I would disagree about taking Andreja on the Ryujin quests. If you were to take a companion on them, she is by far the best choice, but I strongly recommend doing that questline solo. I prefer to take her along for the UC questline, and Sarah for the Constellation questline. She has some pretty interesting things to say about the secrets you learn during UC. One of the things I don't like about it is that it seems that every companion seems to want you to pick the biological warfare solution to the terrormorphs, rather than the semi-natural solution, which in my opinion would be the safer route. In fact, that's my biggest issue with all of the companions. You say Barrett might be a little more morally ambiguous, but overall, every single one of them seems to hold all of the same basic values, and with few exceptions, they all seem to have the same reactions to whatever choices you make in dealing with each of the faction quest outcomes. They all favor using the microbe, banning the neural implant outright (even choosing to shelve it meets with disapproval), siding with UC sysdef, and killing Hope. Those last two are hard to justify not going with, but I'd like to see at least one or two of them being ok with using a natural predator to deal with the terrormorphs rather than bio-engineering a microbe, because that's never gone wrong, has it?
I've only romanced Andreja but Barrett was my least favorite companion out of all of Constellation. I was so upset towards the end of the game because Sam ended up on the Eye and I definitely would have swapped out Barrett if I had known.
My first screenshot using the in-game camera was a behind shot of Sarah. She was posing up a storm and looked badass but the booty was the main point ngl😂
I mean, there are four factions, and a companion for each one. I already met the UC, the pirate affiliated and the free star companions. Who must this mysterious fourth one be for?
Marry Andreja first and then - since she's "okay" with it - you can also marry Sarah. Two for the price of one! No offense to Barret or Sam - especially Barret - but I started hating Barret more. During one of my fresh playthroughs, I inadvertently started getting negatory responses from Barret - no crime, no illegal boarding of ships on my end - a truly paragon playthrough, and yet somehow that upsets Barret for no reason. I don't know if it was a glitch or not but that dude started being nasty AF whenever I passed him - talking smack like nobody's business. I unassigned him from my crew and left him at the Lodge. Made sure I left him to hang and dry during "High price to pay" on purpose. 🤣🤣🤣
@@Dare_To_Game yeah it was weird. I finished up his quest, went back to the Lodge, got him as crew, then went after Andreja, and as soon as I get back on the ship after the getting the 2nd artifact from Andreja's mission, Barrett started being nasty. The only other dialog I had with him prior was after assigning him as crew to my ship. I chose Sarah as a combat companion to see her dialog with Andreja when picked her up in the abandoned tunnel then listened to their banter while I wiped out the mobs between me and the first artifact. The only time I started talking to Barrett again was after getting Andreja as companion/crew to head to the next mission - that's when he started talking trash out of nowhere. I wasn't having it and decided to unassign his ass back to The Lodge. I'll try another fresh playthrough to see if I can replicate it - if it CAN be replicated at all. Will have to see if I can catch him being an ass again while I'm recording. I didn't record it the first time, but I know it happened. Everybody gives grief about Sarah being a nag, but Barrett can be a hell of a lot worse, apparently.
you know.... you take different companions on different story lines and it helps... like you said sam coe for freestar. yes. take him. take sarah for uc. take adreja for ryujin and stealth missions, take barret for random things like mantis, crimson fleet, etc.. or you can take him when you know someone else would not like it. take the bot during certain missions involving bots...
I have married Sarah, because her affinity score went up the quickest based on my early play style. But then I ditched her for Andreja and married her later. Sarah gets angry with you for a while, but then her anger status goes away and she remains a high affinity ally. But you can't re-marry her.
Barrett will NOT marry me. I assume I'm maxed with him because I'm level 90 on my first playthrough and we've been together since level 10. Regardless, he's a swell guy and that baggage is understandable. He is however morally pretty upstanding. He has a pirate past tho so it's fun to uncover, as you mentioned.
Sam Coe was my least favorite throughout. Barrett was favorite at the start to hang out with, but he becomes annoying as you spend more and more time with him. Andreja was my favorite throughout and easily best experience playing with. Sarah Morgan, I hated worse than Sam at first she is so difficult to make happy. I felt you had to save before every single thing with her to find what dialog options she likes. However, that annoying HR lady once she starts liking you and you are in a relationship, she is better than Andreja. You just need to hate yourself at the beginning to deal with the 100% perfect good guy. Sarcasm need not apply.
Sarah would be the woman to give a very stern handy job while lecturing you, good character thou, bit of a badass, Shame she kinda loses that after marriage
I feel like a lot of Sam's decisions as a parent are questionable for example he without intervention from the player he won't let cora visit her grandpa during your first mission with him due to Sam and Jacob having different views and on top of that he's also reluctant to let Lillian corals own mother into her life now I'm not suggesting Lillian is a saint because she definitely isn't but if the player can take a couple of days off being a ranger to give to cora then why can't Lillian
LOL! You have two conversations with Sam or Barret and their ready to drop those panties! I'm not sure how to take that? Or what Bethesda was trying to imply?

"Awwwh, are we done talking already?" - Sarah Morgan
Barrett is fun for a companion, but not a spouse. Sarah is fun for a spouse, but not a companion.
That is true. An interesting dichotomy for sure.
I've only romanced Andreja but Barrett was my least favorite companion out of all of Constellation. I was so upset towards the end of the game because Sam ended up on the Eye and I definitely would have swapped out Barrett if I had known.
Sarah got that mommy energy.😅
Lol, that's one way to put it.
Lmao dude. That dialogue bit with Sarah is so real. I got a good laugh out of that and the strong independent wamen thing
I choose Andreja. she is the most "my type" out of all the options.
Same for me. Not exactly who i would choose in real life, but the closest of the available options.
can you still romance her if you join the crimson fleet?
My first screenshot using the in-game camera was a behind shot of Sarah. She was posing up a storm and looked badass but the booty was the main point ngl😂
In space no one can hear you clap them cheeks 😂
Wait, Andreja's backstory was supposed to be a surprise? I guessed it from the exact moment I met her then. I thought it was obvious.
It was obvious. The writers either wanted it to be easy to predict, or have no idea how to do subtle foreshadowing.
I mean, there are four factions, and a companion for each one. I already met the UC, the pirate affiliated and the free star companions. Who must this mysterious fourth one be for?
There was definitely an interest from the first encounter with Andreja. Mystery and beauty.
Right? She's definitely got it more than the other characters.
she was the first person i married. (she is awesome)
then on different NG+ i married sarah

Could be a glitch. Doesn't sound familiar to me.

You know what sir… I’ve heard a rumor that if you have high persuasion and carisma one can romance both ladies.
There is a way.
I liked this video a lot. It's all very arbitrary, but interesting for sure.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Bro sounds like kermit the frog
I'm married to both Sarah and Andreja but Sarah is slightly my favorite .

What’s your outfit called
I can't wait for the obvious Varuun DLC. They made the faction way too interesting to not include them in any meaningful way.
I feel the same. I think out of all the gameplay elements, that one is the one they've hanged the most lanterns on.

Yeah, i wish he was more of a swashbuckler honestly. Would make him more fun as a companion.
I hope Cora watches!

Lol, that doesn't sound super pleasant, but also not the worst.
Takes the right kind of British woman to make it work lol

Men are Easy lol
I haven't romanced any of them. They always dislike me when they accompany me, because I break the law too much.
Lol, that makes sense.
Even in a thumbnail they look lifeless 😂
Lol, and those are the best pictures i have of them.
BARRETT is a bro
SAM COE needs a hoe
SARAH MORGAN from human resources
ANDREJA the heartbreaker
YEET
YOTE
Homosexual? Wow
none, game stinks
That's one takeaway.
