LisaF777 Exactly!!
True that's why most of them eventually went to college.
@@LisaF777 the women in this video look black to me so definitely not racially ambiguous, brown skinned too
I think its because of social media. But they were definitely popular back then
I loooove how these girls had rangeeee different looks & hair doos half the time I didn’t realize it’s the same girl. Gorgeous.
These women were like the most beautiful women on earth to me when I was 10 Lool
They still are some of the most beautiful, especially considering all the fakeness now.
@@Liiinda4 I agree and tbh I don’t think these women gave me an “unrealistic” beauty standard . Lol back then you just had to have a fit body and a pretty face . That’s a reasonable standard in comparison to today’s !
I’m 36 so I grew up on these videos.. I used to sit in my room all day wishing I looked like these girls or that guys would look at me the way the looked at these girls. I was a late bloomer and really overweight so boys were really mean. 20 years later I’ve lost over 100 pounds and I’m pretty cute lol...so anybody having a 2000 party when Rona gone, pls get at me so I can act a damn fool 😩....don’t judge 😜 lol
This! I have almost the same story except I was underweight but people were still mean lol
I' m happy for you.Live your life💃
SAME LIFE
I'm 38 and I felt the same way. It wasn't until I turned 22 I started to get a lot of attention. I remember watching the videos from that era and thinking the same thing.
Thats a bet!
Tae Heckard would be a good video vixen to cover she was in everything in the ‘00s
I agree
Woow the camera lighting back then made these light skin/ambiguous women look brown or dark skin damn....and here I thought we had more representation back then
Right, I thought these women were brown and dark skin too.
Alot of BW who have been in the industry do glutathione injections and pills to make skin look lighter naturally. Asains put it on the map. Cs alot of the lighties back in the day still look similar in tone now. Even with bad camera lighting.
We still did have much more representation than today
They had natural beauty and unique looks. Nowadays, everyone is a carbon copy of the kardashians who desperately want to look like Black women. I really hate today's IG esthetic
Good old days
y’all act like colorism wasn’t a thing back then. and there was also lots of bodyshaming and ed’s
Not everyone is a carbon copy of the kardashians. I don’t know anyone outside of Instagram who looks like that
No lied told!
Wow you are really the goat for figuring all this out
Damn finally some good content...keep em coming lady🏁
Eggsacly
All her content is bomb
Brains and beauty for all of them.
Say it again
I remember watching these girls when I was young I wanted to be a video vixen so bad and model for King magazine 😩😂😂. Instagram came now ever is just fake. How times have changed
Yessssssss
What's crazy is that nothing really changed.
We just now have social media and onlyfans.
But alot of women on onlyfans are smart. They build up they money, go to school, buy homes and cars.
Its a hustle. Its not gonna last forever but it'd a hustle.
That's why I respect them and video vixens all together
It's so refreshing to these women pursue their desired careers after their modeling careers. This is why I don't judge anyone who's a sex worker or entertainer because some of your best doctors, nurses, lawyers, engineers, culinary chefs were strippers or video models at one point.
My childhood soundtracks
A lot of the girls have traditional careers now after a college education which is cool to see.
I heard Sweetie's mom is doing Great. I also like the girl from Soul Plane and Friday After Next
K.d. Aubert
@@traviswashington9111 that was my boo!
Those would be great for Pt3!
What’s her name?
i just finished all my hardddd exams !! thank u for uploading
Congrats on finishing your exams! I did as well. Enjoy your break before the new semester!!
@@lala40121 Thank you so much☺️☺️ And congrats to you too !!
Girl me too. Just got done with my exams too today. I'm ready for this winter break.
I’d recommend discussing Melyssa Ford, Selita Ebanks (is she a video vixen), and Karrine Steffans. But Karrine may need a mini-doc of her own.
I believe they are featured in part 1.
They have one out ft karrine n melissa
Lisaraye ki toy johnson
@@protectedpeace2649 where?
And Gloria too
Please include Angel Lola Luv in the next vixens video. She had an interesting career
Yes she did
Lola Monroe ***
She was in the part 1 video that she put out about a year or so ago
@@mileshamorrison9064 oh! Thanksss!
@@sashazor3o I knew and loved her as Angel Lola Luv. Lola Monroe was when she tried to go the rapper route lol
I was very young growing up in the 2000s so I could not be able to watch certain music videos but now as an adult looking back, I can't help but realize how much things were different back then compared to now. Also I admire how these women are more than just their beauty and are really smart academically.
I’m glad to see with these women became really smart women amazing
Frfr
I love the video I’m glad that most of them went to college and pursued other careers
Black women stay wise, sexy, and on our grind!
You should do beyond scared straight where are they now
They are gorgeous and are doing very well. I know it took you a long time to get all of this information for us & we appreciate you. Thank you for this video
Please do more, video vixens back in the days were so beautiful and authentic we need more! Part 3 please
01:35 this lady was booked and busy OK! Almost every music video had her.
Right! I saw her on almost every video as a kid. She was in Pt 1 of this series
That's K.D. Aubert. She's beautiful!
@@user-dv3kq3rm4h Very beautiful hey
I love this. I loved our 2000s video girls. They all did SO well for themselves dispite the Fact my mother HATED me watching music videos all day 🤭🤣🤣 I turned out just fine btw🤣🤣
Love your intro and your content ❤️
It's the best!!
This channel has taught me more about black pop culture than anything else. All the gaps I had gets filled in with your amazing content:)
Very informative..ladies prioritizing on their futures
So nice to hear about these ladies. Never been into the rap scene, so only heard about video vixens, never by name. But I've always been an Aaliyah fan, so that part was very cool. Thank you for sharing. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😀
Can you cover the girl who Nelly slid the credit card down her butt in the infamous Tip Dill video?
Yaaayy! I always look forward to your "Where are they now" videos! 🥰
Good to hear most of them started their own businesses, studied to get degrees, etc. Surprised you havent mentioned 'Superhe*ad' in part 1 or 2
I liked this before the video even started! This is hands down one of my favorite RUclips channels!
It’s the theme music for me! Gets me EVERY TIME!! I love this channel!!
I love your channel, queen. Tysm for the content! Esp on Elektrik Red
Yes!! You always come through with these videos 🙌🏽
I love EVERYTHING about your channel love. Keep up the great work!
This girls WERKED okay? Lol.. they weren't lazy. They all were in tons of videos and movies. I wonder if it was good eating or if it was a crazy game.
Wow...your research and editing skills are amazing! Much appreciated!
Yes all my jams im so happy everyone is doing well. Im also happy you made a part II of video vixens cause I always wondered what ever happened to these girls.
Love this channel so much. Thank you for the awesome upload before I go to work 💜
One of my favorite channels. Keep em coming! Great videos. 🔥🔥
*Love these types of videos!💕*
These was the days women had fresh makeup, not ratchet looking, NO long razor freddy kreuger nails, just a fresh white tip.
Whew yes lord
@Mrs. Arthur Morgan exactly. my lord .
I burst out laughing at, "No long razor freddy krueger nails."
😂😂😂😂😂
Because I thought on ladies in that industry nails today.
Yes they did wear them..that's where people get them from now...please stop
I agree, these Woman today looking like Edward scissorhandsss
Love the intro music keep that it never gets old. As we'll as everything else that you have done & doing. I love your channel keep those videos coming.❤
Not sure if you have done any video vixens from the 80s & 90s? That could be next.
Thank you for sharing Black Femininity TV.
I enjoy your contents.👍
Be Safe Everyone🌎😷
I love this channel!!!!!!The music takes me back to grandmas 😍😘😘
My favourite was Pasha de Matas, the main girl on Hot in Herre !
I love this channel the nostalgia just keeps me watching more videos
I love your content! It's nice seeing where all these ladies have ended up and the lives they've built for themselves. Not to mention your other videos and where all these familiar faces are these days. Keep it up! I watch 'em all!
You JUST dropped this?!?! 🤯 Yesss! I love your message, motto and content. Please continue doing what you're doing! It's needed and appreciated love! ❤
Thank you making this!
Who knew I grew up with Leslie through the screen?? I loved all of the videos that I didn’t realize she was in, and I LOOOVED Electrik Red. I still have the How To Be a Lady cd lol
I love it! Such a throwback for the early 2000s era!
I love the intro music to your videos! It’s a vibe lol
Great doc as always. And I love the intro always
Your intro always gets me hyped for the video!
BET Uncut, King magazine...all things I knew I shouldn’t be looking at as a child.
Your channel reminds me of the best parts of my childhood straight heart warming nostalgia
so obsessed w this channel, its like a sunday morning cartoon for me. Living for the casual viewing.
With your beautiful professional voice a your good content I can watch you all day!😍😍 Keep up the good work girl! 😘
I remember Tawny Dashl as the love interest in Tryese "How You Gonnna Act Like That". You must cover Karrine Steffens aka Elsiabeth Ovelsteen
As a young teen, these women had skin tones and features that reinforced my own confidence, which was crucial at that age. Today's young brown-skin and deeper-toned girls don't have nearly as many images to look to and see something of themselves in. Some people felt video vixens as a concept were trashy or sexist but I disagree! It is very important to see women with your features being desired and elevated. 💋
Accept for they weren’t actually brown and dark skinned women tho... they heavily tanned to appear that way as this video shows they were in fact light bright and yellow ambiguous women
They were sooo beautiful!
Secretly u wanted petty pablo to call your name in that song. Smh. Lol.
So true but I knew he would never 😔😂
He says my name in the song Lol I never liked that. My friend's and cousins. Sister always thought that was funny and still do 😂
🤣🤣😂😂
Nah I was like 11 when that song came out and I felt like I needed holy water every time that song came up on my iPod mini 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
I love part 1 so far and i cant wait for part 2
You're SO amazing for making these videos.
Great updates on these beautiful ladies !
I love your videos, your content is so necessary... it brings sweet memories of my childhood 😢 ❤, the girl that I'm intrigued about is the girl from Hot in herrre, she was gorge n lil nasty too😜
This was a great spotlight. I was a fan of many of these ladies and I also miss Electrik Red...that group was largely slept on. It is great that these women continued to thrive beyond their initial stardom
You, do so much great work towards these videos!. Thanks for covering the group Electric Red because I always want to know what happened to these women
I love your content! I'd love to see a documentary/update video on the artist formerly known as Karrine Steffans, aka superhead! She changed her name and is a writer under that name now.
I'd love to see you do one on Trinidad Valentin (Saweetie's mom) next!
All of them are so friggin GORGEOUS 😍
Beauty and brains. I had no idea how the women ended up after the videos. Thanks for posting this series!
I really like how you focused on their accomplishments because most videos talking about the 2000’s video vixen does the opposite . It’s good to focus on facts and spread positive vibes👌🏾
Your show reminds me of the old-school shows I love the intro you do a really good jod
Wow good job on this one💃🏾 You went back wayyyy back back into time... I see you did your Googles 😉
These woman are all a 20 everything about the 90s and 2000s vixens nobody compares to them ✨️
Yasss degrees ,businesses etc! I love us ✊🏾💕
Tomika Skanes, Denyce Lawton, Ebony Jackson, Carla Campbell, Lanisha Cole, The Glenn Twins, Natasha Ellie, Miya Granatella, KiToy Johnson and Lashontae Heckard are some other ones who popular at the time as well. They would be great for Part 3.
Thank you for another informative video, glad to see these women succeed in life behind just a pretty face.
