I am a guy who will be forwarding this to all my female friends, I find this so enlightening and myth-busting. Thank you Traya Health for coming up with such an informative and useful podcast.
I just wish every gynae was like that. My friend had pain and irregular periods and she lived away from home(we were in the first year of college). She told her symptoms to the doctor and the doctor said bas aajkal ki ladkiyon ka yahi hai zara si independence mili nahi ki doctoron ke chakkar lagani lagti hain and started laughing, my friend told her that she's not sexually active and was in extreme pain. To which the doc said mujhe mat banao, pregnancy test karao aur apni mummy ko sath leke aao tab aana. She cried so much and was traumatized by that first visit that she endured that for 2 more days until we convinced her to visit another doctor who was thankfully very supportive. Turned out she had a big ovarian cyst and later got the treatment for it
Exactly i have had worst experience with gynacs across 4 different cities now , hardly there’s any one like Dr Anjali Kumar , and even if there is - they are either in a big metropolitan tier one city or are very expensive or both
I also face this issue ...whenever i go to gynae with my friend she told ki kuch ni hua ....shadi karwale sahi hojega ....😑one says ...mother ko leke ana ...i was always thinking what about those girls who have no mother......to another doctor she said change your lifestyle , but how not tell, at that time i also not know how to manage all, another doctor ,i diagonised with pcod and cyst ....at that time my brother was with me , she told him j pcod pocd kuch ni hota ...jb insan j soche ki mai esi vaise hu tb ho jata ..means overthink karta .......this was the worst feeling and the day , how any doctor talk like this , being a lady she also knows ki girls ko kis emotions k sath gujrna pdta .....from that day , i never visit to any gynae , and try to fix all by searching , learning gaining knowledge.😢
Mujhe chocolate cyst h 9.1cm ki kuchh hi din phle pta chla pmch m dikhwai thi ,doc n medicine di h 2month k liye medicine se thik ho jayega please batayee ,agar surgery Krna pde toh kha best hoga, mai unmarried hu 26yrs ki
What a podcast! I am awed. Doing interviews are easy, but asking the right questions at the right time and for the right amount of time makes an excellent interview. You achieved all that!
This podcast is so beautiful. Me being a doctor, me being suffering frm pms and pcod , i can totally relate and the struggle of not able to make my in laws understand this,is a big challenge. I thought something is wrong with me only but this podcast helped me alot. Gave me immense peace that am not alone and people do understand this, i was so tired of explaining them what i have been suffering alone. They r the most ignorant ppl. But thnq for this podcast i have been making changes in lifestyle n my stress frm last 1 month n m at much better place now.
I think I took the roght decision to plan for my baby at an early age. The stress, the pain, the mental and physical damage is pretty much bearable and manageable in 20s. Im 23 and conceived naturally without any risk and my baby is also born healthy. Im still recovering from the child birth but taking care of a child is a hectic job with additional burden of recovery yourself.
Few days back only i was saying the same thing to my husband, today every single woman is suffering frm pcos, thr must be something wrong with our society bcz woman is juggling many jobs at the same time. Its the woman who’s body and mind is suffering the most todays time.
I used to play, walk and had an active lifestyle at 16-17. My mom was a dietician so I used to eat good balanced food, we were not allowed to eat much junk. I had all sorts of healthy lifestyle but I still have PCOS from the age of 16.
We need to understand that it’s not our lifestyle but our environment that causes pcos. Everything we eat we use contains micro plastics and this microplastics acts as hormone disrupter. There has been a case study done on a few generation of crocodiles when they have been given the factor x which is the micro plastics in this case and it was found that the crocodile became infertile after 5 generations, that’s where our world is heading too. It’s almost impossible to avoid those products
Same here. My mother is from rural uttarakhand, so she ate healthy organic food. So did I but still had PCOS from age of 16 . But it got better with age. With gods grace conceived my first child naturally, after which the pcos nearly disappeared.
Not only food and exercise, products we use or are exposed to during our lifetime, also contribute to PCOD... Use of plastics, disposable pads, cleaning products not only on ourselves, but also home cleaning products all have been known to be hormone disruptors...
So many misconceptions have been debunked, and numerous concerns have been effectively addressed thanks to this podcast's crucial insights into women's health. The in-depth discussions and contributions from professionals Dr. Anjali make complex topics remarkably accessible. I deeply appreciate the way you approach these issues with compassion and an unwavering determination to eliminate the long-standing stigma attached to them. A big thank you and congratulations to the entire Traya Health team and Dr. Anjali for delivering an exceptional podcast that has not only educated but also empowered countless listeners.
Shes honest and clear about so many facts that go against current lifestyle. This needs to reach more people. Thank you💖 to Dr. Anjali, and the host was amazing as well😍
I was diagnosed with PCOD at 15 and finally got rid of it at 22. Thankyou God. And this podcast was necessary! Thankyou Traya Health and Dr. Anjali! I just wanted her to tell side effects of pills. She should have been more honest about it.
Thank you for this, it's a great and informative conversation Just one addition here about the rise in C-sections it is also because of incorrect operations and diagnosis, it's actually alarming in India, there is a documentary on this by CNA, I totally recommend it for all to be aware
Yes i watched it couple of weeks back. Recommend everyone to watch it and get awareness. Absolutely alarming how the doctors are giving wrong diagnosis just because c-section is time saving and generating more pennies.
What a fabulous podcast. Such an eye opener on so many subjects related to women's health. Big thank you to the host and Dr. Anjali for explaining the topics so well and with so much patience.
Dr Anjali, As you mentioned, PCOS is caused by insulin resistance. We can’t blame everything on weight gain. There are plenty of thin women having PCOS and plenty of overweight women not having PCOS. I have gone through full cycle of dealing with PCOS starting at the age of 16 to going through fertility treatments. Losing weight did not cure my PCOS. It’s depressing to know but PCOS is life long. Losing weight will help you improve symptoms but insulin resistant will make it 10 times harder to lose any weight.
I have lean PCOS as well. Was put on hormones then got breast cancer 😢. I had always been thin active. I'm menopausal now and miserable because of my triple positive breast cancer I can't take hrt. Nobody addresses this. It's a lifelong struggle 😢
There is one thing with the doctors as well - if you are not ill or facing any difficulty with your body do not visit the doctor. I faced this question twice last year. Once I visited a dentist for regular checkup and then to a gynaecologist with no health issues to discuss.
OMG. Such an insightful video. Got diagnosed with PCOD during my bachelor's, while staying at the hostel. I could relate to all the circumstances..... Eating junk, staying up the whole night..... Tensions n all.
Mam you put in all the medical importance in one channel , please continue with more videos ! We are always here to support you ! Trayahealth is just awesome❤
Dr Anjali radiates knowlege,.confidence and compassion. Loved this talk..😂 how can the infection jump up form toilet seat into bladder..used to wonder about that too! Did not seem logical
The interviewer has such a beautiful personality.. and Dr Anjali ki toh baat hi alag hai ❤ have been following her through my pcos and pregnqncy journey..
Thank you for this insightful episode. I would like to see Traya Health covering more about endometriosis as well. Please get a gynaecologist who can speak on endometriosis. Many women in India are diagnosed with endometriosis & there is lack of right knowledge about the treatment, lifestyle, and diagnosis.
This is very productive session. But I was hoping to hear at least something about the Endometriosis. As Dr Anjali is specialised in this area (Endometriosis) so it could have more good session if we had those details discussed in the podcast.
Very very informative. Wish I had heard this when my daughter was 15. It's when she is 16, lifestyle changed and there is an impact. Trying to undo it now, but prevention is so much better than cure. Must watch for all girls and parents. Thank you so much
Thank you for talking about intimate hygiene and removing the myths about waxing down there. These kinds of videos are eye openers honestly. Very informative!!! 👍👍💯💯.
This is such a good informative podcast. There are many terms Dr. Anjali taught us in the medical world what they meant with basic examples. It all makes so much sense. One thing she said Trust your doc is so true.
I am a physiotherapist... Any kind of abdominal binder is needed. There is enough evidence to prove this. Abdominal binders helps substituting ur weak core... Hence protecting ur lumbar spine, while ur muscles starts getting tones after 9month long, stretch. Also tummy tuckers helps developing good pelvic floor contractions hence great improving core strength. The podcast is really nice nd informative, only that the Role of a physiotherapist is not available, nd it's completely okay bcz Dr Anjali is a gynec,,,,
Wonderful podcast. From this we can learn a lot of information regarding women health and also how to take care of our health. Thank you so much for this podcast.
Very informative. after a while i have watched something on youtube without fast forwarding the video and increasing the speed. This episode is a must watch for all ages for females out there.
Really Madam 'our Grandmas times were less complicated' - they did so much physical work - complete housework, plus bearing numerous kids, managing huge clans without any support other than their own capacity. Todays woman has no/low physical activity (even kids are surrogate-birthed) and then looked after by nannies, servants, drivers fed by cooks, cleaning homes by maids/machines. That 'multi-tasking' is just mental and emotional with jobs, business, screentime, social media presence with food that is not nutritious (fast snacks not even meals) adding to stress
Amazing podcast 👍 i remember I went to my gynec saying I m suddenly gaining weight..m i having pcod or something..she laughed n said..u r simply eating more n being in lockdown no physical work 😂 get that rt. I was happy n amazed the way she said..eat less..eat healthy n be physically active..😊 n it worked..thanks for bursting myths around..
There is a genetic component to this that few talk about. It you have a father or grandfather who is bald, there is a good chance that the male progeny may also contribute to not being able to get pregnant. The daughters of such father may have some type of infertility issue such as PCOS. It is now likely that PCOS is actually what it is called Metabolic Disorder. Please look into this.
This was a great podcast. However, the only two things spoken about which I am uncertain of and therefore, don’t quite agree with are:- 1) Contraceptive Pills are safe 2) Unclean and unhygienic toilets don’t cause UTI. Having spoken with several gynaecologists and surgeons, most agree that contraceptive pills for extended period of time can cause infertility or other complications and that unhygienic toilets can trigger UTI.
This is what we called a podcast by which we learn something meaningful ❤ thnku so much ❤ Dr. Anjali is such a sweetheart not all the gynac is like that i remember i went to a gynac for checkup of my delayed periods nd that time i just got married nd i told her that my periods are not regular since 2-3 months nd i happened first time like after my marriage nd she instantly being rude nd like why are u lying nd it can happened without marriage nd i was like yaa i know that but bcz I myself is a medical student but i told her after marriage is bcz i wanted her to know whole story like it can happened due to many reasons like stree, hormonal imbalance ,genetics nd wht not 😢 But although if we got such a supportive gynac we will gonna easily to talk to or not gonna hesitate to discuss ❤

What a lovely podcast it is..! Absolutely great. Found lots of answers of my questions without seeking a gynaecologist and also understood that I need to see a gynaecologist soon. Thank you Dr. Anjali & Traya..❤
❤Such a great podcast. And the questions you asked are so good. Dr. Anjali speaks quite clearly without giving any bookish gibberish that we( the ordinary people) can't understand. Thanks for the episode.🙏
Thank you so much for making this video, all my questions were answered. .like literally all of them. So well made, to the point. Thank you to the great hostess and the doctor guest.
Beautiful content!! Very well informed and educated. Absolutely a must watch.. good luck to the makers for future creation, please be careful to maintain the quality.
I totally understand and accept what you told Dr. Mytri. My question is, you doctor's say not to shave just to prevent from infections but during any surgery down there why you guys suggest to shave as the pre surgery procedure? That should also be avoided I feel.
Because they are doing a surgery! The surgical area needs to be prepped and sterile. You would not want hair to get in to the open wound and then stitched up, would you?
So informative, thank you to host and Dr. Anjali for helping in understanding body’s physiology, health awareness and lifestyle choices impacts and that too with a lot of patience
Thank you so much for all the information. The questions asked were also so apt.Although it was a long podcast,i hung on to each and every word of dr.anjali.❤
Such a crystal clear information and answers, and aptly asked questions. Thank you so much. They say that medicine for worms(albendazole) shouldn't be consumed if someone is planning for pregnancy...is this is a myth or truth? If consumed already, should there be a gap in planning...Please help to clarify this.
Great podcast. All the right information in one place . Such a matured and level headed conversation. Otherwise opinions from some gynecologists can scar you for life .
Girls. I have been suffering from pcod and never get periods. It led to lot of facial hair pimples and obesity. I took the advice of naturopathy medicine.trust me. Within 2 months I got periods. But to regulate it apparently You should take the medicine upto 1 year. Pls consider taking naturopathy medicine.
I truly appreciated the podcast and found the content insightful. Regarding the discussion on postnatal belly wrapping and laddus, I respectfully differ in opinion. In Ayurveda, these practices are seen as having a scientific basis, contributing to the well-being of women in managing postnatal imbalances, both physically and mentally.
#Trayahealth thanks for inviting experts. Your programs are driving reforms through making people aware about health, associated problems and cure. In the current era Obesity is a growing pandemic in India. Obesity is an underrated issue and needs attention. I will request your team to invite Dr Manish Khaitan (Ahmedabad) to your Podcast. He is a Bariatric surgeon. He is treating Obesity in India. He is a Pioneer in the field of Obesity treatment.
Great podcast 👌 Covered almost all the major concerns of women. Dr Anjali explained it so well in such a calming and positive way 👍
Superb podcast ❤😊🎉😊❤
Please convey our million thanks and gratitude to Dr Anjali
I am a guy who will be forwarding this to all my female friends, I find this so enlightening and myth-busting. Thank you Traya Health for coming up with such an informative and useful podcast.

Very informative. after a while i have watched something on youtube without fast forwarding the video and increasing the speed. This episode is a must watch for all ages for females out there.
Such a great podcast. Kudos to the team for being so apt & informative.
Really Madam 'our Grandmas times were less complicated' - they did so much physical work - complete housework, plus bearing numerous kids, managing huge clans without any support other than their own capacity.

Contraceptives can NEVER cause infertility. We have researchers on it and as doctors we've studied it.
So much wisdom in just one Podcast..! KUDOS to the Team work!
Mangoes may help with pcos and getting pregnant with pcos, also try the mango inner seed powder..
57:42 Dr anjali kumar again won my heart here❤

Such a crystal clear information and answers, and aptly asked questions. Thank you so much. They say that medicine for worms(albendazole) shouldn't be consumed if someone is planning for pregnancy...is this is a myth or truth? If consumed already, should there be a gap in planning...Please help to clarify this.

Hello can u share regarding it
Best podcast I have ever heard
Thanks for the knowledge
