I disagree, the value of a sealed product is directly related to the potential pulls, reduce the quality of the pulls and a sealed box looses value. If you have no trust in the quality of the supply then you wouldn’t buy the product.

The whole reason a sealed pack has any value is the possibility of a valuable card inside. No different than vintage sold as heavy and light packs with a huge discount. Once you know exactly what’s in them it changes everything. The problem will be the Leonharts or anyone with money that can buy and scan these packs and boxes pick out what they want then sell the rest for a profit to people that have no chance of getting any value. Basically kills the entire market for vintage heavy packs.

With all due respect, you guys are just way off base thinking the scanning is nothing. They already dropped their prices to $15 a pack and are offering case scanning. There's very little good That can come out of this.

It is hard to tell if $15 is the cheapest option or if it is an add-on to the $75 price. Either way I think they are both (especially Jon) highly underestimating the impact of this. Other youtubers are right to show concern and it's disappointing to see Jon miss the mark here. There will likely be a race to the bottom in terms of price offerings for this service. It won't be long till it makes sense to use CT scanning on sets even as recent as a few years ago. The value from sealed products comes from the possibility of what you open, not just being sealed. That is why heavy packs are worth more than light. The risk now is someone buying heavy packs, scanning them for profitable hits and selling back the rest to the market.

Just don't buy vintage packs then. If you really want to then make the seller get it scanned before you buy.

I also do not know if this scanning company legally can provide the service to look into packs or boxes. I would think that the bbb would investigate at least. It kind of paves the way for them to commit fraud.

I believe for McDonalds, they do Collab's. So mcdonalds AND the collaborator get paid. They get a portion of every sale.

Jirachi!!! The only thing I need as a collector from those store exclusive bundles are the jumbos. Once the sets have been cracked for the other cards and packs, will pick up the jumbos from eBay for far less than the $50 price tag.
