When you dive into the plot, you’ll realize that Salazar was just a pawn in Saddler’s game the whole time. It led to innocent villagers becoming subjected to the fossilized plaga. It caused them to murder their children and any outsider that didn’t carry the same blood as them. The sociopathic tendencies of Saddler to manipulate a naive kid like Salazar makes him one of the most evil antagonist in the franchise.
When you dive even further, you realize everyone was a pawn, from Ashley to the cult; in order to finally draw out the Los Plagas sample. @@damousx6860 Yeah the parasite was incompatible with children because their small frail bodies werent strong enough to withstand the pain when the parasite grew up inside them.
What really bothers me about the las plagas was how we hear no connections between them and the Progenitor flowers. It seems odd how there is a virus found in Africa that can literally reanimate bodies and mutate them where as the las Plagas can do the pretty much the same thing. The Progenitor, the Las Plagas, and the megamycete must have a strong connection somewhere.
That's not unusual really. Both respective cultures kept the existence secret and deeply suppressed. It was only a small and isolated remnant that knew of them, much less believed in the "Legends"
@@fortissears5388 Nemesis was controlled through the NE Alpha Parasite, which was indeed a Las Plagas Parasite infused with a modified T Virus strain. The island laboratory in RE4 is likely the remnants of the Umbrella Sixth Laboratory.
@@grandadmiralzaarin4962 The parasite that controlled Nemesis was a parasite that was made in the French branch of Umbrella where Chris went.Umbrella didn't have the naturally occurring las plagas until Ada got a sample.
I think a game focusing on the first Castellan against the Los Illuminados as a Medieval RE4 would be pretty interesting. Imagine fighting Ganados and parasites as a Medieval Knight!
@@williamcortelyou9072 I'd play it.....i can see the weapons being longbows, crossbows, a sword, sheild, spear, and maybe a flintlock pistol or flintlock rifle....even tho those were past the medieval era.
I did not know the remake version of Nemesis had some Las Plagas in him, that's a nice way of connecting the games together. The original RE 4 was very stand alone and the remake series adding lor like this is a great idea. Las Plagas is definitely one of the more downright painful and unpleasant parasites to have.
It wasnt the las plagas parasite itself so to speak but a different modified variation created artificially with its own unique characteristics while mimicking las plagas.
@@daegnaxqelil2733 that whole game felt off. Thank God I only got it for 10 bucks because god damn it ain't worth 30 let alone 60. It felt like I was being rushed through the whole experience where they could have very easily lengthened the game while still keeping the same layout and areas (ofcourse they could have decided to not be lazy mother fuckers and add more instead of taking stuff out the game)
2:10 The first Salazar actually did the right thing burying the Plagas under the castle so the Los Illuminados couldon't use them but Saddler convinced Ramon otherwise.
That piece of text is written from perspective of Ramon Salazar (the 8th Castellan and the antagonist in RE4'S Castle portion), who got hooked in by Los Illuminados and saw the cult as the good guys. So ofc he would see the 1st Salazar's actions as wrong.
I love RE4 so much, and the cult surrounding the village and castle is quite interesting. It’s kinda sad saddler is so corrupt though, and used Salazar to rebirth the plagas and control the village. I hope the remake can add more creepiness to the cult especially to saddler and Salazar.
Same here and from what we've seen in the re4 remake trailer, they seem to focus more on the horror side of things. Also I really want to see how they portray the church area and how the creepy it'll be in the remake
@@HeYDeVuH It always creeps me out how los iluminados people whisper and say weird things, even as a Spanish speaker it still makes me feel scared, I'm excited to see if they get even creepier in the remake
Personally, what made RE4 (and every RE game, actually), so terrifying, was not the fact there was danger everywhere, nor the morbid gore and body horror everywhere, but the constant feeling of loneliness. That knowledge that you are completely alone in this long mission. You can't rely on anything or anyone, everything is up to you. This also makes cutscenes with other living people a very huge tension-relieving moment, specially with Ada in RE2 and RE4. It's just "nice to finally see another human" feeling.
Other explanation could be that they were not obligatory parasitic. Which is easier and better one. A lot of non-obligatory parasites can survive by heterotrophic or chemotrophic methods whereas the obligatory parasites die when there is no host
@@iditrirajanits def possible, esp when the plaga went thru the whole "spore" phase within the ndipaya kingdom, which actually led to the destruction of the kingdom, and humans over time losin adaptability to progenitor since the place where the flowers were got swarmed by infected forcing the surviving human ancestors to live elsewhere away from the flowers,as in the plaga went thru process of fossilization/turning into spores least twice in its lifetime

He is my favorite too , people come on , he is a Tyrant Cultis , tentacles bigger and strongest than nemi and super Speed like wesker , come on people Saddler is so Amazing, good shinji mikami idea.
RE4 is just a phenomenal game with limitless content and rich lore. Love this game to death. Even now, after 15+ years, people still make high-quality videos, just like this one (great job, pal!), and theorize. Great story, great setting, great gameplay, great replayability, insane attention to detail, great bonuses, great characters(mostly, yes, it's Ashley), great everything. Good job, Capcom. Absolutely nailed it, and I am waiting for the remake.
Thank you for taking my request. I feel re4s story is straight forward however I do feel the los illumados cult and the los plagas parasite was quite deep.
Yes it's an interesting background lore that needed to be explored, My personal favorite was how the Village was manipulated and converted to join the Los Illuminados.
One thing I really liked about RE4 was that it was like a soft reboot for the series, where you didn't need to play the other games to enjoy this one, and it's mostly disconnected from the rest of the series before it. It expanded on the world a bit, showing that Umbrella and the zombie viruses weren't the only thing to worry about, and I think revealed that Wesker was still alive, though I'm not 100% sure about that one. Ada's campaign was fun, and unlocking ask the extras was just as fun.
4 Grew on me big time. But still....resident evil IS the umbrella corporation to me. Without umbrella, it just feels like every new game and villain is just a spin off of what it used to be and it waters down the lore more and more with every release. Also the apocalypse stuff that came later is too much. Such a huge part of resident evil for me, is the characters desperately trying to prevent that from happening. For me, the only pure resident evil is the original trilogy, and code veronica. I love 4 too. But it's a shame that resident evil has gone down this convoluted road and that there are no good movies that go back to basics.
@@Omnislasher5 ah, thanks! I can't always remember the timeline of the games, and I always remember his gameplay in merchant from 4 more than anything 😅
It would have been nice to see how the series would have developed had they not clumsily attempted to make 5 the 'series finale'. I personally think The Evil Within started off as a 'spiritual prequel' to the storyline RE4 started, and it's fun to see just what direction RE might have gone down had they used similar plot elements to TEW.
The worst part of it is even though they are quarantined, that still means they are very much at large regardless. Obviously they have been contained to a point where most other places even within Europe like that Village from…well…VILLage was untouched by Las Plagas but traitors are still a huge factor even within organizations quarantining areas. Plus there are the mining areas where they may still reside as spore-like substances. They had remained that way for potentially thousands of years, maybe even longer than that. So I’d reckon a few more years wouldn’t cause them to dissipate. And when taking into account that all is needed is to breathe the spores in, that could mean huge ramifications for the future if somebody in that team, an infiltrator, screws everything over, say if they were some sympathizer of Saddler’s vision. But as DC Douglas said, yeah, Capcom isn’t always the most consistent especially regarding pure continuity. So all things said here are just hypothetical.
The Plaga and that flower virus incidentally shows something interesting about the world of resident evil. While Umbrella and others made mutations and monsters there is clearly a natural evil that occurs in this world. It does open the possibility of other natural monstrosities out there somewhere.
Well technically the very 1st bows were infected animals made by havin the animals at ndipaya kingdom ingest the flowers turnin them into monsters very similar to colmillos (the parasitic wolves from 4) thts actually the reason why the superhuman king wasnt around anymore and why the empire fell durin the Neolithic age
I thought Krauser had a strain of the T Veronica virus in him from when him and Leon were in South America in The Dark side Chronicles? I didn't think it was las plagas. His arm mutation even looks similar to Steve's mutation in Code: Veronica.
You'd probably be surprised to know that Wesker sent agents to Sadler's island after RE4 ended to retrieve the Dominant Plaga left from Krauser's body, which contributed in the abominations created in RE5 like the Type 3 parasites, Giant Majini and the sample Irving used on himself against Chris and Sheva.
just to keep in mind that re4 was released in 2005 and his initial infection was the las plagas, the t veronica infection reference comes from darkside chronicles which was released 4 years after re4.
All these year and all the play throughs I did and watched and I am now just learning that the Chief was originally the village leader and Priest and now it all makes sense how the rest of the village was manipulated into getting the Parasite.
This video definitely helped me understand the lore in RE 4 better. I’ve seen the playthroughs but unfortunately I never got the actually gist of what was happening behind the scenes or even how Las Plagas, Los Iluminados, and the Ganados came to be. Until now, and makes more sense. As always, excellent video and I love your analysis of each game which fills me in in the world of Resident Evil. I’m still so hyped RE4 Remake and of course waiting for new videos from you.
I always liked how RE used esoteric cult meanings in the games as well as conspiracy theory mixed with Romero and HP Lovecraft. What kind of mic you use? It sounds very crisp, clean, and tight.
Great. los iluminados were different villains and they were separate from Umbrella making them their own villains and showing us that Umbrella isn't the only villains out there. Salazar first Castellan was protecting the village and the world from the Las Plagas until generations later, Ramon took over. Saddler took advantage and convinced Ramon to release the Plagas. We're going to get a remake, I can see that some former Umbrella employees escape and meet up with the los iluminados and help them bring back the Las Plagas. Los iluminados will still be a different organization and some members are former Umbrella workers after Umbrella fell.
The las plagas is reminiscent of the Snake men from Bloodborne I know it's a different comparison but it's a small detail not comparing Bloodborne and RE4 2 amazing games and amazing lore
Crazy how this game is more than 15 years old and I still see videos about it in 2022 my fav RE4 can’t wait for the 2023 version. I’ve beat it on most consoles
I hope capcom for once don’t messed this remake of resident evil 4 like what they did in resident evil 3 remake like removing many things that made original game special unique and memorable in first place like removing Barry burton in remake despite his appearance in original RE3 considered a true ending and canon and now they trying remove Jack Krauser one of the most iconic and memorable character in original RE4 being responsible for setting things in motion like kidnapping Ashley which why Leon goes on mission to rescues her and start the whole resident evil 4 event In first place also removing Krauser in remake is bad idea since it make no sense in RE4 remake like who responsible for kidnapping Ashley so resident evil 4 story never happens at all
As a spanish speaker it bugs me that everyone has been saying “the las plagas” or “the los Illuminados” the word las and los both translate to “the”... Las= female the and los= male the. Other than that great video altogether
The Organization is the only “rival” to have ever obtained Los Plagas, that we know of, and that was in 2005. Given that the Connections discovered Megamycete and it’s similar mind controlling properties sometime in the 19th century. They most likely never came into contact with Los Plagas. However, unlike the Connections, the Organization has never been known to deploy or create BOWs. Every one of Ada’s missions have prevented the strain from reaching black markets.
I cannot wait to see how everyone looks in 4make and guys, you should really check out the Anime/Manga called "Parasyte" for more Las Plaga goodness 👀👌
It’s too bad they didn’t continue bringing the Las Plagas back, it’s been 10 years since we have seen the parasites (RE: Damnation). Hopefully they’ll be back for RE 9.
I think part of what makes RE4 so great is that this plot is so unique. Don't get me wrong, I loved the zombies and BOWs, but the whole story revolving around the cult and the parasite is so interesting.
I think what made Las Plagas so much scarier than the T Virus or G Virus was that you have to wait a long time for the parasite to take over your body, and you're alive and aware of it the whole time. The sense of slow, impending enslavement and doom is horrifying.
For me hhe scariest aspect was how the parasites hosts were capable of showing the kind of intelligence and cognitive function no virus could so far. Just imagine if the T virus in RE1 and G virus in RE2 were capable of the kind of communication, thinking and strategizing that the Las Plagas is capable of...
Definitely interesting how the Nemesis fits in with the las plagas virus, the remake did that quite well as I have thought on this alot, it's a nice bit of story linking the two games, I kinda wonder too if Hunk and Krauser crossed paths at some point, my heads spinning with all these 'what if' scenarios now, this vid doco is absolutely amazing how much it makes me think on all the various viruses's and there stories and how they possibly link to one another, phenomenal job Hay Duvah, keep safe n well till the next one
Great video showing how the files and dialogue are all connected. Other videos have done it well, but the way you ordered the details and the timeline is easier to follow. I’m sure this took a lot of time to make. My hats off to you sir. With the RE4 remake, along with hoping it isn’t butchered like the RE3 Remake, maybe the RE4 remake can give us more details on the matter. Such as giving us a back story to Saddler, or hopefully giving us the connection between Las Plagas, Megamycete, and Progenitor virus.
Just "LOS" damn it!! I hate who ever translated the gane to English. There is no need for "The" in the nane of the villains group as both words are literally the same word.
A few thoughts. Numbered for reference, in case anyone has replies. Sometimes people confuse my numbered lists for importance, if I'm not commenting on a top however many list... 1: Saddler could've just let Leon take Ashley back to the US and unwittingly help the cult. Instead, he shot himself in the foot by being too much of the mustache twirling villain that we all love... I haven't been able to purchase the remake yet to check it out, but in the original RE4, Saddler is really played well as the charismatic villain trope. If he weren't an evil cult leader, we'd be happy to have this guy come over for movie night (and watch The Thing [both the prequel and the Carpenter masterpiece]). 2: Tying in with that movie choice, I got the feeling that a majority of the visuals involving the plagas, as well as their ability to hibernate so well, was somewhat inspired by John Carpenter's The Thing. Granted body horror a whole tends to emulate this movie to some degree. But it really did feel like the game devs were either fans of the movie, or at least honoring it to some degree. The most glaring example of this is the Colmillos, seemingly referecing the ever-popular Jed-Thing (or Dog-Thing, for those who aren't superfans). 3: Something I'm surprised you didn't mention, which is by no means speculation. There's a document that states that the Plaga parasites take on some of the mental traits of the host, and that it simply takes an individual with a strong will to take control of the parasite within themselves. This is why Krauser and Leon are seen as trouble, when it's figured out that they both have a higher level of parasite than the ganados. Krauser's blade-arm is a result of Krauser willing the parasite to create that form. Same with Salazar and Saddler's transformations.
I rly love ur indepth comment so imma reply to it with my own thoughts 😁 1.yes ur right,as far as OG goes, saddler shot himself in the foot big time, but in remake its heavily implied thru files tht the reason he didn't let ashley go was cause she had to go thru a "ritual" involving the black liquid, since Ashley and leon were infected with standard plaga, and the issue with this is tht regular infected will attack ANY non infected ppl on sight, meanin if ashley went bk to her dad as she is,she'd attack him resulting in quite the international crisis, leadin to the US gov investigating heavily, eventually findin the Los illuminados and bombing them just like they did RC which is a big no no for saddler, esp whn at this point his plan didn't come to fruition which is take control quietly of the US gov in its entirety, think like "invasion of the body snatchers" movie 2.holy shit I didn't realize how similar it was to "the thing" the way u just explained it..whoa,haha fun fact : the lovecraftian movie "dagon" was actually a major influence for 4,infact mikami made his team watch this movie whn makin the game 3.hmm I don't remember willpower playing any factor in Las plaga infection or the parasite takin on traits of its host..mayb I missed somethin,if u can refer me to a file or wtever tht states sucha thing I'd appreciate it
can you imagine what players must have felt like for the very first time upon seeing the credits scene and seeing the villagers in happier, peaceful times? they dived in and thought to themselves i'm going to dispense death towards anyone who wants to kill me. once the credits rolled around, they must have felt sucker punched upon realising they were the grim reaper with assorted weaponry.
@@lorian7703 I think he is much, much older than that: No mentions of a predecessor to his rule to the Los Iluminados has been mentioned, so it's entirely plausible that he has been the sole leader for years, perhaps centuries.
Re4 is frankly sad, especially the Ganados. Much like the Bakers, the residents of Pueblo (the Village) were victims, unwilling servants to the true evil.
@@janie1684 I've seen let's plays didn't fuck with it. Maybe if it was its own game but it trys to ride the Resident Evil name when it really should have been its own thing
@@jeambeam3173 You have no opinion on a game unless you've played it yourself. Re 7 revived the franchise when re 6 killed it off. Be grateful for it. Capcom did something cool and original that tied into the base games, while delivering a fresh and horrific experience. Especially paired with the new RE engine created specifically for RE 7, which gave us re 2 , 3 , Village, and 4 remake. Without re 7, none of this would have Been possible.
I liked RE4's story. Most people say it took the series in a direction it shouldn't have gone, but I don't think that was the game's fault. It was within the realm of infections and monstrous mutations that the previous games displayed. RE4 is the only RE game I've really played, since I'm more of a Silent Hill fan, but RE4 will always have a high spot in my collection of video games. The las plagas concept is more horrifying than the other RE plots due to the idea of the victim's brain being taken over and their consciousness being wiped out. That's compared to a virus that simply makes the person die and reanimates them. The only downside to RE4 was the unresolved plot with Ashley. It seems like the process to remove her parasite was not the same as Leon's, and that made me think it didn't work on her. But we never get an answer to this.
My question is what exactly Saddler was? Like was he always that big crab thing even before they dig up Las Plaga? Was he a human in the first place or some shapeshifter plaga thing that just looked like a human? Could he be alive during the times when first castelan sealed plaga underground?
It was never really explored on what his true background was prior to his discovery of the las plagas under the salazar castle. Though I hope that they expand more on his lore in re4 remake
I always just figured he was a human who was infected with a 'Master Plaga' just like Mendez and Salazar - would be interesting if it turned out he was actually a Plaga that assumed human form, but there isn't really any evidence to indicate that.
To me after playing RE Village Las plagas reminds of the Cadou. RE4 lore never goes into it's origins. But in the original RE version, Luis explained in his notes basically the parasites some how evolved into more dangerous parasite organism.
Since Capcom doesn't remake the RE series within the timeline order, it means they need to explain how Leon & Krauser know each other in RE4 Remake. And maybe also a little bit of background story of Mike the helicopter pilot. Seeing Leon call the pilot's name without knowing who he is is a little bit weird for me.
Yeah that's true, I really want to see how they play this out in re4 remake. Also I wonder if they will have Leon remember operation javier and how that impacts his interactions with Krauser this time around
There has been rumors that Krauser is being cut completely from the remake. I certainly hope its only early and false rumors, because cutting Krauser would be awful!
Speaking of like, cults - do u think there’s anything for a dive into the village’s history of Re8? Like - the more I play, the more it seems that these people, or the village, was always grounded in superstition and paganism, even since before Miranda. Just curious tbh. With goats, goddesses, and demons - it’s a whole lot of weird lol.
Eh they were probably Christian before Miranda took over. Tbh tho I find it weird capcom made the cult.in re4 pagan considering the constant references to sin which is not part of paganism
@@NeloBladeOfRanni They worshiped a war goddess, sacrificed black-haired goats, and made bone talisman in their likeness to ward off the demons that they had thought plagued the area. I do believe they were referred to as “infidels” at som point. At any rate, it’s not a matter of being “barely pagan,” cuz they were in fact pagan. Which probably came from Father Nicola - one of the village founders who served as their religious leader. This reverence of their war goddess - the beautiful maiden who was said to have saved the village long ago - was eventually replaced with Miranda, an acclaimed miracle worker and prophet of her “Black God,” which we know to be the mold. Though interestingly enough, the four founders had seen the Giant’s Chalice as a holy object, and even served to protect it.
@@AlbertusSalvatierra I think the 'Giant's Chalice' is a hint at the size and power of the Progenitor civilization that lived underground long before modern times. RE5 went the furthest in exploring this idea of an ancient civilization that used the Progenitor virus to grant themselves incredible powers, and I think the 'Tyrants' are probably a watered down version of how massive and lethal the ancient humans were.
I've been seeing this rumor a lot lately, same as you, I hope that they don't cut him out of the game. It'd be a shame to do the same thing that they did with re3 remake and how that game cut so much content
@@HeYDeVuH It's tiring to hear things like this. If it's true, I'll lose all trust in Capcom being able to handle these remakes. It shouldn't be that hard. I'd rather take no remake than stuff being cut again. We already lost the opportunity to play a good modern version of RE3.
Oh man I’ve been playing re4 remake and the los plagas is wild in that the way it makes it’s way outside the host when they’re hurt or die and it continues to move even when the body’s dead and mangled terrifying

Ré 4 remake makes me wonder for gruesome scenes they never showed in the original but showed pictures. I wonder if they will actually show more memories of those who were there from the beginning. Mabye seeing these executions or mabye from that perspective of said butlers who are loyal to the Salazar family for generations. If your gonna remake game at least give it more thought of making the game somehow or someway be crucial for more re remakes down the road. Either way I’m excited that re 4 is getting a remake. Better be as gruesome and terrifying like the old school re4.🎉
This is what og re 4 should of looked like. You would think that this small picture book would show happy times before that all disappear. These scenes alone told me that this a theory, but I didn’t think they would remake this game. Seeing all the gameplays, I was actually shocked seeing their heads crooked and hearing that parasite. 😅 yea I already got the spine chill ughhh.
I don't like the idea of all the viruses being connected IMO. I liked it better when there was different kinds of viruses around the world. Las Plagas worked differently than most viruses, but giving it connections like trying to rewrite most of the original lore.
I think it would be really cool if Mother Miranda is also mentioned at some point in RE4 Remake, maybe Saddler also being a student of hers like Spencer or Las Plagas being given to her and used to further her research in creating the MegaMycete. Making this connection would tie several of the RE games together as some grand conspiracy.
Ya the MegaMycete seems to be the source of all of this. Spencer got his start with Miranda and left to find his own methods. Wouldn't be far to assume Saddler either knew of her or was another student
I thought Krauser’s mutation was from the t veronica virus that he was infected with in resident evil damnation while on his mission with Leon???!! Not Plagas
He did still receive the las Plagas, also re4 was released years prior to darkside chronicles and that story point in operation Javier wasn't part of the story of Jack Krauser initially
Yo Hey Duvah, I just realised something that I've only noticed with the Ultra Frame Rate mode on ps5, this was the only recent thing I could find to tell you about it, in RE3make just after you get the key with Jill after meeting kendo, the very second you use the key check out the newspaper on the wall to ya right as you go through the gate, I could never read it on the PS4 but on the ps5 you can def read it it starts off with "Citizens Beware!" Then it goes on about Templars and the Illuminati, do you have any thoughts on that tid bit of info? because now I'm combing the game looking at every crook n nanny trying to find any other interesting bits of info, in fact I love stuff like this! I'm going to in great detail comb through the entire franchise and look for other stuff I've possibly over looked starting next weekend and see what I might uncover, ooooh! The zombie rabbit hole just got deeper! Most intriguing!
I don't consider myself a RE "fan"... The VG universe is okay but RE was rated so high and when I played it.... Top5 PS games of all time. And it brought you in well, even if you're not deeply entrenched in prev lore.
After all these years, I still haven't played RE4 yet; I've never really completed any RE game other than the first Revelations and Survivor. I always got stuck on a puzzle or area and couldn't figure out how to get through it. They do have RE4 on PS Plus, so I may download it and finally give it a go! The Remake looks amazing. Also just subscribed! Loving these in depth stories and bios!
Pretty sure Krauser wasn't infected with the plague, but one of umbrella's viruses. I thought years ago he was serverly injured in an accident, and was saved by one of the viruses.
Las plagas doesn't seem to give, superhuman attributes like fast healing, anti aging, superhuman strength, superhuman speed, superhuman reflex, superhuman, agility, superhuman quickness, ect like the T Virus, G virus, C Virus, progenitor virus

great video presentation devuh. I also think the parasite is also inspired by HP lovecraft. In fact the original trilogy has HP lovecraft elements.

Wait, wasn't Nemesis controlled by a parasite? There might be a connection there.
That's not unusual really. Both respective cultures kept the existence secret and deeply suppressed. It was only a small and isolated remnant that knew of them, much less believed in the "Legends"

Yes I like how this small detail added helps connects re4 within the main storyline in the franchise
It wasnt the las plagas parasite itself so to speak but a different modified variation created artificially with its own unique characteristics while mimicking las plagas.

2:10 The first Salazar actually did the right thing burying the Plagas under the castle so the Los Illuminados couldon't use them but Saddler convinced Ramon otherwise.
It's just messed up that his descendant, Ramon Salazar, undid his heroic acts
I can agree with that. I know I felt relief anytime I talked with Hunnigan. But then transmission was lost and so sense of loneliness got deeper
The Plagas probably became spores after they were buried under the castle because they had to adapt to being underground or else they'd have died.
Yes, I think this adaptive trait that they had made them very powerful

@ArchDemonDemiurge Wesker was revealed to be alive in Code Veronica

@@230mps i mean resident evil lore makes zero sense anyway...the timeline looks like a bowl of spaghetti lol

Unlikely. Las Plagas predates her by several hundred years.
That'd be an interesting connection between the two
The Organization is the only “rival” to have ever obtained Los Plagas, that we know of, and that was in 2005.
Given that the Connections discovered Megamycete and it’s similar mind controlling properties sometime in the 19th century. They most likely never came into contact with Los Plagas.

I rly love ur indepth comment so imma reply to it with my own thoughts 😁
1.yes ur right,as far as OG goes, saddler shot himself in the foot big time, but in remake its heavily implied thru files tht the reason he didn't let ashley go was cause she had to go thru a "ritual" involving the black liquid, since Ashley and leon were infected with standard plaga, and the issue with this is tht regular infected will attack ANY non infected ppl on sight, meanin if ashley went bk to her dad as she is,she'd attack him resulting in quite the international crisis, leadin to the US gov investigating heavily, eventually findin the Los illuminados and bombing them just like they did RC which is a big no no for saddler, esp whn at this point his plan didn't come to fruition which is take control quietly of the US gov in its entirety, think like "invasion of the body snatchers" movie
2.holy shit I didn't realize how similar it was to "the thing" the way u just explained it..whoa,haha fun fact : the lovecraftian movie "dagon" was actually a major influence for 4,infact mikami made his team watch this movie whn makin the game

Resident evil was always kinda action
Awesome bro

@@AlbertusSalvatierra I think the 'Giant's Chalice' is a hint at the size and power of the Progenitor civilization that lived underground long before modern times. I liked it better when there was different kinds of viruses around the world. Las Plagas worked differently than most viruses, but giving it connections like trying to rewrite most of the original lore.
I don't want it connected cause las plagus sucks. Keep my T Virus and Umbrella story separate
"We wanted to make that connection between RE3 and RE4"
Bro, NOBODY FUCKING ASKED YOU TO DO THAT, IT WASN'T NEEDED
"The Los Illuminados" = The the illuminated
You're right, I just say it the way the characters in game says it
22:26 “No longer will the United States think they can police the world forever.”
Osmund Saddler, 2004.
That stupid let's keep that trash as far away from the RE games that are good
Ya the MegaMycete seems to be the source of all of this.
@@HeYDeVuH oh ok, I’m glad you knew that I meant RE Darkside chronicles lol.
The one thing I don't understand is how are there two types of Las plagas and what is the max distance they can communicate with each other.
So Lord Saddler is the father of Nemesis, I love it :D
lol I just found it interesting that they added that lore in re3 remake to connect to re4
Is resident evil Village just resident evil four on steroids
I think so lol
Can't wait for re4 remake /reimagining
Same here :)
Worth it my friend and the original holds up today very well.
Los Plagas Paradise! Its the newest weight loss protein bar, it makes you lose weight without exercise or nothin
hahaha not only that it can provide benefits beyond weight lose such as red eyes, constant anger, and possible mutations lol
Pretty sure Krauser wasn't infected with the plague, but one of umbrella's viruses. I thought years ago he was serverly injured in an accident, and was saved by one of the viruses.
No actually Ada mentions its the plaga in separate ways
The plagas in RE5 were made from Krausers plaga
Krauser got a control plaga in return for bringing the president's daughter
"It's not THE Los Carnales, Los means th-... y'know what forget it"
Hope krauser not being in RE4 remake are rumors if not then the story will follow up with leon being infected??!?
Supposively he wasn't but who knows I'll trust it when I see it but for no I have zero faith that important aspects won't be removed from the game
So the village in spain lived like in the middle ages even before saddler arrived?
Seems to be. Sorta like a Spanish Amish I guess
23:53 the recoil is crazy
Side note: in Spanish Los/Las translates to the word "The"
Las plagas doesn't seem to give, superhuman attributes like fast healing, anti aging, superhuman strength, superhuman speed, superhuman reflex, superhuman, agility, superhuman quickness, ect like the T Virus, G virus, C Virus, progenitor virus
The dominant form plagas seems to give those abilities
this remake is going to be scary asf
Damn right
