I did not think of a Lazy Susan. I was looking at the higher priced electric ones with all the lights but I have lights and everything. Thank you so much for this video bro.
Tape String to the outside of the turntable, wrap the string around the circular base and slowly pull on the string to turn the turntable at a steady speed.
thank you
I did something similar for a video I shot last year, one thing I did that you didn't mention is I shot in slo mo mode (120 FPS). It makes the resulting motion smoother and allowed me to dial in the rotation speed I wanted in post.
if you attach a long stop of card or even a cord and wrap around the turntable you can easily revolve the turntable smoothly and be out of the shot
What a great tutorial, Blake! You could skim RUclips forever and find endless DIY how-to’s, but you really know how to deliver this type of content. Thanks as always and keep making EVERYTHING!
Appreciate that, thanks!
I really enjoyed this video with how you showed the little tricks. Great job. Cheers
FANTASTIC MAN !
Unbelievable. Well done. Subscribed! Right up my street!
This is what I need, thank you very much
Awesome tip, thanks for sharing!
Manilla folders to use as a light flag: now THAT is one I didn’t think of! Love that! Ok, so, when are you shipping your folding Falcon Eyes to me? 👍😊
While I'm not using household items, I'm going to be doing the same thing with my rebranding. Got a motorized turntable and bought a set go those science fair trifold thingies. I basically wanted a green one and a blue one so I can do keying. if I want a solid white or black background I can to that too.
Thanks for the video Blake. I have been trying to use a record player but had some problems. You have given me more ideas. You have a great channel.
Thanks! Glad you’ve found it helpful.
Much needed video....thanks!
Brilliant tip !
This was awesome !!

Great to hear! Thanks for watching.
Great video thank you
Awesome video!
Very interesting, thanks for sharing =)
I use old Vinyl player. Works great. :)
Great tips! I need to buy more stands so I can make flags.
Nice video.I wonder how many polished shots we’ve seen on adverts etc are done like this?
Thanks Blake...I picked up on of these turntables and have yet to shoot anything on it.
I wonder if you could use some old lego robotics stuff with gears and create an automatic turntable.
Genius! 😂
What video editor or photo did you use my iPhone video screen doesn’t look like that? Great video!
This video just earned you a sub. 👍🏽
Cool. Thanks for watching & subbing!
that's so @iPhonedo ish hahahha. Nice vid! (Liked!)
Would look a lot smoother if you could get away with 60fps and play back at 50% speed! Cool video 👍
Yeah shooting slomo is definitely an option!
Reading the title, I thought it was a DIY turntable shots, as in alcohol shots.I was like that should come in handy this summer.
Lol
I purchased this with your link...
Great tutorial.
One question though, would a ring light be a good alternative for the Aputure RGB LED light?
Sure, really any light could work, especially in a DIY setup. Thanks for watching!
👍🏻😍😍👍🏻
Nice,... I'll take it! How much do you want for the can opener? 😁
😃
The iPhone 11 Pro Max is not Low Budget, just kidding, very nice video, thanks!
Was this Blake unveiled, or has there been a previous video I missed?
Ha, making cameo appearances in videos since 2012. :)
@@iphoneographers Well, don't I feel silly!
5th. 😃🤙🏽🌮
how the f is this on a low budget. please explain.
Nice video, but that large light turns this from DIY to semi pro.
the rotation speed is not uniform
First!!
High-end shot on a low budget... If this doesn't speak to the fact that lighting is so important I don't know what does. If you got those lights just by a 15$ Rotating Display Stand....
bring studio stuff to the kitchen and call it DIY :|
These aren’t studio lights,, not even close. They are super affordable and portable and great for all kinds of setups especially DIY stuff.
Low budget... continues to use hundreds of dollars of equipment
Correct. Normally it’d be thousands of dollars of gear. This is actually ultra low budget.
