Before anyone asks, brands by rappers will be a separate video and yes I had to cut the intro because of copyright issues. New intro coming soon!
Sad! I love the full version of that song. By the way, what song is that?
Next time can ya'll do a 90's throwback of any topic please N thank 😊🙏🏾☺🙂😉😀 u
I swear I really love this channel..so perfectly put together, the editing on point. Wishing you so much success and love BlackFemininityTV 😌
What was the name of the intro song? I'm sad you had to cut it
Aww! That song is 🔥!
I think if Andre released it now, he would be more successful. A lot of black guys dress like this. He was ahead of the game
Genuine question: where do they dress like that? Where I live and the people I follow online I don’t see it. So just curious where you’ve seen it
Yeah! I thought of that too. He was just ahead of his time.
@@TheLovesnowangel A lot of skater boys , and TIK tok boys as well . I’m in high school so I would say a lot of the young guys dress like that
MRZ QUINTIN I guess it depends on what area you live in. I live near a University in Canada and a lot of black guys dress like that here.
Relaunch
Andre 3000’s was fire, structured, and aged extremely well. He needs to gives this venture another go.
Agreed
Agreed
I agree! Very nice clothes.
I agree! These are the styles the young boys and athletes are wearing
I said the same thing! His clothes were nice!
The timing was off for Andre. Had he dropped a line now or within the past 5 years it would have done so much better. Black men are more tailored now so the prep theme would have been appealing and the market isn't over saturated with celeb clothing lines anymore
Exactly! It would been a lot more successful just wrong timing.
I would wear Andre’s clothing
I honestly find it hard to believe he was doing a line for black men as the target audience, judging by the stores his line was carried in. That's Andre's fault. Why didn't he put his line in stores most of us go to?
@@heyyall5651 that’s what I thought too. Not a lot of black people could afford Barney’s clothes at the time. Sean John and Roca Wear were at more affordable stores that’s why a lot us wore them back then. But if he dropped it now at Barney’s it would do a lot better.
Agreed
Andree 3000 clothing line was gorgeous 👏🏽
Totally agree - ahead of its time if you ask me. Absolutely loved all of the looks 🥰
Reminds me of Tyler the Creators vibe now
They were wonderful. People just didn’t get it.
It was, but who was wearing those "shorts"
Omg it was gorgeous
I so think Andre 3000 brand would work for the times today.
Hard agree, he's always been ahead of his time 😍😍
His designs were super dope, but it failed because his fans can't afford that shit, I would rock all of it today for a decent price.
Most definitely agree
Totally agree. I kind of draw a connection/inspo between Benjamin Bigsby and Tyler the Creator's golf la fluer line, I feel like perhaps Tyler was inspired by Andre's work!
Agreed
Benjamin bixby needs to come back, that was a really good looking line
I agree I loved it
👍🌟✨💐💖💯
Agree
@@itsalrightitsok929 omg YES!
Lil kim doesn’t get enough credit for her many contributions to fashion. She was the IT girl when it came to fashion.
Right
Facts she paved the way for other female rappers
Super Facts 💯 #trendsetter
💯💯💯
She doesn’t get the credit for literally setting up the blueprint all other female rappers follow these days. Nor the fact that she did it during a time where it was controversial to say & do the things she was. I’ve never understood the backlash she received during her & Nicki’s beef because in all actuality there would be no Nicki without Kim & that should be respected. That’s not me taking sides, it’s facts. Kim was one of the first to rap about overtly sexual themes & women empowerment through it that has now become mainstream. It’s not about whose music you like more Kim paved the way & did so fearlessly as it was a controversial topic when she did it. She deserves more respect for it than she gets.
I feel like 3 Stacks could definitely have a successful relaunch if he wanted to. The clothes were fire and there’s way more preppy black men/boys. Lil Kim was such a pioneer. I don’t ever want to hear anyone giving her credit to anyone else again.
She really was, a lot of the current female rappers wouldn’t have the opportunities they have today without Kim.
I was just thinking the same about 3000. I can see some of the new rappers, Cam Newton, Russell Westbrook and many more wearing his clothing. There's more men wearing dapper/ prep clothing now a days.
@@Lala-Land310 right, his line was really cute and different. Sad it didn’t get the comercial success it should’ve.
I definitely want Benjamin Bixby now LoL
@ right!!!
I’m shocked that anyone would forget ice cream, but a lot of people don’t know the full scope of Pharrell’s impact on music and culture.
Well Pharrell wasn't really really flashy person. Personally, I truly don't believe he actually knew how to promoting great enough BBC..!! Just what I think..!!
What happened to Ed Hardy clothing line..??
Ikr he's legendary imo
The real ones didn’t forget about ice cream it’s still out this person misinformed
@@dashiajames1882 Ed hardy is becoming really popular again because of the early 2000s trends!!
Benjamin Bixby was just before its time 😩
Most definitely
Yup!
Indeed!😭
People forgot how much Eve put work in during the course of her rap career. She was booking movies, clothing lines & even had her own TV show that went on for 4 years. Impressive. Hate that hers, Missy's & Kim's brands faded into obscurity too. Underrated.
Eve's husband is super wealthy she doesn't have to spend her own money, she's doing okay.
People forget? Nobody care smh
Wow I totally forgot Eve had her own show!
Unfortunately Andre 3000 was just too ahead of his time when he released Benjamin Bixby. The culture wasn’t ready.
He wasn't trying to tell it to the culture. That was part of his problem. He is in hip hop and he sold his line in stores most hip hop heads probably wouldn't feel welcomed in. His line failure was his fault
Agreed
@@heyyall5651 high end clothing sells at high end stores 🤷🏾♀️ he probably shouldn’t have marketed to the hip hop market at all.
Andre did an incredible job making quality looking clothes!
Right, it looked good. Too bad it didn’t take off I think it have performed better around 2013-2015.
Some of these celebs should revive these lines since early 2000s fashion is making a comeback
Early 2000s fashion is making a comeback? Can you give us examples?

I wish 3000 would make clothes again
He does every once in a blue moon to maintain his trademark. He released a t-shirt earlier this year out of a sketch he did.
The funny thing is…everyone is wearing his type of clothes now. He was ahead of his time.

PASTRY BY VANESSA AND ANGELA SIMMONS HAD US GOING CRAZY IN MIDDLE SCHOOL I REMEMBER WATCHING THEM ON RUNS HOUSE TRYNA CONVINCE REV RUN AND THEY MOMMA TO HELP THEM LOL
i heard they are bringing it back.
Oh my god I remember their clothing line I was dying in middle school to get their clothes and jewelry. I loved watching Runs House. Diggy was so cute back then and fine ass hell now.
Items inspired by the 1930s is SUPER unique! People always go for the typical 50s and 80s.
I've never heard of any of these brands, but Andre's was so beautiful. OMG. I have always loved Outkast.
Right?! You can absolutely see the love and care he put into those designs. I hope he still feels proud of them, they're gorgeous.
His own was very pretty to look at...it looked like a photograph book
Of all the brands that were mentioned, Andre's is the only one that stands out for me. I've always been into his fashion sense. Even though my style has changed but I always find my self gravitating towards his style Tylor the Creator
Y’all remember Marthe Francois Girbaud?
How about Von Dutch?
Adkdmks?
SouthPole?
2000s y’all 😎
South Pole N Von Dutch (I remember them)
Phat pharm
I owned nothing but South pole shirts in ever color and design 😂
Even had fat Albert shirts
I remember I used to love my echo red & lady enyce lol. And South Pole & baby Phat lol
Honestly…. I really LOVE the “Benjamin Bixby” the clothing line. It seems André 3000 may have been before his time! It reminds me of how men dress now! Maybe he should try it again!
I agree! Maybe Lower the price..but I think it would be nice !
@@rokeishiarodgers7205 true! I agree!
I had a lot of Eve’s FETISH clothes. I was so sad when she completely shut the company down. Very unique and vibrant pieces.

I think she’s referring to Ice Cream more because Ice Cream died in the 2000s
@@neighborhoodka I’ve seen ppl wear ice cream today
Why were they censoring Pharrell promoting his own shoes? 💀
That's the same question I have..??
MTV blurred out almost any brand I guess they weren't associated with. 50 Cent G Unit and a lot of rock bands brands were also blurred out.
It's considered as advertisement, even when shouted out on a song or music video. Brands needed to pay or else they were blurred out
@@heyyall5651 oh okay
Product placement isn't free. No one cut a check

"3 Stack's" line was clothing innovation. It's Dapper-esque quality was certainly overlooked 🎩🧥👔👞
I remember Dapper-Esque
That andre 3000 brand would've work if he managed the business well. The collection looks really interesting. He's talented.
Precisely, it was definitely UNIQUE, extremely CLASSIC/CLASSY and PRESTIGEOUS!!💖💖💖
Bro Andre was waaay ahead of his time imagine if he did it now in this era dudes like Uzi & ASAP would co-signed it!! 😭

Who remembers Apple Bottoms?
I had a pair in high school!

Right 🔥
Billionaire Boys Club seem to have really made a resurgence here in the UK.
Can u explain how i live in the US

Resurgence huh? It's never was forgotten over here in the US
@@KhaiNYC Right I see people wear BBC still
I’ve noticed more people are wearing the brand again in the UK. I barely saw it for a long time.
The 2000s was such a time for fashion I was a kid all throughout the 2000s (born in 1998) so I vaguely remember things like all the fashion lines but it’s cool looking back everyone was so creative and true to their style
Black fashion specifically and I LOVED it!
I always wanted a pair of Pastries too. (Simmons sister's brand)
I mentioned them in my first comment looked like N sounded like they missed a good early 2000's throwback
Me and my lil sister loved them. We both had almost all of the pairs
This takes me back. I remember when I got a pair. I was like the only kid in my school who had em lol
I kept my daughter draped in Pastries when she was a baby🤩😍🤩😍 then one day I go to the store where I usually get them from and they just disappeared 🤷
My mom used to buy us Roca Wear Jr, Ecko, FuBu 😂 this brought back memories. Also going to the malls in the early 2000s and seeing these brands. I remember when house of Dereon launched as well.
Yess same i had me a lil black Roca Wear coat with fur on the hoodie 😂😂 such an era !
3000’s clothes were fire. That could definitely relaunch today
My Fetish jeans were my favorite pair back in 2005. They were fairly high rise, which, at the time, was impossible, LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE to find. Plus they were super long, a good neutral wash, and cute cut. God bless Eve!
I wish I had known, I've always loved Eve!!
I forgot about fetish, man I missed this Era 😫
I owned her clothes 👌🏾
In the immortal borrowed words of Jz “grand opening grand closing.” Most of them I didn’t even know existed.
That’s one of my favorite lines to say. lol “grand opening, grand closing”!! 😂
I really like Andre's Bixby line, future fashion forward flashback moment. Ain't nobody tryna dress like that; but it's impressive.
LOL...but I think some of the pieces would make good business casual clothes
Love Andre but I see why people didn’t buy it. 20’s and 30’s fashion was and is a vibe, but I don’t see people wearing it pass that era unless it’s for a costume or performance 🤷🏾♀️
I would have worn it if I were a guy. It’s so neat.
@@TheLovesnowangel I feel like Tyler’s been copying this kind of look
Well Morehouse college and Spellmancollege design students has partnered with Polo brand is caming out with a very similar line this year based on the same era as Andre 3000's line. So he should try a comeback. From the video, his pieces look better then the pieces I have seen of the new polo clothing line.
I could see myself and so many of my friends and mutuals wearing Andre's line today!! if he adjusted that price to be a bit more affordable I *know* it would sell like crazy 😩
I got this bomb ass Fetish puffer coat for Christmas from my grandmother who lived in Jersey but I lived in Georgia and best believe I rocked the shit out that hot ass coat 😂🤣 Damn I miss ‘05 lol
I had some Eleven gear from Steve and Barry’s. I really liked their store as a tween. This video took me back in time to the early 2000s. I forgot all about Andre’s line I’m sure it would have performed better during try hipster/Tumblr era. It appears to be a high quality line.
IDK Andre had a clothing line till this video?
@@KC-qi7gn I forgot all about it but seeing the footage again I do remember him talking it. This video was a straight throwback.

Rip Anna!🌹
I LOVED Eve’s Fetish line, especially the bags! Coincidentally, Christina Aguilera had a makeup line called Fetish too, around the same time.
I had stuff from the fetish line too! I remember it was sold at Sears! It was a silver blackish lipstick. I wore it to a Backstreet Boys concert in ‘99. I thought I was grown! 🤣🤣🤣
@@TatiSaysSo Yeeeeeees! Wasn’t that such a great time to be alive?! I miss those days. 😊
The thing about the 00s is that exclusivity was king and also the detriment of so many of these (and other) brands. I think Sean John and Rocawear and Baby Phat noticed that you could do runway looks AND affordable clothes. Accessible fashion is how celebrities got their brands to stick. Especially if it can be worn by more than one group.
BBC was everything 😍😍😍 😭 and ice creams. Gosh...my brothers had like every pair. I was so excited when I got my first pair. 🍨💖🍨
I loved Andre’s line. It was amazing. His line was well tailored and neat. I absolutely adored Ice Cream because of the colors!
I loved Steve & berry's you could go in with $150 & come out with a bunch of outfits that lasted me a couple yrs
Yes! I miss that era
Yea I thought I was the only one who remembers that store cuz most people are like ”who?!” Lol
Lil Kim .... Legendary. Also those watches were gorgeous.
Andre's line would take off NOW. He's always been ahead of his time, so I'd say that was his issue.
Aaliyah and Kidada Jones was about to come out with a clothing line called Dolly Pop.
I wore Ecko Unltd briefly but was more of wearing Nike and Adidas brand. Man, the 2000s was a great era.
Most definitely
I don’t remember none of these brands growing up but Fetish. I’m 40yrs old now. It looks to me that regardless that they were celebrities the fact that they were black designers doesn’t come as a shock that their marketing would be non existence and they quickly got shelved. They weren’t taken seriously at all which isn’t a shocker. Nowadays it seems a lot easier for us to be more visible so we can take control via internet. Back then they desperately needed the help and support of others that did not do right by them. Andre 3000 clothes was beautiful but just before it’s time especially for black men.
I dont remember neither and im 41 years old only brand i remember is Sean John & Fubu i guess i didnt pay attention them other brand clothes
I’m 42 and I remember all of them except Venus line
Where were u living?! I'm 34 and I loved it and wore basically all of it AND I'm in Canada 🤣🤣
I love my Jessica Simpson pumps!
Sean John clothes was amazing💯
These urban lines gave us other options when low rise jeans and tacky graphic tees were ever popular. It was tough as a curvy girl finding a good fit. Ecko Red, House of Dereon, AppleBottoms, BabyPhat and more literally saved our arses. 😄
Your voice is so soothing
Just got a bbc jacket for Christmas, had a pair of ice creams I never wore and I have and still wear the pink lil Kim watch! Great video ❤️
Definitely remember seeing Fetish inside one of those hood retailers like Dr Jay’s, and ice cream was well known. Never understood why Pharrell had 3 brands though when I was younger

These brands were so big when I was in high school. I had a Fetish purse that I loved and wore out from constantly using it. Thank you so much for these deep dive videos. I’m so addicted!
Wow, this video really took me back to my high school days walk thru the mall with my Nokia brick cell phone. Did anyone else think of the “ You in the Hood now Baby” meme during Lil Kim’s part?
Another well researched & informative video, thanks so much :)
I love Andre 3000’s. He should bring that back.
I love the nostalgia feels. I do remember the fashion lines from Andre Benjamin (I love OutKast! 😍) and Serena Williams (Aneres). Benjamin Bixby and Aneres looked promising in regards to the quality of each line. The looks were impressive yet in hindsight the bottom line is a business needs to be managed and backed properly in order to achieve longevity. However, I'm glad Andre Benjamin and the Williams sisters are without regrets and rightfully so.
Jessica Simpson clothing line to this day is my favorite her fancy perfume is a classic 💕 I know its not a black clothing line. Just mentioned her because she also came out around the 2000's
Her line is still around, and worth over a billion dollars
@@SunshineBalogun YES! It's one of the few celebrity lines I stand for. I feel like she really put in her time and perfected her craft.

Imma need them to do a 2000s cat walk and auction on these exclusive outfits.

Great work, once AGAIN. Love your channel!
I believe if all the rappers who came out and supported each other by buying each other clothing if would have set a fashion trend for people in hip hop that would have made people buy them because they are fans and they want to look like them I believe all the fashion trends back then would have still been here had they had the support from one another in the industry
I love your videos so much! they always bring me nostalgia especially the fashion, my dad and mom especially was very into a lot of the brands you mentioned
Your content is such a vibe pls never stop!
DEFFFFF remember Fetish because my aunt who is the same age as Eve was obsessed with Eve!!
Also, forgot about Kim’s line, but seeing her recently at the Bottega show reminded me that SHE IS A FASHION GWORL! BEEN ONE AND FOREVER WILL BE ONE.

Back in the day I was between middle to lower class that it was hard for me to afford brand labels to it was impossible to find the clothes that I want to get from the celebrities I follow in the area I used to grow up in. How times changed.
Ashamed to say, I remember all the celebs but not the brands. Thank you for shedding light Crystal!

I remember Eves line Fetish. I always wanted to wear it but it never fit me quite right.
Ima black male but I still love your channel!!! Been watching for a long time. Your videos be hella on point.
I think Andre's line would have popped off so well had he released it in 2011 because of the hipster trend (which Black people in the hood were on too as I can attest to) and now because alternative fashion is so accepted and in right now. I know he doesn't even dress like that as much anymore and I know it cost him so much money he may never consider it but I hope he thinks about trying the line out again in the future.
These celebrities wanted too much too fast. To be sold as an established brand. They should have done what Supreme did. Small limited releases to build up hype and excitement about the Brand.
