MicroNeedling 👍👍 // YOUR BEST At Home SKIN DEVICE

  • MicroNeedling may be your best at home skin device. Some people try Radiofrequency, HIFU, microcurrent, galvanics and LEDs. I believe these can be dangerous for many as the power output and depth of many of the DIY devices are so uncontrollable and varying. Microneedling on the other hand can be learned and individualized for those interested in taking some time to study and get to know their skin. My #1 for my patients is Anteage Growth Factor Microneedling kit. Firstly I like growth factors. Second the device is sharp and safe to use. Thirdly the solution is studied to be safe for exactly this purpose. As a bonus it is very very cost effective for the results.

I have been microneedling at home on and off for the past eight years. My skin always looks amazing after the roller marks goes away. I do use a much larger needle without any numbing cream. It is painful and that is probably why I dread using it. I was never really sure when and what to apply to my skin before and after. This video really helped. Also, approximately six months ago, I purchased the pen. My eyebrows were very thin on top from taking a shaver to them when I was very young and I had to fill the spots in with pencil everyday. Since I started using it on my eyebrows (once a week) they have filled in beautifully and can go without any eyebrow pencil. Even my husband is surprised at how well this worked.

I use a derma pen depths 0.25 for nano (36 pin) with medical grade hydraulic acid every 2 weeks. Once a month I do medical at depths of 0.5 to 1.5ml (16 pins) with hydraulic acid. I drop all the actives and RetinA for a week before and after. I have seen alot of benefits. Before I had flaking skin, extremely red rosacea, uneven texture, scars, large pores. I have noticed my face feels tighter, smooth, less red, and i have a nice glow, and look well rested. I noticed the fine lines are improving I can hardly see them. I have been taking monthly pictures of progress since I started couple months ago. I use a fresh cartilage and my fingers don't touch the product.

Dr Rajani can you please make a more in-depth video on microneedling? I started to use Dr Pen recently and it is definitely more invasive than dermarollers. There's a lot of conflicting information out there so would be great to get some proper advice. What needle length do you use on different parts of the face and body, can you microneedle around the eyes, on the neck etc.; how do you maximise the results while still staying safe, i.e. avoiding damage to the nerves, what should you use during the treatment - you've touched on it in the video, some people use vitamin C serum while others say it's unsafe. I've heard that it can help with hair growth. Can it also help with eyebrows in this case? You seem to concentrate on the facial treatments but I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on microneedling for stretch marks and cellulite. Thank you for the great content - I've been binge watching your videos over the past few days and have already made some changes to my routines/treatments

I bought a package at my providers office. It's 3 microneedling (skin pen) with chemical peels, alternating within 4 to 6 weeks of each other. I had my 1st microneedling session, nothing infused into skin, just a heavy duty numbing cream. (is a surgical center) I wasn't as red as I thought I'd be! I was a bit pink and splotchy for 2 days, peeled a tiny bit for 2, back to normal by day 5. I loved it, I feel some of the texture that was around my nose mid cheek area is almost gone already, with just 1! I do notice some softening of my cheek lines. Can't wait to see what happens when I'm done with the whole series. My peels have always been mild pca peels and feel I like the microneedling better! It didn't hurt at all, the peels do burn feel hot.

I love microneedling and do it at home often. Really enjoy the freedom of a shallow needling because I can use more stuff and not be limited to hyaluronic acid (not a big fan of that over-hyped ingredient). Really like using Neogenesis Recovery with a 0.25 treatment. Have a Derminator2 for deeper medical needling with a 12-pin cartridge. Also have a Dr.Pen M8 for nano-needling (which I don't do anymore since starting on tretinoin as I don't want to irritate my skin). Also have the AnteAge package with the needling solution. Did a deeper needling two weeks ago so ready for a CN treatment now. Sometimes I just use a little roller when I just want a little deeper product penetration. I try not to use numbing cream because I don't like that cold sensation on my skin or the risk of not getting all of it off and it getting into my skin

Thanks Doc! Years ago I was using dermaroller after experiencing in treatment at office MD. Later I discover dermapen and I found more easier and precise! And my very old acne scars on my chin area fading away, not completely. But I’m happy! I use since years tretinoin OTC. Get used very well. I Dermapen every two week and don’t use tretinoin just after! No matter for my skin. Hyaluronic acid is my companion and since is dry easily I spray another watery hyaluronic when necessary! People say it’s an invasive treatment! I strongly believe it’s not when you use brain and a good practice! Never used numbing cream to better control the feeling on my skin because I don’t want bleeding! Don’t think it’s necessary for a best result. Am I right? Much love from Italy xoxo

I usually microneedle my under eye area and forehead. Numbing cream I got from my injector, so I'm sure it's safe for me. During the 'session' i apply pure HA followed by a professional product for mesotherapy. After the treatment I apply "after- treatment" eyepads. They are awesome! Later on castor oil only sooths my skin properly. Everything I do and use I discussed with my doctor to avoid anything bad to happen.
But soon microneedling I shall not need since I started to use busaina oil, which should make me young again in no time 😉

Great video! One subject you maybe forgot to mention is the sterilization of the skin before (at home) microneedling. This is also a step where some things can go wrong (e.g. forgetting this step altogether, using the wrong antiseptic or too harsh of a solution etc.) With regards to a sterile gliding agent: Most people microneedle at home due to the cost of (recurring) professional treatments. These sterile hyaluronic acid ampoules are quite expensive and hard to get, causing people to use all kinds of other, cheaper and more easily available, but non-sterile options. Maybe for regular at home use a sterile saline solution would be a better option, based on the costs and availability?

I microneedle my whole face with a .5 roller once a week and I don’t use anything before or after except alcohol to disinfect before the process. The dry feeling afterwards is uncomfortable but I developed what I believe were granulomas on my lips from getting too close with the roller and applying lip balm shortly after. It took about a month to go away so less is more for me.

You probably shouldn’t use alcohol on the skin. Just cleanse normally, and use glycolic acid toner on your face. Sterilize the roller with alcohol and let it dry. After I would apply serum. Alcohol is drying and can make your sebaceous glands over produce oil.

    • @ep5275
      @ep5275 2 года назад +1

@@tilllemonade5877 I don’t even rinse afterwards since I don’t bleed. I use a .5 needle because there are some studies that show just the act of micro needling alone is enough to produce collagen. Turns out you don’t have to tenderize your face into a bloody pulp to get results. I don’t remember the doctor who produced these results but he has a book and it’s been referred to on RUclips by Penn Smith. But you do need to disinfect your skin with alcohol prior to dermarolling just as a clinician would if they were doing a blood draw. The alcohol is temporary.

But I have used aloe before and while it was fine, I probably shouldn’t again because it’s not sterile. I clean my skin and wipe with alcohol to get all the numbing cream off. I had Morpheus 8 done and was not impressed. Hurt a lot since clinics can’t use strong numbing cream and it was expensive. Real expensive for what you get. But I only did one session for $800, not the 3 sessions for $2400 they recommended.

      4. Can we use Retinol/Tretinoin, Vit c, Hyaluronic acid, Glycolic acid, icing, collagen supplement etc. next day onwards after dermarolling/microneedling?
Please recommend generic products instead of something that I can get only with a certain brand.
You can suggest the brand along with the generic product.
      Thanks in advance (:

Yes! That would be very helpful. Also, please include products from different price points. Not all of us can afford high end for everything. Thank you, Dr Rajani! Your videos are super helpful and informative!

Great!! i'm planning using dermaroller (0,25mm) maybe once every 2 weeks, and I was wondering If it's a good idea to put on a Niacinamide 10% serum after it. The serum I have is "B-bomb" from the brand "Geek & Gorgeous". Oh, and is it ok to put it also under the eyes area??. Thank you Doc! ;-)
