Girls, if you start I strongly advise you to buy your first carpet on www.norayoga.ca/ bought my first yoga mat 2 years ago and I still have the same today , the quality is amazing and there are lots of other stuff on the site! Otherwise, my favorite postion to yoga is the halasana

Your abilities never cease to amaze me. I could practice the rest of my life and never achieve a 1/4 of what your videos show. I have never tried ashtanga but I want to soon. It seems intimidating. I'm always down for a challenge though.

haha wow that is nuts!!!!! My legs are still a little tight to stretch my legs out with firefly. My shoulder strength is getting better each week as I practice. You are pretty "fly" that's awesome!
I def tried this although I know I'm not flexible enough... Couldn't straighten my legs very well with my upper body between them. Can see how practice would make it possible, but I think I'll be sticking to beginner poses for now :)

Hello, I always get a lot of help through your videos. In your book, you said that you move your right foot first when you go forward or turn back, but in this video, you move your left foot first when you come back? Did anything change?
Kino! I've been wanting to know if I should avoid yoga completely during my cycle, or just inversions? I love the restorative poses, but I need the stretch too. Any suggestions? Thank you!
That's a great question. Traditionally you take the first days of your cycle totally off any yoga that requires deep bandha work. You can do easy restorative postures and other forms of exercise. This would be a great topic for a student question so please submit it to me via my website as well.
I'm going to start with the primary series next week. A teacher at my studio is certified up to the second series, so we will see how I do. Now that I can finally float during sun sal, I figure my core is strong enough to take on Ashtanga.

I know I am not Kino, but my yoga instructor says its just inversions.
I'm also not Kino but …. In Ashtanga you take a "ladies holiday" (no yoga at all) during the first three days of menstruation.
