Yep, you're absolutely correct that you can do that! However, we opted to direct viewers to inside the cabin so that the 10a INJ fuse can be left available for aftermarket headlights DRL's or if they already have aftermarket heads. Thanks though for watching and commenting! We appreciate ya!
I have a 2021. My fuse box is completely full, I would need to remove the IGN no.3 and the replace it with the add a fuse. It won’t mess anything up yeah? I’m a noob to all of this!
You can also use your 10a INJ fuse in your engine bay fuse box if that’s easier. And it’s okay if locations already have a fuse - the add a fuse allows you to tap (for lack of a better word) into an existing fuse location to gain the functionality of that fuse location.
Never used the add a fuse connection before.... Can someone validate what I am thinking please? This question is related to plugging into the interior fuse box. I need to remove a fuse from the fuse box. This slot is the IGN slot. I plug that fuse into the add a fuse extension along with the one provided in the TGP kit. Right?
I think thats the reason that my dash is flickering every now and then. I have mine as 2-10a. Did everyone have an issue with a flickering dash also? Ill try to change one of the fuses to 15a to see if it will make a difference.
If you visit our product page you can see what they look like turned on. Also, in the video we show it as well. We didn't use a switch - our kit is tapped in to a switch that activates the lights when the vehicle is turned on. Here's the product page: trailgridpro.com/shop/lighting/raptor-lights-white/
Do these lights just turn on and stay on when the engine is on? Or is there some way to also install a switch so we can turn them on or off if we want?
Yo, I just bought your kit, for my 2017 sr5 4Runner. Tell me how, are you gonna provide a video code to the instructions (this video) and say in the paper that the new kit doesn’t require routing through the fire wall, and proceeding to sell a kit that can’t even connect to the engine fuse box and not even long enough to fit in the cabin fuse box to go around that initial problem. P.S. UPDATE YOUR DAME ADD-A-CIRCUIT TOO IF YOUR GONNA SHORTEN THE WIRES. ITS TOO DAME THICK TO FIT IN GROOVES OF THE ENGINE FUZE BOX.
Yep, you're absolutely correct! We have all of that noted in our instruction guide included with the kit. Also, you're going to want to make a notch in your engine bay fuse box to fit the wire. It's a much easier installation than the video explains since you don't have to go into the cabin anymore. We appreciate ya!
How can I place those light into my 2021 4runner, the Toyota emblem is in the way. But i appreciate your video those light really add to the badass looks to this truck

@@TrailGridPro Bought from 4Runnerlifestyle and plugged into the only open spot in the cabin fuse box. Didn’t see the engine compartment fuse box option until after it was installed.
@@maplesmayhem8499 Ah, then you’re probably in the incorrect fuse spot in the cabin fuse box. You’re not looking for an empty slot, you’re looking for the fuse location that’s activated with ignition power. In our 4Runner TRD Pro it’s the location row closest to the exterior of the vehicle and 8 fuse locations back from the front of the vehicle. You’ll remove the fuse currently in the location, add it to the add-a-fuse empty slot, and then put the add-a-fuse in the same location slot. Here’s the section of the video that we mention this: ruclips.net/video/_G6NCpBN6pE/видео.html

I have a 2022 4Runner OF. I do plan on swapping out the headlights so I would like to avoid using the fuse box in the engine bay. Can I piggyback the ACC/TAIL fuse under the dash without any issues?
I’ve heard people say use the ACC slot with add a fuse and piggy back on to that fuse. And is this a 2020 or newer? Seems like the fuse box inside are different. Also does it matter what amp add a fuse you buy? Example: if we piggy back on to a 10A would I need a 10A or higher? Wondering if it’ll do any damage if I do this wrong. I have a 2020 4runner off road premium btw and got the raptor lights from 4runner lifestyle
Hi. Where is the fuse located to use under the hood fuse box vs going thru the firewall plug? Will the fuse cover box lid still close? And what would you use the for the ground wire? Thx
You can use the INJ fuse in the fuse box under the hood and most 4Runners have a 10mm bolt on the side wall near the fuse box so you can use that as a ground. The fuse box won’t close so when we use the fuse box for this install we carve a little notch in the side of the lid to allow for the wires to freely move out of the box and the lid will close.
Hello, hope all is well. Want to have these connected to lights, I don’t want them on all the time…is this possible for them to turn on only when the lights are on?

if you remove your engine fuse box cover, there should be a little white tool attached to the underside of the lid. Its basically plastic pliers. They're used for removing the fuses.
Dont put it through the fire wall - you can install them in the main fuse box in the engine bay in the 10 volt INJ fuse
Yep, you're absolutely correct that you can do that! However, we opted to direct viewers to inside the cabin so that the 10a INJ fuse can be left available for aftermarket headlights DRL's or if they already have aftermarket heads. Thanks though for watching and commenting! We appreciate ya!
I already have a fuse add on 10amp INJ slot of my Alpharexx headlight . Could I still add this fuse into the INJ together with my headlight?

You absolutely can!
Hey noticed that the add a fuse you plugged in had a 15A when the one you replaced with the add a fuse was a 10A. Just wondering if that matters?
As long as it's an ignition fuse location you will be fine. You can also use the 10a INJ fuse location in the engine bay fuse box if that's easier!
I think thats the reason that my dash is flickering every now and then. I have mine as 2-10a. Did everyone have an issue with a flickering dash also? Ill try to change one of the fuses to 15a to see if it will make a difference.

Yep, these are an aesthetic improvement. The light output is not much.
Do these lights just turn on and stay on when the engine is on? Or is there some way to also install a switch so we can turn them on or off if we want?
As soon as turn engine on mine are on as well. Be cool to get confirmation if that's correct?
I got them installed in a shop, they somehow connected them so I can turn them on or off with a switch.

Do these turn on and turn off with your headlights ? Or is it just whenever the truck is on?
Great question - with the wiring instructions we’ve provided in this video they’ll always be on when the truck is on.
Are these legal? Particularly in Washington state.
Honestly, not 100% sure of the legal do/don't in Washington state - but they aren't super bright so hopefully they'd be legal!
How would you add a switch?
Good question! I know there’s a kit out there somewhere that adds a switch and it’s something we’ve talked about but haven’t completed yet.
How did you remove the IGN fuse? It’s too tight to do by hand or with needle nose pliers for me.
Hmm, if I remember correctly it just pulled out for us on this rig. But, other times we’ve used a slip joint plier and it’ll do the trick.
if you remove your engine fuse box cover, there should be a little white tool attached to the underside of the lid. Its basically plastic pliers. They're used for removing the fuses.
The fuse that you plug in with the red wire doesn’t fit into my fuse box under the dash? Do you know how to fix that

Any ignition fuse whether in the engine bay fuse box or cabin fuse box should work!
Question - can I use this fuse in place of the DRLs (have my raptor lights as DRLs)
I’d recommend using the INJ fuse in your engine bay fuse box for your DRL’s.
No because the DRLs operate on a 6 volt system.
