On my last NG+ I was loading and reloading to get the perfect armour roll for my proper play through, but while doing that I noticed something. When the game reloads after the credits and you’re on the ship, press start and if your mission says “Go to the Lodge (MAST district)” I was in a ‘normal’ universe everytime (this includes my 10 NG+ runs). If it just says “Go to the Lodge” you’re in a ‘Alt’ universe. Now admittedly, it was only twice I saw the difference in the wording of the mission but it was an alt universe each time (first one was with evil me/you, second time was when Andreja takes over). Again, it might not be an indicator it’s just something I noticed and wanted to share. I got every other beginning except the "evil you" version. After learning Scott Porter (Heimdall from God Of War) is your voice, I wished we got a voiced protagonist like in Fallout 4. I was part of the apparent minority of people who liked having a voiced protagonist in a Bethesda game.
Can you play the original MQ campaign normally in that universe or its the skipped version of NG+? Also what happens when you change your appearance does the NPC change too?
Im on NG+11 and i only got the Walter one so far and it was bugged. I would kinda be down to do a playthrough with the first one, hangout with myself lol
well here's hoping that shattered space, whenever it comes out, adds more unique ones, I'd like serious ones, but completely off the wall loopy ones in addition would be awesome, plus maybe a little more rng in how everyone turns outs rather than just constellation
Would have been cool if in the one where you meet yourself you can choose to either interfere with his journey and recruit him as a companion or just leave and let him go through the main quest like you originality did but have you the player be watching from the shadows keeping an eye on yourself maybe approach yourself and just not reveal your identity and offer little criptic hints here and there and during the story quest where one of constellations members would die you can step in and fight the hunter and prevent the death from happening.
I wonder what happens if you have kid stuff on the universe where you can have yourself on your crew. Does your parents just believe there is only one? Or do they treat you like a sibling to their kid lol.
Yeah they should of made them a full companion instead of just a crew member. Honestly the few lines they gave player character are some of the best in the game.
alternate you actually has some nice dialogue if you ask some questions (my char has alien experiment, so no parents) but my alternative had parents and really wholesome dialogue too
This is definitely an RPG. I just finished the game and I don't have enough time to see all the cool NG+ differences but this is super cool how they did the templating for this game in multiple playthroughs. Although I'd imagine having to grind again for all your personal items will turn off for many people who sunk 30+ hours into the NG0.
I dont see a reason for NG+, u cant customize new ship (so it sucks by default), you still can join all factions in 1 playthru: joining Vanguard will not cut u from Crimson Fleet, and Rangers will not cut u from Ruyjin, and outcome does not shape the world in current playthru. Romanceable characters almost all the same. Plus game does not have Schematics from Fallout 76, so you wont able to rebuild some of ur settlement interior in few clicks.
Yea I thought about this for a while I was playing ng+ after leaving behind everything I've done. The new ship is so cool looking though I think having that ship made me not care about losing my stuff. After the first ng+ getting to the next universe is actually way faster so you could ng+5 probably in a few hours if you rush it.
Imagine they can add another ten or so in every DLC. Keep everyone guessing for years, especially if the chance of some of them coming up is like one in ten thousand, or a hundred thousand, urban myth material.
Got the universe where your doppelganger killed everyone and then asked hadn't you ever gotten tired of all their talking and just wanted to shoot them? I was initially pissed at the other me, then remembered the 6th or 7th time through Unity where I killed Vladimir and Lin just to see what would happen.
11:22 “You killed my father! I I don’t care how many versions of you I have to kill“ Immediately follows up with…. “You’re a different version? Oh well you can go“ I could’ve been lying to her. So much for vengeance.
There should have been an option to go back to your universe through the unity, I have 130 hours into my playthrough there's no way in hell I'm starting a new game plus. Maybe after mod support, but hopefully somebody makes a mod to just jump through universes. Was such a stupid decision to force new game plus on people, I should be able to keep the stuff I spent 100s of hours collecting on top of getting the new ship and suit.
The Andreja one make you think. If she had not been caught by Sarah trying to communicate with as a spy she would have killed them all. Sarah catching her and her act of kindness completely changed Andreja. Maybe that was the guilt Andreja carried about not feeling like a full member. She remembered how close she came to killing them all. That said I'm glad she was the one I let die in my universe, she was the least good of the good group. She says some really sweet stuff to Sarah if she survives on that quest though, about her giving her a second chance.
I think it would be interesting if eldritch monsters, new aliens or entire planets were changed up and make it interesting when you go into the breach.
Has anyone else had random encounters in their original play through that never happened again? Eg. legendary ships, rogue ai, ships with all dead crew and aliens onboard? Or is it just a bug and I should keep re rolling my ng+. Also thanks for putting this compilation together. Saved a lot of time 👍
most of those are actually in fixed locations that you "discover" the first time you warp to that system. Outside of the Lodge/Constellation/temple locations, nothing actually changes going into NG+ runs.
I've done NG+ over a dozen times and I always reject a side and I've never got one of these alternate starts. Every time it was regular Constellation with Sarah Morgan waiting for me.
i think its about 1% chance (or something just as low) to see an alternate. Save in unity, then enter and see what you get. Took me 17 tries to see one of those and it was bugged.

I think it would of been funny if on the 10 universe, you wake up bound on a cart where it literally just does the Skyrim opening but before you would get your head chopped off, you wake up and you see that Legate Rikus taking Sarah place. Like the whole Universe is just Skyrim and Fallout Characters lol.
Am I seeing things, or is "Normal You" showing up in all the endings? Are they just permanently unlocked once you reach their universe for the first time?
That last one is literally the representation of all of us when we start a New Game on an RPG and decide to go Full Evil/Renegade after being kind people so many times.
Gotta make one where you walk in and everyone in Constellation is dressed in Skyrim outfits. Sarah's in Imperial Legion armor, Sam's dressed as a Stormcloak, Andreja is dressed as a Dark Brotherhood assassin, and Barrett is in stereotypical Dragonborn garb.
I'm currently level 118 and on NG+11, and still haven't gotten an "alternate" universe. I noticed there were very slight variations of dialog such as Matteo saying "which is clearly 100% fabricated" vs "which is clearly a lie". But that's it so far... Like I don't want to force it with console commands, but it's getting to the point now where I'm like wtaf... I've alternated between choosing the Hunter and Emissary, killing both of them, romancing different companions, not using any companions at all (unless forced), being "bad"/"good", hell even "chaotic neutral", being greedy, a thief/merc for hire... all to no avail.

All I wanted was the first one. It took me more than 24 hours and reloading a save multiple times to get it. Now I’m just enjoying the game with myself. I got every other beginning except the "evil you" version.
After learning Scott Porter (Heimdall from God Of War) is your voice, I wished we got a voiced protagonist like in Fallout 4. I was part of the apparent minority of people who liked having a voiced protagonist in a Bethesda game.
When do you save? Before you enter the lodge? before you go into Unity? I always seem to get the normal universe even after New game + 5.
@GreenPartyHat save before unity, theres a 15% chance to get a unique universe so if you don’t get one reload back and walk through unity again
Thank you!@@xGarbett
Are you on console
Can you play the original MQ campaign normally in that universe or its the skipped version of NG+? Also what happens when you change your appearance does the NPC change too?
''Maybe this isn't the first time you've come to the lodge and found things a little.... different''
PSYCHO MANTIS VIBES FOR SURE!
Im on NG+11 and i only got the Walter one so far and it was bugged. I would kinda be down to do a playthrough with the first one, hangout with myself lol
Go to your ship, access the ship cargo, go back to your inventory, this will unbug
well here's hoping that shattered space, whenever it comes out, adds more unique ones, I'd like serious ones, but completely off the wall loopy ones in addition would be awesome, plus maybe a little more rng in how everyone turns outs rather than just constellation
I love getting the original universe twice in a row 😍
Got it 10 times in a row...
I know right! I've gotten it 6 times in a row 😂😂
I got it every damn time
I've never gotten anything other than the original universe in my 10 NG+ rip
They need to lower the chances of getting a standard universe and up the chances of getting a unique one tbh
I wish if you could return to a universe where you left it behind like the first universe you started the game in it, that would be really cool
man, your charicter is just every hippster ever.
I wonder what happens if you have kid stuff on the universe where you can have yourself on your crew. Does your parents just believe there is only one? Or do they treat you like a sibling to their kid lol.
I just checked this out and it's exactly the same as always. They treat you like their son even if you have yourself as a companion with you.
thats sucks considering they did add starborn dialogue @@MysticMothman
Would be cool if you could have yourself for a companion in that last one, a star born companion would be badass
After the first ng+ getting to the next universe is actually way faster so you could ng+5 probably in a few hours if you rush it.
if you think THIS is an rpg then you havent played baldurs gate or for that matter any other rpg
@@fawkyou2001 What an insipid take... smh
139 hours in ng0... i need a life
Would love to see one where everyone in Constellation is replaced by mannequins wearing their clothing.
Rook
;inhales;
smashcut to slaughtering the entire key... again
Impressive. I didn't know there were so many alternate endings. I doubt many players do
@@GAMarine137 I think I’m a clone now
Imagine they can add another ten or so in every DLC. Keep everyone guessing for years, especially if the chance of some of them coming up is like one in ten thousand, or a hundred thousand, urban myth material.
Having an ingame way to have an alternate universe version of the pc as a follower is so cool ngl
actually insane theres this many different plots. on these runs the open world probably changes as well
multiverse my friend
No
14:44 But then I thought, why not try something different this time. Only to find out that quest related NPCs can't be killed.
Oh man this video is great. I didn't even know this was possible. I've done one playthrough.
Thanks for uploading this. Definitely not worth NG++ several times just for a different cutscene.
They should have taken this even further. Have different NPCs take on different roles like the Freestar collective leader being the head of Sys Def
The All You Universe is kinda awsome ngl
Got the universe where your doppelganger killed everyone and then asked hadn't you ever gotten tired of all their talking and just wanted to shoot them? I was initially pissed at the other me, then remembered the 6th or 7th time through Unity where I killed Vladimir and Lin just to see what would happen.
11:22 “You killed my father! I I don’t care how many versions of you I have to kill“
Immediately follows up with….
“You’re a different version? Oh well you can go“
I could’ve been lying to her. So much for vengeance.
Thanks. I knew not much more happens. After seeing this video, I know its not worth loosing all my ships and outposts
Cheers, mate. Good editing.
I would be stoked if The Hunter became a possible follower.
These are perfect for Alternate Start mods.
@@kzar99 oh i know about that method but to be honest i have no desire to save scum a result.
Thanks for the reply as it will help others who are trying to trigger them.
Thanks for doing this. I just got to NG+5 and i have yet to see a variant. In the one with Vasco alone, who was standing in the room? I think the last one with Evil You also had what looked to be your character in normal clothes reading a book... what is with that?
Also, what did the note say in the "Kids" version?
I guess Star-Lord will meet more of himself then.
wow these are awesome, im curious how the main campaign plays out in these universes. im also wondering if its possible to save before starting a ng+ then loading that save to see if you get one of these univserses.
About the last one, it's funny that the game doesn't even allow to kill members of Constellation yourself since everyone is marked as 'essential'.
I think the normal you universe is the best for final universe to settle in. Everyone is still alive + "you".
My favorite is no bugs universe
The one with multiple yous, do they all stay there or disappear after a bit?
*Starborn shows up*
Everyone in the lodge: "Well I'm gonna just take you at your word, nothing could possibly go wrong"
Imagine if you could actually talk to that plant. Also the parallel universe with kids at the lodge, it would be hilarious to see kids run new Atlantis and the crimson fleet! 😂. Reminded me of those kids in fallout that made their own society.
Little Lamplight
Exiling your multiverse self to mine for minerals on a back water planet would be hilarious.
Am I seeing things, or is "Normal You" showing up in all the endings? Are they just permanently unlocked once you reach their universe for the first time?
I think its bugged don’t think he is suppose to spawn in all of them 🤣
That last one is literally the representation of all of us when we start a New Game on an RPG and decide to go Full Evil/Renegade after being kind people so many times.
Never.
Brah, openning the door to a group of MCs had me dying.
I was just waiting for a conga line to start.
I’ve went into unity for a second time, and when I went to the lodge it was the exact same as unity one? Don’t know if my games glitched
I enjoy it when RUclips pushes spoilers into my feed how neat
I kept expecting a Rick and Morty reference in all these.
Thanks for putting the spoiler right in the title. Always best to make the spoilers completely unavoidable.
The one being in a universe with multiple versions of myself would be great 😂
Would be nice if they were easier to find. I'm on NG 6 and have seen the same scenario in 5 of them.
I've alternated between choosing the Hunter and Emissary, killing both of them, romancing different companions, not using any companions at all (unless forced), being "bad"/"good", hell even "chaotic neutral", being greedy, a thief/merc for hire... all to no avail.
the universe of plants. I laughed when I saw that they were all plants 😂😂😂
I am Groot
I had no idea that there would a bunch of different versions. It's a good way to keep people playing after they have finished the game a few times.
jeeze the thing is you'd gotta speed run each universe if you wanna get to see all the differences but this is crazy, i also hear constellation isnt the only thing with its differences tho, but who wants to spend 300 hours each universe lol
holy crap they are all the same. thanks for the video duder.
Appreciate this. I wanted to play all, but after realizing you lose a lot of content in them, I'm gonna stop rerolling for them.
ok the evil version needs an option to say yeah i love what you've done with the place god i hated all these stiffs ya know to get a reaction of "oh hell another evil me FINALLY"
This is wild lol, I’m not even 10 hours into my first play through and have no idea what a bunch of these phrases mean. My mind is being blown
