This particular aircraft, called Mount Olympus, is 47M long and is one of 6 727s purchased by Aristotelis Onassis for domestic flights, but also for flights to nearby European cities. It was acquired by Olympic Aviation in 1968 and landed from Seattle at Ellinikos Airport in 1969.
The historic aircraft of the Olympic Aviation Mount Olympus was placed as a tourist attraction on a side street of Vouliagmenis avenue at the height of the Hellenic one next to the sourmena stadium and is visible to anyone moving in the stream from Athens to Glyfada.
So a very beautiful space has been created there. The Olympic Aviation Square, the placing of the aircraft there and the configuration of the space was done by the municipality of Hellinikon Argyroupoli and with the kind sponsorship of the Greek Cypriot businessman Andreas Christodoulidis.
Let's say, but now some characteristics of the specific aircraft of the Borg 727. The Boeing 727 is a three engine jet aircraft with a narrow fuselage and was used in passenger airlines and cargo transport. It was manufactured by the Boeing company from 1963 to 1984. It carried from 149 to 189 passengers. It was intended for its small and medium size and could use small and medium airports for landing.
